World Health Organisation´s War
on e-Cigarettes May Lead to
Fewer Smokers Quitting

Breitbart London [UK], by David Atherton

Original Article

Posted By:Attercliffe, 5/30/2014 4:54:37 PM

I reported on the April 25th the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) was aiming to classify electronic cigarettes (e-cigs) as tobacco products. This means that the same restrictions on advertising, taxation, access and public use will apply to them too, and may discourage tobacco smokers to quit. It was described at the time by Katherine Devlin, President Electronic Cigarette Trade Association (ECITA) as "...hugely unhelpful for public health." E-cigarettes seem to have united the libertarian right and the socially concerned left in wanting to give a choice to smokers. Started E-cigs March 1 have not lit a regular one since then. Now I´m slowly weening myself off nicotine. This works much better than the patch or Chantix.

Cigarettes were killing me, I had no hope of quitting. Vaping was my last chance, THEY WORKED!! I started feeling better within a day, now two weeks later, it just gets better. Still addicted to nicotine, couldn´t care less. If anything, it´s been too easy, I haven´t been so consistently optimistic since, well, forever.

If you´re using the e-cigs, stick with them. Start with a medium or low nicotine liquid in the e-cig along with your favorite flavor (I liked chocolate and/or cherry drops.) Slowly reduce the amount of nicotine until you are vaping only the flavor drops.

I quit smoking almost four years ago. I was a three pack a day smoker when I bought my last pack of cigarettes. I finally felt like a former smoker on the day I realized I had forgotten to charge the e-cig for a couple of weeks. I put the e-cig away and haven´t pulled them out again.

Fine, use them medically.

I´ve also met many who have no intention of quiting and feel proud to use them everywhere and blow their "harmless" smoke over everyone.

Best wishes to those who are quitting, and may I add, about time.

E-cigs are a "tobacco product" just like CO2 is a "pollutant".

When will the insanity end?

First World War shell casings found on the Western Front are being turned into jewellery to raise money for Britain’s veterans. The Royal British Legion is using the poppy cufflinks and lapel-pins to mark next month’s centenary of the 1914-1918 conflict. The accessories are made of solid brass from artillery shell cases found on battlefields across the Channel. An RBL spokesman said: “The design is based on a poppy plucked from No Man’s Land in 1915 by Private Len Smith. He lived until 1974 and preserved the poppy in his illustrated diary.” The RBL added making accessories from objects of

Watania news agency claim the IDF contacted Samir Nofal, the owner of the house as well as his neighbours, before firing the missile warning 15 minutes later. Five minutes after that, the agency claims the building was struck by two missiles from an F16 aircraft, destroying a large part

Anti-Islamist rebels from the Zintan region who control the airport have been attacked by a rival group trying to take over the area. Flights to and from the airport have been suspended amid reports of heavy explosions and gunfire. Zintan fighters have been resisting Islamist attempts to grab power since the ousting of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. They took control of the airport and surrounding areas, 30km (18 miles) south of Tripoli, shortly after the colonel´s 42-year-rule came to an end.

Sarah Palin wants to impeach Barack Obama. In an op-ed article published last week, the former Republican vice presidential nominee declared that the crisis on the southern border (where young illegal immigrants are being detained) "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ´No, mas´."
