This Graphic On People Moving
Due to Taxes Is Essential Viewing

Independent Journal Review, by Michael Hausam

The question of whether taxes affect behavior has long been debated by economists and ignored by most politicians. This graphic by How Money Walks answers the question. The source data- from the IRS- shows the changes in each state’s total adjusted gross income of taxpayers who’ve moved either in or out. The states with the highest income taxes have had a net loss in taxpayer AGI of $107 billion, and the the states with no income tax have had a net gain of $146 billion. In other words, there’s been an exodus from high tax states to those with no

So that is why my wife has been watching those international house buying programs every night with a gleam in her ever loving eyes. I put my foot down when she mentioned Mongolia, but anything in the Caribbean and Bermuda Triangle will be AOK.

I grew up and lived most of my life living on or near a beach so that would be the best.

Washington State may be in the green column purely because we have long fought off the Dems goal of instituting a state income tax. Beyond that, it is not a state worth relocating to - the big cities are socialist, they suck you dry for punitive taxes and fees, and you need a permit for the least little thing. This is supported by the freakish environmental faction fanatically bringing Agenda 21 to bear on the residents.

“So far this year, Republicans in Congress have blocked every serious idea to strengthen the middle class.” –President Obama, weekly address, July 12, 2014 ~This has become a standard line in the president’s oratory, as part of making his case that he’s “acted this year to help working Americans on my own– when Congress won’t act.” The president started on this path on June 27, during a speech in Minnesota: “You know, sometimes I’m forcibly, you know, politic about how I say things, but I’m finding lately that I just want to say what’s on my mind. In the beginning of the 2009 flu season, Barack Obama declared the H1N1 swine flu a national emergency. By October of that year 1,000 people had already died, and according to the president there was the threat of a pandemic. In order to hasten treatment and convince Americans to line up like lemmings for a flu shot, Obama gave former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius a one-time authorization to bypass standard federal regulations to quickly respond to the outbreak. The president repeatedly warned the public that a pandemic was approaching, and that the numbers of people getting sick

Protests from local elected officials in Maryland this weekend forced the Health and Human Services Department (HHS) to cancel its plans to send illegal immigrant children to an Army Reserve center in Westminster, which is about 35 miles from Baltimore. Maryland Democrat Gov. Martin O´Malley said illegal immigrant children flooding across the border should be considered "refugees" and all be given asylum status, but after Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) publicized the federal government´s last-minute plans to sneak illegal immigrant children into Maryland, there was considerable blowback. HHS backed off, citing things like insufficient access to drinking water at the facility.

The unprecedented shipment of illegal immigrants from Texas to Massachusetts is not only straining the resources of local jails, it is costing taxpayers millions of dollars for health care, the Bristol County sheriff said yesterday. At least one illegal immigrant — brought to Massachusetts from Texas by Immigration and Customs Enforcement — is in a hospital with 24-hour surveillance, according to Bristol County Sheriff Thomas M. Hodgson, who is responsible for holding about 80 adults who are awaiting deportation. “We have two officers, around the clock, at the hospital taking care of this person, and that’s one bill. Due to

With Hamas’ decision to begin firing hundreds of rockets into Israel, precipitating Israeli action to stop that rocket fire, anti-Jew sentiment has now exploded full-force onto the public scene. Bush´s spokesman Freddy Ford said the procedure on Bush´s left knee took place Saturday at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Ford says the 68-year-old ex-president and his wife Laura were on their way back to Dallas on Monday morning. Fort says this operation and the one May 24 were both outpatient procedures performed by the same doctor. Ford says Bush is ´looking forward to getting back on his mountain bike in a few weeks.´

Of the $3.7 billion in emergency funds President Obama requested of Congress last week to deal with the mounting immigration crisis at the southern U.S. border, $1.8 billion is earmarked for housing and medical services for illegal aliens. That amount is more than four times the $433 million carved out for U.S. Border Patrol to help strengthen border security. According to a breakdown by the White House, $1.8 billion in taxpayer dollars – more than half the total emergency funding – will go directly to the Department of Health and Human Services to improve the detention conditions for unaccompanied minors

Sarah Palin wants to impeach Barack Obama. In an op-ed article published last week, the former Republican vice presidential nominee declared that the crisis on the southern border (where young illegal immigrants are being detained) "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ´No, mas´." The Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner, thinks that´s loco. (Technically, he said, "I disagree".)
