Panel: Baker must make
cakes for gay weddings

DENVER— Colorado´s Civil Rights Commission on Friday ordered a baker to make wedding cakes for same-sex couples, finding his religious objections to the practice did not trump the state´s anti-discrimination statutes. The unanimous ruling from the seven-member commission upheld an administrative law judge´s finding in December that Jack Phillips violated civil rights law when he refused to make a wedding cake for a gay couple in 2012. The couple sued. "I can believe anything I want, but if I´m going to do business here, I´d ought to not discriminate against people," Commissioner Raju Jaram said. The flag looks the same, the holidays are the same (give or take MLK Day and Black History Month), national anthem is the same, we still get to "vote," yet the entire country is far different from how it was even 20 years ago. Our invaders were clever.

This is so wrong on many levels.
The Gay couple could have exercised their freedom by finding another baker.
What happened to the baker´s Freedom of Religion and Freedom of association?
What a bout all the businesses that post signs stating that they have the right to refuse service to anyone they choose?
This is sick.

A normal person with any semblance of decency and decorum would go elsewhere, knowing that his business was not wanted. But no, gays have to make a political issue out of everything. I wonder if they would have brought the same case to court if a Muslim baker refused to make their cake.

LET´S HEAR IT FOR FASCISM! Toe the line or you´re out.

What country do we live in?

The proper response is "No." And I´d rather go out of business and relocate to a free state than cave to these fools who don´t understand what freedom and equality mean.

What are they going to do if the cake is bad? They can make him bake it, but they can´t make him bake it correctly. I´m certain there´s a barnyard somewhere close by in CO that would provide the baker with the contents of one of their stalls.

Or are they going to build a wall around Colorado and shoot anyone trying to leave? - I think I´ve seen this behavior before in recent history...

no doubt the next step is demands to make cakes and such to "celebrate" a milestone for NAMBLA. Or, perhaps, the local assembly of The Amalgamated Order of Cannibals. Celebrate diversity!, right?
Wrong. Very wrong. And expecting decent people to somehow give assent to the unspeakable practices of deluded homosexual deviants is ridiculous. And evil. But then, it is Denver.

Find a muslim store and demand that they sell you a pound of bacon.

Find a muslim restaurant and demand bacon, ham, and eggs.

Find a muslim caterer and demand that they provide a honey baked ham.

I suppose you can´t discriminate because there´s no telling where it might stop, but I see no harm in letting people like the baker put up a sign saying that while he must serve anyone by law, he would prefer not to make cakes for gay weddings, adding something like "I think a civilized, decent human being will not force me to do something against my genuinely held religious beliefs."

He added his bakery has been so overwhelmed by supporters eager to buy cookies and brownies that he does not currently make wedding cakes

When he does make cakes again ... I´d put a sign in the window that says that a percentage of all wedding cake profits will be donated to the National Organization for Marriage.

The baker should make it his/her policy to put a specific scripture reference on every cake he bakes going forward "Romans 1:24-32". Don´t write out the verses, just put that reference on every cake.

I don´t see what authority they have to require this. In the meantime can´t wait to see scantily clad women demanding to eat pork chops in a Mosque.

Notice this is all enforced by "administrative law" judges and unelected "commissions." Just like the EU, and just like federal judges inventing constitutional rights to abortion, sodomy, and SSM, this nearly all happens outside the guidelines of real law and real constitutions.

Ah, yes. Another horror story from "the Land of the Free." I´m sure the bitter irony of the first part of the first sentence was not lost on you:

"Colorado´s Civil Rights Commission...ordered a baker to make wedding cakes for same-sex couples...." Seems like the "civil rights" of homosexuals take precedence over those of Christians.

Of course, there were other factors at play here. The qu... homosexuals sued, and the judges ruled against that "unenlightened" bible thumper. It is Colorado. And this is not a good time to be a Christian...either in Egypt or the US. [Ah, but little do they know -- there ain´t no bad time to be a Christian.]

Shades of Mark Steyn´s successful battle against the Canadian "Human Rights" Commission.

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that

President Obama is known for being competitive on the basketball court, but he´s also apparently a cutthroat pool player. Gov. John Hickenlooper, D-Colo., told reporters at the National Governors Association meeting on Sunday that the president surprised him by beat him in two consecutive games. To add insult to injury, the two were playing at the Wynkoop Brewing Company, a bar that Hickenlooper co-founded.
