Obama´s West Point Speech signals
a presidency in deep trouble

American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Yesterday’s speech to the graduating class of West Point by President Obama may be remembered as the signal that his presidency has entered a crisis of confidence, much as Jimmy Carter’s infamous “malaise” speech has gone down in history as marking a failed presidency. Not only was the content of the speech delusional (calling Russia “isolated” in the wake of a massive and historic gas deal with China that marks a major rapprochement between two powers hostile to the United States; claiming Ukraine as an example of the success of his coalition strategy), the delivery was wooden, as if Obama

As CIC isn´t obam suppose to salute each soldier?
If he iis, and did not, kind of shows how much respect he has for our military.
I bet this was one of those obligations he does to keep his butt in the WH...he will get revenge by giving himself a 10 million dollar vacay paid for by the tax payers..

Watching the video of Obama´s introductory reception by the Cadet corps (BTW - that means the live ones present - it is "corps" not "corpse") I noticed that the handful of individuals who stood appeared to all be visitors, not cadets.

In their positions as cadets the young men and women did not have the option of not attending, walking out or shouting "You lie!" as one congressman did at a state of the union address.

The apparently unanimous statement by the body by their silence was eloquent and unmistakeable in its import.

this is the drivel you get when a president: (a) doesn´t believe the United States is a special nation/people; (b) we are the cause of virtually all of the world´s problems; (c) organizations like the United Nations are the real key to making the world "safe;" and (d) the US military is an instrument of evil, to be loathed, contained, and dismantled and/or neutered as much as possible.

I served in the US military when Jimmy Carter was president, and I cannot tell you how bad the morale was under his sorry reign, especially after then 1980 Desert One debacle. I can only imagine what our professional military men and women must have to stomach in order to recognize this loser as their CIC. This man is without question the NUMBER ONE security threat to the United States, and I am not sure the next administration will be able to recover from the damage Zero has caused to our economy, military, prestige, and national morale. January 2017 cannot come soon enough for me: in the meantime, I will hunker down and grit my teeth.

#8 - I know nothing about the services, but I think I read somewhere that the C.I.C. should always return a salute, and I was wondering if when giving the young men and women their diplomas, that he did not return their salutes because he was upset by the reception he received. Tired today, but this kind of retaliation, if that what it is, is childish on his part, and is making all of us so weary of him (not that I ever was that much of a fan).

Someone in his circle should give him a heads-up that the way he was received may have had a lot to do with his speech.

Obama doubles down yet again on his anti-American foreign policy. Especially his Muslim foreign policy. All in spite of the results to date in places like Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, China, and other places.

Our enemies shake their heads in amazement, and plan accordingly.

This is a very dangerous time for America. Our troops and American interests are probably vulnerable in many places in the world. Attacks can come economically, militarily, and through terrorism.

All thanks to Obama who is listening to critics and haters of America to form his foreign policy. The effects will be felt for decades.

Hope America survives.

I thought it was a fine speech, in that it neatly summarized the confused, weak, blame America first concept of foreign policy he has.
The only heartening thing was that the audience was largely unmoved by this sham and showed it.

Obama was completely out of his element yesterday at West Point. He was not talking to a gaggle of low information voters in Chicago but was talking to The Long Gray Line who know much more about American history and international affairs then Obama. It should not be surprising that the speech that Obama delivered, full of false choices and straw men that Obama knocked over to repudiate foreign policies that nobody with any go-power is advocating was not well received. If you want to experience a great West Point speech listen to General MacArthur´s fair well speech to the Corps of Cadets that is entitled Duty, Honor, Country. It is on Youtube.

Øbama is a unique piece of Americana. He is the first President with an Imperial mind set. He has almost exactly the same family background as Hitler and Stalin and Saddam Hussein. He also feels "special" as an agent anointed by the Gods to achieve his own personal salvation of the world. He is a cold, unfeeling man who will not go down lightly. He is spiteful, vengeful and narcissistic to a clinical level.

He is a very long way from through with this nation. Only this coming election offers a glimmer of hope for America. He can be stopped. But only if we can take the Senate back in spades! (no pun intended!)

Basically, BarryO was telling these graduating Cadets, who´ve spent the last four years of their lives learning to be warriors, that they can get used to running meals-on-wheels programs and performing Muslim outreach.

I remember the ROTC candidates that I knew in the late 60s during my university days. Some of them feared that the Vietnam conflict would end before they got a chance to get into it. These were young men descended from three, four or five generations of professional military men.

The conservative commentators who advocated a “path to citizenship” after the 2012 election bear partial blame for the current wave of illegal immigrants from Central America. Many of those who advocated for amnesty following the 2012 election are now complaining that people indeed came expecting that amnesty. The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the

President Obama is known for being competitive on the basketball court, but he´s also apparently a cutthroat pool player. Gov. John Hickenlooper, D-Colo., told reporters at the National Governors Association meeting on Sunday that the president surprised him by beat him in two consecutive games. To add insult to injury, the two were playing at the Wynkoop Brewing Company, a bar that Hickenlooper co-founded. "You know I´ll tell ya -- the man is a shark," Hickenlooper told reporters, Time reports. "I was up a few balls. I felt pretty good. I was actually wondering whether how hard should I --

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
