California congressional candidate
ran pro-gun robocall hours after
UCSB mass-shooting

Daily Mail [UK], by David Martosko

Tony Strickland, a former California state senator aiming for a seat in the House of Representatives, robocalled constituents with a gun-rights message on Saturday near the congressional district where a crazed murderer shot and killed three people, and stabbed three others to death, a day earlier. ´Protect our gun rights! Vote for Tony Strickland for Congress!´ the Republican´s call script says. ´Tony Strickland has a history of protecting our Second Amendment rights and will do the same in Congress.´ ´Tony has been a longtime supporter of the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms,´ a voice on the call

Why has the shooting murder of 3 Jews in Brussels in "gun control central" completely disappeared off the news?

If you are a Republican candidate in California who supports gun rights, how do you get your message out? The California press is going to distort any message you put out via them to either ridicule or attack you. A robocall gives you a chance to get your message out without distortion. When the press then attacks or ridicules, you at least can force them to play the message. The coverage thus becomes a force multiplier.

More guns in the hands of good people is the answer. Why are the people with the right answer expected to run away and hide their message when it is most needed ? What is the underlying assumption of this headline writer ? I´ll tell you. All crisis demand more government control and conservatives must NEVER benefit from crisis.

I appreciate pro-Second Amendment ads especially when the centralized staters are doing their celebratory smearing. There is no reason or advantage to pretending the vultures have the moral high ground.

Robocall was scheduled prior to the shooting. Nothing to see. But the reality is that when the election finally rolls around, the Dems will have overplayed their hand on this (they already have) and voters won´t care when the message went out just that it did.

I appreciate the clarity of the article.
In the states, the reporting is "´gunman´ kills 6".
In the UK they explain that a "murderer" stabbed 3 death and shot three to death. Fundamentally, their focus is on the individual responsible for the carnage.

Amazon has been dragged into a major EU tax crackdown after officials demanded documents relating to the online retail giant´s tax affairs. The EU´s competition commission has asked Luxembourg, where Amazon´s European business is based, to hand over details on the company´s tax payments, according to a report in the FT. An EU official told the newspaper that Brussels was seeking more information on the nature of the tax deal that had been struck between Luxembourg and Amazon. The move could lead to a full-blown investigation into the retailer´s European tax arrangements. The online retail giant has joined a growing

Only days after Patrick Moore, the disillusioned co-founder of Greenpeace, said the green movement has become a "combination of extreme political ideology and religious fundamentalism rolled into one," Greenpeace seems determined to prove Moore was right. The group has launched a fun-sucking, fundamentalist attack on the toy company Lego, claiming "Shell is using Lego to clean up its image for dirty oil drilling" in the Arctic. Greenpeace, like an environmental Bible-thumper, demands, "Lego, how will you rebuild what Shell destroys?" In fact all Lego has done is agree a deal in which the Anglo-Dutch petroleum giant gives away Shell-branded Lego

Ever since Islamist militants emerged as the dominant force in the conflicts in Iraq and Syria, much has been written about how groups such Isis, which is currently in the process of establishing an Islamic Caliphate in northern Iraq, should be distinguished from the mainstream al-Qaeda movement. Isis fighters are so extreme, or so the argument goes, that even al-Qaeda is appalled at their barbarous treatment of their fellow Muslims, to the extent that Ayman al-Zawahiri, al-Qaeda´s somewhat isolated leader, has attempted to disown them. President Obama has, except on fleeting occasions, routinely disdained the customary Oval Office language of compromise and coalition-building for the low arts of sophistry and belittlement. That was to be expected, given his background as a Chicago community organizer and product of that city´s corrupt Democrat political machine. But Obama has far exceeded dismal expectations. No previous American president employed the systematic distortion of fact and mendacious characterization of opponents that have typified Obama´s presidency.
