White House mistakenly identifies
CIA chief in Afghanistan

Washington Post, by Greg Miller

Original Article

Posted By:Toledo, 5/25/2014 9:37:57 PM

The CIA’s top officer in Kabul was exposed Saturday by the White House when his name was inadvertently included on a list provided to news organizations of senior U.S. officials participating in President Obama’s surprise visit with U.S. troops. The White House recognized the mistake and quickly issued a revised list that did not include the individual, who had been identified on the initial release as the “Chief of Station” in Kabul, a designation used by the CIA for its highest-ranking spy in a country. The disclosure marked a rare instance in which a CIA officer working overseas had his cover

Comments:
Of course the WP tries to compare this chief with Valerie Plame who had a desk job. Still blaming Bush and Cheney for their incompetence and the media lapdops do its bidding

This wasnt a mistake - Obama and his terrorist agents were outing a CIA Chief - just like they put all those SEALS on an unsuitable helicopter after OBL hit.
Traitors in WH are not incompetent - they are traitors.
Outing a covert agent is a CRIME - they must be held to account.

This was a shot from the White House across Langley´s bow: a more pointed way of saying "I have a pen and a phone and I know how to use them."

The question, still wide open, is whether the Company will take the hint and suddenly develop wall-to-wall amnesia, or whether any of the heirs of Donovan and Angleton will remember who they really work for, and why.

As much by intent as incompetence, this administration harms the national security of this nation. And not just the administration, the leftist US media, in this case, the Washington Post -- which was directly complicit in the worldwide dissemination of this INTENTIONAL outing.

FTA: "The list was…included in a “pool report,” …meant to be shared with other news organizations, including foreign media,…the pool report was filed by Washington Post White House bureau chief Scott Wilson. He sent his pool report to the press officials, who then distributed it to a list of more than 6,000 recipients. Wilson said that AFTER THE REPORT WAS DISTRIBUTED, he noticed the unusual reference to the station chief and asked White House press officials in Afghanistan whether they had intended to include that name. [Emphasis added.]

"Station Chief" is a trigger phrase in security. The "inadvertent" inclusion of this name, highlighted by its omission in the revised list, and Wilson"s "inadvertent" release of this name to the world are not believable.

The White House pushed back against a Republican subpoena for a top presidential adviser to testify this week, saying that summoning David Simas to Capitol Hill raised significant concerns about separation of powers. White House counsel W. Neil Eggleston wrote in a letter Monday to House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R., Calif.) that he would direct his staff to provide a briefing Tuesday on the White House Office of Political Strategy and Outreach. But Mr. Eggleston questioned the Republican lawmaker’s to decision to subpoena Mr. Simas, who serves as the director of that office. “While I am hopeful that we can

Nadine Gordimer, the South African writer whose literary ambitions led her into the heart of apartheid to create a body of fiction that brought her a Nobel Prize in 1991, died on Sunday in Johannesburg. She was 90. Her family announced her death in a statement. Ms. Gordimer did not originally choose apartheid as her subject as a young writer, she said, but she found it impossible to dig deeply into South African life without striking repression. And once the Afrikaner nationalists came to power in 1948, the scaffolds of the apartheid system began to rise around her and could not be

The interview’s purpose was to discuss Carter’s negative response to Hewitt’s previous interview of former Vice President Dick Cheney. The interview was lively and interesting but it did not go well for Carter, who was forced to admit his ignorance of the historical context of the situation in Iraq. Looked at one way, the interview might almost seem like pointless point-scoring. It galloped into the debate with the tech industry’s classic certainty but wound up facing the same obstacles that have halted reform for decades.
