A $40,000 BMW, $300 Armani sunglasses,
flying first class and a private

before he became the ´virgin killer´

Elliot Rodger often complained on his YouTube videos that his life wasn´t fair. But, his own social media presence reveals that the son of Hunger Games assistant director Peter Rodger lived a life of privilege. He posted several videos and pictures behind the wheel of his black BMW 328i, a luxury coupe with a starting price tag of nearly $40,000. Rodger, who is believed to have killed six people in Santa Barbara on Friday night because he frustrated that he was still a virgin at age 22, posted a YouTube video of his flight home from a vacation to Britain

Comments:
I think I know why this entitled little snot couldn´t get a girl - They weren´t as in love with his stuff as he was!

Someone somewhere said something about kid being a narcissist. I think that could very well have been his problem. He seems good looking and certainly had money, and I would think anyone else like that would have had a relatively easy time finding female companionship. But when you are your whole world, you shut everyone else out whether you realize it or not.

Perhaps he was a bit too fussy? For a few hundred, he could have rid himself of his virginity long ago. Finding someone to love him probably would take longer, since he seemed to value his stuff more than people.

Appears he was given everything he desired in life by his parents. When it came to sex he felt entitled - someone had to give it to him. The concept of him having to give anything to get something was so foreign to his upbringing that paying for it didn´t compute.

In a very twisted way it speaks volumes as to our new world, ushered in by millions of people like his parents who spend millions of dollars ensuring that their world view is rammed down the rest of society´s throat by those they elect and support. Entitlement, victim hood, not the least bit of remorse for destroying the lives of those who don´t conform and blaming everyone but themselves for the inevitable results of living a self-centered soulless life.

I have the feeling that the only women he was interested in were "perfect" blonds -- the kind that could easily be next month´s centerfold in Playboy.

He was rich and not bad looking. Sadly, there are plenty of girls out there that would have given in to him if he had asked. But it´s pretty clear that he was used to having only "the best of everything" and that is what he expected in women too. But he wasn´t that rich or that good looking.

He should have just gotten daddy to buy him a spot as the next Bachelor...

He had Asperger´s like the Newton killer had. He had been in mental health therapy since the age of 8. Asperger´s prevents the person from social interaction with others. Just heard an interview with a neighbor of his who said he couldn´t carry on any kind of conversation with anyone and therefore had no friends. Obviously he was angry with the world because he knew he was different and couldn´t cope with his situation. He must have hoped owning all his toys would make people like him but of course it didn´t.

Money can´t buy you happiness or health.

Wealthy or poor, far too many kids today have no empathy or common sense. This is what the ´me generation´ produced.

Wonder what cocktail of psych meds he was on? And how about the mental health community start trying intensive therapy to help young people relate to others in a healthy manner. Rudimentary social skills can be taught, especially if you have the kind of money his dad seems to have had. There are correct ways to act around others but most of these hard leftists reject that statement so we increasingly get killers like this.

The world is crammed full of overindulged kids in possession of a large sense of entitlement. Very few of them write 141 page manifestos or produce retribution videos.

Asperger´s as well as other parts of the autism spectrum have become the diagnosis du jour. From the extent of Roger´s delusions I suspect undiagnosed paranoid schizophrenia was more likely the problem.

A bit more focus on the parents is in order.

If this obnoxious self-absorbed kid had everything in abundance, which he did, and because he called himself an "alpha male", which he wasn´t, and since he had all those outsized opinions of his own perfection, which he did, this wasn´t merely Aspberger´s. It was his parents telling him that he deserved a BMW, $300 sunglasses and the rest -- that he was better than everyone else, richer than everyone else and that money matters more than character and kindness.

When everyone tells you how wonderful you are and gives you every material thing you can ever want (like Obama), you believe it. Why wouldn´t you if no one is around to tell you otherwise?

The girls on campus told him otherwise. Because of his obnoxious materialism and sense of entitlement, they avoided him. He was a prig, a boor and more than likely, a bore. That doesn´t come from a vacuum; it is placed there by authority figures early in life.

My husband is a Judge. He has said on more than a few dozen occasions that he wished he could put the parents, not the kids, in jail.

NORWALK -- Police say an all-out brawl occurred on the Island Belle early Sunday while hosting the "Rock Da Boat" summer cruise. At approximately 4 a.m., a frantic phone call was placed to the Norwalk Police Department from a woman who had locked herself in a bathroom in fear of dozens of people fighting on the boat. Officers rushed over to Veteran´s Park, where they found the vessel as it was docking at the city boat launch. As it got closer, officers say they could see a rowdy fight on the lower level of the boat, with patrons screaming and

House Republicans were scrambling Tuesday night to determine the fallout on their leadership team and governing agenda after House Majority Leader Eric Cantor was ousted in his GOP primary in Virginia´s 7th district. “I don´t know” was the most common refrain among shocked Republican members, senior House aides and GOP operatives when asked to assess the impact of Cantor´s defeat. The Virginian, the only Jewish Republican in Congress, was widely viewed as the heir apparent to House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and for most of his political career was considered at the forefront of the more conservative party the GOP

BOSTON — Comedian Bill Cosby and his wife Camille are supporting protesters marching across Massachusetts in opposition to Kinder Morgan’s proposed natural gas pipeline. The couple, who own hundreds of acres of protected land in Shelburne Falls, about 100 miles west of Boston, have been opposed to the pipeline since the company notified them last winter of plans to survey their land. Glenn Beck has set up Mercury One Children and Family Border Relief Fund to help illegals coming into the United States. He’s already raised $600,000. Beck stated that Obama would not have to step in and ask for $3.7 billion if private charities would pick up the slack and give to the swarm of illegals crossing the border. Is he kidding? Do we really need more churches and non-profits enabling this blatant attack on America? Rich people and liberal elite billionaires have no skin in the game when it comes to the consequences of illegal immigration so what do they care? It’s the working class and middle class who will take the hit.

On Friday’s broadcast of PBS’s “NewsHour” New York Times columnist David Brooks and Creators Syndicate columnist Mark Shields took on the House Speaker John Boehner’s lawsuit against the Obama administration, which alleges oversteps in executive authority by the Obama White House. Both acknowledged Boehner’s gripe with the Obama administration had merit, but were skeptical of the lawsuit’s chances. However, they both also took on the alternative offered by former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK), which was to impeach President Barack Obama. Both dismissed that course of action as well, with Brooks calling it “cloud cuckoo land.” Partial transcript as follows: WOODRUFF: So the Highway Trust
