D-Day for Britain´s Political Establishment
as EU Election Results Due

Breitbart London [UK], by Raheem Kassan

Original Article

While voting ended in Britain on Thursday at 10pm, it is only tonight after the polls close in the democratically significant city of Athens that results can start being announced across Europe. Ballot boxes have been locked away for days, and will be resurrected in just a few hours time in order to be counted, ready for the media circus to start. For Britain´s political establishment, today is D-Day. Nigel Farage´s eurosceptic, UK Independence Party (UKIP) has been promising an "earthquake" in British politics. If they deliver it, garnering around 30 percent of the vote and topping the polls, then

Comments:
The polls in Athens close/closed around noon US eastern time today. While polls in the UK closed yesterday, EU results had to be held back until Athens closed. Those results should be out soon.

Fingers crossed for UKIP!

Sorry, should have waited a bit longer. WSJ says:

However, the first official results won´t be published until late Sunday evening . . .

Whether that means there or here is not clarified. Those who are chomping at the bit will find WSJ´s live blog at:

EU bureaucrats receive exorbitant salaries, perks and tax free status living off the backs of the middle class taxpayers in all EU countries.
They are the Parasitic Class feathering their own nests as European economies stagnate.
Hopefully UKIP will win big and the UK can reclaim its sovereignty and MONEY.
Farage will not be losing any sleep as indicated in article -but parasitic three Cameron, Milibrand and other will and should.
Go UKIP! Go USIP!

"If however, UKIP polls second place, this would considered a disaster for Farage and his gang, even if it really isn´t. UKIP has raised expectations beyond what any reasonable analyst would have previously considered, and that could prove costly for the party´s image."

Unfulfilled "raised expectations" are indeed a peril for any outsider movement. The established parties would love to pounce. Let´s hope the promise of UKIP is realized.

GREENVILLE--Former state treasurer Thomas Ravenel, who resigned from office after his arrest on drug charges, said he is running as an independent for the U.S. Senate currently held by Lindsey Graham in South Carolina. Ravenel announced his intention Friday at an Independence Day rally in Greenville. He still must deliver 10,000 signatures from registered voters to state election officials by July 15 to get on the ballot. Ravenel wants to reduce the size of government and give people more personal freedom. He says the U.S. needs a better foreign policy. Ravenel said he knows the 10 months he served in

Huge swathes of Helmand Province, the area of Afghanistan where hundreds of British soldiers were killed in eight years of bloody fighting, are once again in the hands of the Taliban, The Mail on Sunday can reveal. The districts of Now Zad, Musa Qala and Sangin have been overrun by insurgents after British troops withdrew to the security of Camp Bastion--the last remaining UK base in the province. The return of the Taliban to hundreds of square miles of territory which was previously liberated by British soldiers makes a mockery of Prime Minister David Cameron’s declaration of ‘mission accomplished’ in

Twenty Roma parents and other family members who sent their own children on to the streets of Paris to rob holidaymakers were beginning prison sentences of up to eight years each yesterday. British visitors were among the hundreds of tourists targeted each day around the Louvre, Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower by some 40 youngsters. There were disturbances in the court late on Friday afternoon when the tough sentences were handed down. The heaviest went to women--including mothers--involved in the crime network. The senior judge of three involved in the case, Dominique Piot, said: ‘Each minor had to steal

Recycling is authoritarian, demeaning and an unutterable waste of time, energy and money. No surprise, then, that the European Union is planning to force its vassal states to do much, much more of it. Last week, the European Commission proposed its most draconian waste disposal legislation yet: a plan requiring 70 percent of all municipal waste and 80 percent of packaging waste to be recycled by 2030; a total ban of the landfill of recyclable waste by 2025, aiming "to virtually eliminate landfill" by 2030. As even the Guardian quietly concedes, this is an impossible ambition:

A Taliban bomb attack on the outskirts of Kabul set ablaze 200 fuel trucks that the militants claimed were supplying foreign troops in Afghanistan, officials said. The tankers were set on fire as they sat in a parking lot waiting to enter the Afghan capital, which is currently gripped by a fraud dispute over presidential elections in June. Taliban insurgents fighting a 13-year-war against US-led forces in Afghanistan often attack western supply convoys and claimed responsibility for the late Friday night attack. Television footage showed black smoke billowing above the site of the attack, with the charred wreckage of dozens of trucks

Ukraine crisis:

Pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine have fled their eastern stronghold of Sloviansk amid an offensive by the military, rebel sources say. President Petro Poroshenko has ordered the military to hoist the Ukrainian flag over the city council building. Sloviansk´s rebel mayor said fighters had left, with reports saying they had headed towards the town of Kramatorsk. Ukrainian forces launched an offensive against the separatists this week after a 10-day ceasefire broke down. The BBC´s David Stern in Kiev says the military´s capture of Sloviansk - where the eastern insurgency began in April - will be a major victory for the government.

A charter plane believed to be carrying immigrants arrived this evening at San Diego’s Lindbergh Field, apparently from Texas. Three Homeland Security buses arrived a few minutes later, trailed by numerous law enforcement vehicles. There is no information as to the buses´ destination. Earlier this week, federal officials said that 140 immigrants who had been detained crossing the border in Texas would arrive Friday. But since the blockade by protesters Tuesday at Murrieta, officials have declined to provide information about the movement of the immigrants.

The Obamas have spent over 44 million dollars in taxpayer money on travel and vacations. Some are even calling him the “most well-trvaeled, expensive” president in our nation’s history. As Americans head off for the long holiday weekend, let’s take a look back at some of the president’s holiday spending. Our president vacations a lot — we’re talking $44,351,777.12 worth of “a lot,” with most expenses charged to the American taxpayer. As of March 2014, Obama has spent more time traveling internationally than any other president, taking 31 trips since assuming office in 2009. The 119 days spent overseas have

President Obama has quietly promised Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren complete support if she runs for president — a stinging rebuke to his nemesis Hillary Clinton, sources tell me. Publicly, Obama has remained noncommittal on the 2016 race, but privately he worries that Clinton would undo and undermine many of his policies. There’s also a personal animosity, especially with Bill Clinton, that dates from their tough race six years ago. A former Harvard law professor and administration aide, Warren would energize the left wing of the Democrat Party just as Obama did against Clinton in 2008. He pleaded anew for new immigration policies, saying the vast range of backgrounds and experiences that has made America a melting pot for more than 200 years also makes the country stronger. He argued that the system must be retooled for the U.S. to remain the greatest nation on earth. "The basic idea of welcoming
