Israeli, Palestinian leaders accept
Vatican invite to discuss peace efforts

Bethlehem, West Bank - Pope Francis took a dramatic plunge Sunday into Mideast politics while on his Holy Land pilgrimage, receiving an acceptance from the Israeli and Palestinian presidents to visit him at the Vatican next month to discuss embattled peace efforts. The summit was an important moral victory for the pope, who is named after the peace-loving Francis of Assisi. Israeli-Palestinian peace talks broke down in late April, and there have been no public high-level meetings for a year. Francis landed in Bethlehem, the cradle of Christianity, in a symbolic nod to Palestinian aspirations for their own state.

The so-called Palestinians do not want a "state" as much as they want to destroy every Jew in existence. They can´t help being raised to lie--it is in their holy book, the Quran--so they can not negotiate honestly.

There have been many times in the over four decades of "peace talks´ that they could have walked away with a "state," but they reneged, or just plain bombed Israel to signal the end of the talks. At one point, Arafat was promised over 95% of what he asked for, and he walked away because the agreement did not end Israel as a state.

Golda Meir was correct when she said: There will be peace when Muslim mothers love their children more than they hate Israel."

There can be no compromise with people who want you dead.

Every other nation--in the history of the world--has kept territory won in war, except Israel.
Every other group of ´war refugees´--except so-called Palestinians--were assimilated within two generations.

America’s expanding police state

With so much happening internationally and the number of scandals, crises and general screw-ups of the Obama administration here at home, it’s worth noting a disturbing development here on the domestic front: a rapidly expanding police state. On my radio program last week I had the pleasure of speaking with Cheryl Chumley, a reporter for The Washington Times, about her new book, “Police State USA: How George Orwell’s Nightmare is Becoming our Reality.” (Snip) Mrs. Chumley’s chapters in “Police State USA” provide a treatise on all the elements of society that are under attack as big government seeks to sustain

A call for contractors to help Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deal with tens of thousands of illegal immigrants massing at the Mexican border advises potential vendors they will be expected to report within one business day deaths, escapes, suicide attempts, sexual assaults, contact with smugglers and organized crime syndicates and “media interest.” (Snip) A similar request for information for “Escort Services” for unaccompanied alien children (UAC) was posted on the same government contracting website in January—which appears to show that federal government was braced for the influx currently overwhelming border states.

US sets up honey bee loss task force

The White House has set up a taskforce to tackle the decline of honey bees. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the agriculture department will lead the effort, which includes $8m (£4.7m) for new honey bee habitats. Bee populations saw a 23% decline last winter, a trend blamed on the loss of genetic diversity, exposure to certain pesticides and other factors. A quarter of the food Americans eat, including apples, carrots and avocados, relies on pollination. (Snip) The decline in bee populations is also blamed on the loss of natural forage and inadequate diets, mite infestations and diseases.

Iran told six big powers on Friday it would not accept their "excessive demands" after the latest talks on lifting sanctions against Tehran in exchange for curbs on its nuclear work yielded no breakthrough, with a deadline for a deal just a month away. US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman said it was Iran that would need to shift its position: (Snip) The stakes are high in the Vienna talks, which will resume on July 2, as the powers seek a negotiated solution to a more-than-decade-long standoff with Iran that has raised fears of a new Middle East war and a regional nuclear arms race.

Washington - The White House on Friday announced tens of millions of dollars of new funding and expanded enforcement facilities to step up efforts to deal with the surge of children arriving illegally from Central America. The United States said it would launch a $40 million program to improve security in Guatemala to reduce pressures forcing flight to the United States and a $25 million program to provide services to youth in El Salvador who are vulnerable to organized crime pressure, the White House said in a statement. The Obama administration also said it would provide a "surge" in immigration judges,

The Obama administration is looking at expediting the movement of Ahmed Abu Khatallah, the suspected ringleader of the 2012 Benghazi attacks, onto U.S. soil from the Navy ship where he is currently being held in the Mediterranean Sea, Defense Department officials said Thursday. Military leaders and Department of Justice personnel are mulling plans to use a military aircraft or charter plane to bring Khatallah to a prison inside the United States. Garnering 24 percent of the support among likely GOP voters, Mr. Romney led a list of 14 potential Republican presidential hopefuls by a mammoth margin in the Granite State. His nearest competition was New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who got 9 percent, Sen. The fate of the state of Iraq hangs in the balance, US President Barack Obama said at the White House on Thursday, announcing military preparations for "targeted and precise" kinetic action against ISIS, a terrorist militia conquering territory in eastern Syria and northern Iraq. Iraqi leaders "don´t have a lot of time," Obama said, warning that the country might once again descend into civil war. While Obama has not yet ordered military action, he positioned assets in the region for a strike, he said. Obama also announced that 300 military advisers would be deployed to Iraq to advise and train officials there.

Hillary Clinton — the woman assumed to be the next Democratic Party presidential nominee and quite possibly the next president — is evidently a big snooze. According to Mediate, her interviews to promote her book on CNN and Fox had underwhelming numbers. In the case of Greta Van Susteren’s show, she sent people fleeing midway. More importantly, her book itself is a sales disappointment and, I would wager, even more disappointing if you could ascertain how many who did buy it read actually past page 15.
