Pope opens Mideast trip
lamenting Syrian conflict

Amman, Jordan - Pope Francis called on Saturday for an "urgent" end to the Syrian civil war and lamented the refugee crisis it has spawned as he opened a three-day trip to the Middle East. During his first stop in Jordan, Francis also urged greater religious rights for minority Christians across the region, thanking King Abdullah II for encouraging a "climate of serene coexistence" between Christians and Muslims. "Religious freedom is in fact a fundamental human right and I cannot fail to express my hope that it will be upheld throughout the Middle East and the entire world," he said

It would behoove conservatives to admit why the same MSM that lies and covers-up on a daily basis for Dear Leader Barack Hussein has such sympathy for this pope, as opposed to the previous ones. Could it possibly be because Francis has repeatedly called for a socialist "redistribution" of wealth, in complete harmony with the "fundamental transformation" goals of Dear Leader Barack Hussein and the Democrats? Or am I missing something here?

Some popes have served the cause of human freedom, and some have not. It behooves everyone to admit that the veil of religion (which the Left most definitely is) should not blind one to underlying political motives.

Are Pope Francis´ rose colored glasses dimming his vision of reality? I think he is a big ? as a Christian leader if he ends up emboldening those who torture, kill and take from others.

I am very pleased to see his first stop in Jordan. King Abdullah is a good man who deserves more support. Countries that pledged to assist Jordan with the Syrian refugees are backing down. Christians in the Middle East need a champion more than ever. This pope is taking up their cause. I love him for that. He is a man of god and lives that every day. It´s not so easy in a modern world.

Washington - The Supreme Court has rejected a challenge to California’s law that bars mental counseling aimed at turning gay minors straight. The justices on Monday let stand an appeals court ruling that said the state’s ban on so-called conversion therapy for minors doesn’t violate the free speech rights of licensed counselors and patients seeking treatment. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled last year that California lawmakers properly showed that efforts to change sexual orientation were outside the scientific mainstream and have been rejected for good reason. Liberty Counsel, a Christian legal aid group, had challenged the law along with

Sanford, FL - A judge on Monday ruled against George Zimmerman in a defamation lawsuit he filed against NBC Universal over edited 911 calls made after Trayvon Martin was shot and killed in 2012. In the ruling, Judge Debra S. Nelson said, "There are no genuine issues of material fact upon which a reasonable jury could find that the Defendants acted with actual malice." In a hearing earlier this month, Zimmerman´s attorney said NBC manipulated the call to make it seem like Zimmerman was chasing Trayvon Martin because of the color of Martin´s skin. Zimmerman: "This guy looks like he's up to no good or he's on drugs or something.

Los Angeles - ABC executives are in the process of bringing Rosie O’Donnell back to co-host “The View,” a well-placed insider tells FOX411. It would be the second time around on the show for the controversial comedian, who left in 2007 after just one season. “The network executives really wanted Rosie back,” the insider said. “They’re confident she has what it takes to add some controversy and drive the ratings up. It is a smart fit.” After O’Donnell’s first time in the hot seat, ABC said in a statement that it was unable to agree on a contract to bring her back for a second season. House Speaker John A. Boehner’s call to sue President Obama for overstepping the bounds of executive authority marks a stunning break for Republicans, who for years have tried to keep the courts out of the big questions of the day. Just a decade after House Republicans tried to strip the courts of their ability to hear key cases on such matters as the Pledge of Allegiance, the GOP is now pleading with federal judges to get more involved — chiefly to rein in Mr. Obama. “The courts have absented themselves from major disputes about the meaning of Article I and Article II of the Constitution, this dispute with regard to the power of the

Six immigration activists were arrested for protesting outside of Rep. Ed Royce´s (R-Calif.) district office late Friday after they stopped traffic in the middle of a busy street near Los Angeles, according to reports. The protest, organized by the Service Employees International Union, was one of dozens held around the country Friday to mark the one-year anniversary of the Senate passing a sweeping immigration bill, which would pave the way for 11 million illegal immigrants to stay in the country. But House Republicans have refused to take up similar legislation, angering many immigration activists. In Washington, immigration activists

In 1974, as America was losing Vietnam and descending into economic chaos, Richard Milhous Nixon did one great thing — he resigned rather than subject the nation to the living nightmare of the impeachment pending in the House of Representatives, followed by a trial in the Senate. For Iran, Benghazi and the ongoing, raging conflicts that Team Obama peremptorily sparked across the Middle East; for the targeting of political opponents using federal government resources; and for enriching undeserving cronies using taxpayer dollars, President Barack Hussein Obama and his enablers should go quietly into the night and soon.

Striking new images released by NASA this week show significant reductions in air pollution levels across the United States. In particular, at least one pollutant, nitrogen dioxide, has decreased substantially over the past decade. After ten years in orbit, the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) on NASA’s Aura satellite showed that the decrease is particularly prominent in the Northeast, the Ohio River Valley, and other major cities. For example, NASA reported a 32% decrease in New York City and a 42% decrease in Atlanta between the periods of 2005-2007 and 2009-2011. Facebook’s News Feed—the main list of status updates, messages, and photos you see when you open Facebook on your computer or phone—is not a perfect mirror of the world. But few users expect that Facebook would change their News Feed in order to manipulate their emotional state. We now know that’s exactly what happened two years ago. For one week in January 2012, data scientists skewed what almost 700,000 Facebook users saw when they logged into its service. Some people were shown content with a preponderance of happy and positive words; some were shown content analyzed as sadder than average.

But Obama rejected the plan in 2011 and 2014. Democrats are beholden to the radical green movement – the poor and middle class be damned. Now this… Canada pulled the plug on Keystone and will

Here, in another exclusive excerpt, Klein describes how Bill’s health is a preoccupation of the Clintons. A pair of black, armor-plated SUVs swung into a suburban cul-de-sac and crunched to a stop in the driveway of the Clintons’ home in Chappaqua, New York. A wall of burly Secret Service agents jumped out and surrounded the man who emerged from the lead vehicle. It was mid-summer 2013, and Bill Clinton looked shrunken and weary.

On January 29, 2014, the Department of Homeland Security advertised for a vendor to escort 65,000 “unaccompanied alien children,” indicating that they not only knew the alien invasion was coming, they planned it.

Hillary Clinton is just too unlikable (remember that Barack Obama called her “likable enough” in one of the most memorable back handed compliments of recent political memory), and too transparently greedy, self-serving, and out of touch. Not to mention the appalling foreign affairs crises the United States faces in the wake of her term as Secretary of State. Her brand is tarnished.
