Obama’s Constitution
New York Sun, by Editorial

Original Article

President Obama has a new slogan. It used to be “It’s Bush’s fault.” That, however, has become a bit shopworn, six years into a presidency that hasn’t managed to get the economy producing jobs at anything like, say, the Reagan rate. So now he’s blaming — wait for it — Roger Sherman. He is the only signer of all four of America’s great state papers, the Continental Association (that set up the trade boycott with Britain), the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the Constitution. Sherman’s greatest contribution was as architect of the so-called Connecticut Compromise. That was

Wasn´t he an instructor in Constitutional law? Meaning that he doubtless spent the semester shredding the Constitution and its authors to bits. Where is anyone who ever remembers taking a class from this commie phony?

What was that oath that Obama swore not once, but twice? Something about preserving, protecting and defending the Constitution?
He is forsworn.
But, in the absence of any controlling legal authority (in the words of Albert Gore, Jr.), he will continue his career of havoc until his time expires.

GRANJENO CITY, Texas—A remote section of the U.S.-Mexico border near the Anzalduas International Bridge is one of the few places where media can witness and record the mass crossings of minors coming from Central America. The U.S. Border Patrol is now restricting journalists´ access to the area citing safety concerns. “You can’t be here," a Border Patrol agent said. After learning that he was speaking with Breitbart Texas, the agent repeated his assertion and stated, “It isn’t safe for you here.” The agent refused to give his name and then grabbed his phone, acting as though he had a phone

Call it Paul Ryan’s finest hour. It’s a video of the congressman from Wisconsin confronting the commissioner of Internal Revenue over the missing Lois Lerner emails. It’s easy to see why the clip is going viral on the Web. It is one of those rare moments when Congress loses its temper and a major figure says what the American people are thinking. They don’t believe Commissioner John Koskinen is telling the truth. They don’t believe him. Mr. Koskinen protested. No one believed that either. Mr. Ryan’s ire was triggered by the suggestion of one of the Democrats that Mr. Koskinen

Well, well, well. Guess who has gone calling on Ahmad Chalabi. Why, if it’s not Brett McGurk, the senior aide of the State Department in respect of Iraq. He’s just fetched up at the home in Baghdad of the founder of the Iraqi National Congress. Mr. Chalabi is the visionary who won the Iraq Liberation Act of 1995. He’s the man whom the Left likes to blame for allegedly making up intelligence to trick America to going to war for Democracy in his country. The State Department hated him above all others. Now it’s come a-calling. This news was brought

The Obama administration Friday abandoned plans to use a defunct college in rural Virginia town as housing for some of the illegal immigrant children flooding across the border, bowing to fierce local opposition as the government struggles to find sites to put the thousands of unaccompanied children. “We have heard the concerns of many of the residents and leaders of Lawrenceville about the proposal to temporarily care for unaccompanied children at the now-closed Saint Paul’s College,” said Department of Health and Human Services spokesman Mark A. Weber. “We have taken this proposal off the table and will move on quickly to

The conservative columnist George Will found himself in a firestorm of controversy and faced the inevitable calls from his progressive critics for his voice to be silenced after he wrote a controversial column about how colleges prosecute accusations of sexual abuse and dating violence. Both men and women are troubled by how campuses are handling cases of alleged sexual assault. Will highlighted a growing concern among students and parents over the increasing frequency of accusations of sexual misconduct, and the appearance that the accused are often presumed guilty before being proven innocent. “Questions about sexual assault policies in higher education

No longer able to compete as a news outlet, left-wing CNN has shifted its focus to documentaries like "The Sixties" and reality entertainment programming like "Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown." Overall ratings have continued to tumble at the network, though, and now adbuyers are pushing back and refusing to pay premium advertising prices. According to Variety, adbuyers believe "News audiences can be purchased more efficiently elsewhere." Skepticism from buyers – a natural element of this yearly haggle – comes after CNN has reworked its positioning . The network, part of Time Warner’’s Turner unit,

Every 60 seconds, Americans pour more about $7 million into the U.S. retail industry. Consumers buy an average of 1,440 McDonald’s burgers and 5,695 Starbucks drinks every minute of every day, according to an engrossing new infographic from Retale.com. It’s no surprise that Americans are big spenders — the U.S. retail market totaled $3.2 trillion last year, and it’s expected to climb even higher this year, with online retail growing at a rapid pace. By 2018, annual online spending is expected to surpass $2,000 per person, according to Forrester Research. Amazon alone sells more than $84,000 worth of items online

I have been listening all week to TV pundits lamenting that Lois Lerner’s hard drive has been destroyed, and therefore her e-mails are lost. This is simply not the case. I never cease to be amazed at the lack of understanding of how the e-mail system works. When you write an e-mail, it goes to your server to be sent to the person you e-mailed. Your server keeps a copy of that e-mail, and of all your e-mails – sent and received. When you create all the folders in your e-mail program that you use to save e-mails in...these are also

The Obama administration’s claim to have been surprised by the wave of children flooding over out borders may turn out to be another political lie of the year. Sundance of Conservative Treehouse noticed a very peculiar advertisement: On January 29th of this year, the federal government posted an advertisement seeking bids for a vendor contract to handle “Unaccompanied Alien Children“. Not just any contract mind you, but a very specific contract – for a very specific number of unaccompanied minors: 65,000. • Why would DHS and ICE be claiming “surprise” by the current influx of unaccompanied minors on the border

Mitt Romney, seen as too stiff and robotic to win over enough voters to claim the presidency in 2012, is undergoing his latest reboot, trying to become the Republican Party´s elder statesman in an Image overhaul different from his predecessors who lost their bids for the White House. Twenty years ago, Romney was a would-be giant killer, conservatives´ best hope to defeat liberal icon Sen. Ted Kennedy in 1994. Then he became the savior of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Utah, turned moderate Massachusetts governor. In 2012, he was a presidential candidate never fully embraced by his party. And now, he´s
