Former McCain Adviser: Amnesty
Needed Because Americans Not

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Tony Lee

On Thursday, a former adviser to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and the president of a think tank that supports the Senate´s amnesty bill said America needed sweeping amnesty legislation and more immigrants because native-born Americans are not making enough babies. "Like all important policy issues, it comes down to sex," Douglas Holtz-Eakin, who advised McCain during the 2008 campaign, said Thursday at a National Journal event on immigration. "The blunt fact is the native-born population does not have a fertility rate high enough to keep the population growing." His comments on a panel with five others echoed former Florida governor and potential

I´m so tired of these morons in the Republican party. Maybe they´re not "making babies" because the economy is in the toilet and they don´t have jobs. That´s what we need, more illegals to take the jobs from Americans. s/o

Why make babies when the economy is terrible and so many jobs are being taken by immigrants that there is little chance of ever becoming comfortable enough to support children. So let more immigrants in to exacerbate the problem instead of cure it.

Illegal immigrants add to the congestion and housing costs - especial in Southern C and Greater NYC. They also depress wages for the lower skilled.

A major reason for low birthrates is the high cost of housing - and low wages. Illegals help bring on low birth rates for the people already here. Get rid of the illegals and housing costs will drop and wages will rise. Americans will go forth and multiply.

Got that McCain aid? It´s no wonder that we call it the Stupid Party.

Responsible young people are planning for their future in a tenuous environment. Can they pay for higher education? Will they be able to get a job? Will they be able to save enough for a down payment on a condo or starter-home? Do they need two incomes to survive? Can they afford the healthcare for a family? Can they feed and cloth a child, and provide a responsible life for their growing family? Is it safe to bear children because now you are an older parent?
Thinking people ask: how can we take on the responsibility of a child (or another child) at this time?

Clearly, the answer is for Americans, once again to have the opportunities to work and flourish in a free enterprise system, and to be free from this restrictive and punitive Obama regime .

He equates amnesty and legal immigration.

If the nation needs workers and will treat them decently then it will attract plenty of legal, able, immigrants. No illegal immigration or amnesty will be needed for any purpose.

It is also a mistake to believe a nation needs, or will need, some magic number of residents.

A nation cannot "need" 400m people or 300m or 200m because there simply is no such correct number. Reading tea leaves is as sensible as seaking the "right" number.

Business demand for amnesty and plentiful cheap labor is based upon what worked in the past. But the businesses of the future can´t and won´t work that way.

Look at automobile plants, you see acres of assembly lines, hundreds of robots, but hardly a person in sight.

It´s so true that most of us here realize why responsible young adults may be putting off having children. It´s the economy. However, illegal aliens from Mexico having babies by the carload because of WIC, Medicaid, free this and free that. We subsidize irresponsible behavior, reward illegals and responsible folks are footing the bill.

45 MILLION Americans were aborted. This has led to a labor shortage, so these guys presume that we need to import replacements from the disaster areas that are central America - people from a dysfunctional, violent, failed culture based largely on worthless values - not American values.

Sad end to America - aborted into oblivion.

President Obama will celebrate the 4th of July weekend in part by ritually sacrificing majestic bald eagles on the altar of “green energy.” Liberals might call that progress. Real Americans would rightly call it what it is: bird murder. Last week, the Obama administration gave a California wind farm permission to kill bald eagles with impunity for up to 30 years. The birds are supposed to be protected under federal law; without a waiver from the president, killing them would result in six-figure fines and up to 18 months in prison per eagle. The strong June jobs report released Thursday is giving Democrats a needed boost of confidence ahead of the midterm elections. Accustomed to the president and his party being blamed for a sluggish economy, Democrats found themselves in an unfamiliar offensive spot with the news that employers added 288,000 jobs and the unemployment rate fell near a six-year low last month. President Obama was all too happy to tout the good news, even making a surprise stop at a Washington, D.C., textile factory on Thursday to discuss the strides made since the financial crisis struck in September 2008 while urging Republicans

Of all the Supreme Court opinions you´ve read and argued about this term, Halliburton v. Erica P. John Fund probably isn´t one. But it could be vitally important to your retirement security. The decision, handed down in late June, places modest limits on lawsuits in which large numbers of investors sue a company after losing money on its stock. In practice, such suits -- known as securities class-actions -- are not limited to occasional, genuine fraud cases where investors get clobbered because of a company´s management manipulating share prices. HOUSTON, Texas—The George W. Bush Institute held an immigration reform panel this week that completely ignored any meaningful discussion of border security.
