Double takes as Lewinsky comes
back to the social scene

New York Post, by Mara Siegler & Emily Smith

Original Article

Monica Lewinsky is back on the social scene after breaking her 15-year silence about her affair with President Bill Clinton. Lewinsky, wearing a conservative but girlish pink and black lace dress, showed she no longer wants to stay in self-imposed hiding by attending a high-profile Manhattan event Thursday night, the Kitchen Spring Gala Benefit at Cipriani Wall Street. Lewinsky, 40, arrived at the gala with Vanity Fair’s editor of creative development, David Friend, who has been a longtime confidante and persuaded her to pen her essay “Shame and Survival” in the magazine’s June Issue. Sources said Lewinsky had wanted to

Comments:
Why is Vanity Fair now so very chummy with Lewinsky? It is not too outlandish to think the Clintons are behind this for some twisted reason.

Clintons want her out and about so they cannot be accused of destroying her life.
Bill and Hilary are the ones who should be asked and shunned.
Sexual predator Bill and his intimidator Hillary are the real disgrace.
Juanita Broderick´s story has never Ben refuted by either of them.
They don´t want her to sue for their LIES.

The double-takes just might have been about that hideous dress she was wearing.

Bless her heart, she still doesn´t know how to dress.

She chose not to go on with life. Many other women who have been front and center in scandals have gone on to employment, marriage and becoming mothers. But, then there are those who thought the rich and powerful man would eventually come to his senses, divorce the wife and marry her. I have no sympathy for her.

If Monica is indeed shy now, she has come a long way from popping her thong underwear at the President of the United States.

VA destroyed records to cover up
massive cancellations for wait-list fraud

Judicial Watch has found documentation that shows a deliberate effort to destroy documentation relating to massive cancellations of appointments at the VA in order to falsify wait times. In a press release this morning (not yet up on its site), the watchdog group lays out the findings from documents accessed through FOIA demands that vindicate one whistleblower and expose the wider fraud effort that went far beyond scheduling. In this case, the Office of Inspector General might have some questions to answer, too: Judicial Watch announced today that in March 2014 it obtained internal Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) documents revealing

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has begun releasing illegal immigrant children ´by the hundreds´ into the custody of adult relatives who are illegal immigrants themselves, an HHS official familiar with the situation on America´s southern border told MailOnline late on Tuesday. Tens of thousands of the under-18s – ´Unaccompanied Alien Children´ (UACs) in government-speak – have poured across the U.S.-Mexico border in recent months, creating what President Barack Obama has termed an ´urgent humanitarian situation.´ Most of the children are turning themselves in to U.S. Border Patrol agents, who transport them to a facility where they are

Deja Vu: If the Reagan era was the "decade of greed," what would you call the Obama era? How about a rerun of the Seventies? Someone who lapsed into a coma in the ´70s and woke up today might wonder if time had passed at all. Sure, the cars are sleeker and the technology cooler, but the rest — in large part thanks to President Obama — is starting to look vaguely and uncomfortably like the worst of that awful decade. A few parallels worth noting: • Economic stagnation: The 1970s gave birth to the term "stagflation" — a noxious combination of high

Politics: As aliens pour over the border by the thousands, President Obama honors illegals at the White House — as good a sign as any that, for him, encouraging illegal immigration is all about securing Democrat votes. Despite Vice President Joe Biden´s taking time from his World Cup schedule for a last-minute side trip to Central America to urge the locals not to send their children through cartel-infested Mexico across the U.S. border, the stronger message came Tuesday from the White House. There, Obama honored 10 illegal immigrants as recipients of his two-year-old Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty

And a darn good thing it is, too. The International Energy Agency’s researchers have in previous reports noted that they were counting on an acceleration in oil production from Iraq as a pretty clutch factor in the global formula that determines oil prices; Iraq’s major energy hubs don’t seem to be in any immediate danger, but sans that hoped-for output acceleration or even just with stagnant output, growing global demand could start sending prices upward in a big way — and Iraq is hardly the only traditional supplier struggling with political instability and investment problems. It’s encouraging news, then, that the

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said on Tuesday he was confident relations with Brazil were on the road to recovery after he assured President Dilma Rousseff that Washington has changed the way it conducts electronic surveillance. (Snip) The problem with the “Obama is unimpeachable” argument is that he has already been impeached as Leader of the Free World. Any observer of Obama’s collapse will have noted his marginalization in international councils. Britain flatly refused to go along with him in enforcing a Red Line in Syria.

Asked which president of the past 25 years they admired most, some 42% of respondents named Mr. Clinton in the new Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Annenberg Survey. That was more than twice the share that named any other president. The other three presidents of the quarter century all polled about the same: 18% said they most admired President Barack Obama; 17% named George W. Bush; and 16%

Hardly anyone accepts the IRS’ claim to have lost two years of Lois Lerner’s emails. Those most familiar with government record retention requirements, and the technology used, probably are the most skeptical. The supposedly lost emails cover January 2009 to April 2011, the period when Lerner is suspected of targeting conservative groups with heightened and invasive scrutiny. Those emails also pertain to communications Lerner may have had with agencies other than the Internal Revenue Service. That’s key, because many suspect that the Obama White House knew about, and may have coordinated, the targeting.
