George Will to Tea Party: ´Nancy

Heritage, by Amy Payne

Tea party conservatives need to understand something, says columnist and author George Will: “Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are the problems – it’s not that complicated.” In a sometimes testy primary season, Will disputed that the tea party and a “Republican establishment” needed to be at odds. “The tea party IS the Republican Party today,” he said at The Heritage Foundation Wednesday, adding that “politics is a team sport.” He referred to an old saying – “You can’t split rotten wood” – to convey that robust debate on the right is a sign that people, and ideas, are strong. “Nothing

Yes, George, they are at least one part of the much bigger problem. Other parts exist in the Repub party. Most of the problem is caused by LoFos, leaches, and takers voting for their pork-giver of choice.

Am I the only one who is beginning to resent the name calling by so-called "conservatives" when something is said they don´t agree with. I actually don´t believe most Republicans talk that way or call each other names or insult people who have been Conservatives for years. Who ARE these Lo-fo´s", "takers" and let´s not forget "leeches"?? Personally the only ones who fit that description are democrats. Makes me wonder.....

Of course Reid and Pelosi are the problem but I can´t vote them out of office. All I can do is vote for people who are willing to stand up to them, unlike our current crop of Republican leaders.

Me, too, #2. The level has dropped to a point where anyone who does not fit the purist template can be designated a "taker, a "leach"(sic), or a "lo-fo". Sir, I protest. I am none of those things because I agree with George Will. BTW, Will is none of those things, either.

Does the national Republican Party stand for anything these days? "Immigration Reform" is a good example of the apparent duplicity of the big boys. The IRS scandals offer a chance at real, meaningful tax code simplification and reform. And the silence is deafening. John Boehner can seem to do nothing with his constitutional duty as the holder of the government´s purse strings. The list goes on and on.

George Will has been breathing the rarified air of DC for too long. He is out of touch.
Pelosi and Reid are problems because Republicans ALLOW them to BE trouble. They provide no pushback from the scum, seem to stand for nothing except themselves.

Will is a proud atheist. It is not a stretch to consider him a lo-fo. If we thirst for someone within a nation of Christians to lead by Christian principles, does that make us purists? Name calling goes both ways.

In our personal lives being purists in things that matter most to us is a faithful, even scriptural, duty.

In matters political we must learn to embrace imperfection rather than endure feculence when, because of our pecksniffian disapproval and inaction, some wholly unsuitable character like Obama or Harry Reid ascends the heights and imposes his purulent visions on us. Whether our allies in 90% of what we believe are atheist, gay, or whatever, we need to stand shoulder to shoulder with them when it really matters and forge a winning coalition. Our futures depend on doing what is politically expedient. Our enemies are doing that. And there are more of us than there are of them when everything is spelled out plainly.

Republicans--Beltway types and Tea Partiers-- must stop the public circular firing squad. Disagreement is fine; just keep it behind closed doors.

To paraphrase William F. Buckley, vote for the most conservative, viable candidate. Viable.

Even as Iraq is falling to renewed attacks by radical Islamists, pro-Russian forces escalate the killing of Ukrainian soldiers, and as thousands of illegal immigrants are surging across our borders causing misery and a national health crisis, President Obama has decided to take an extended weekend vacation, perhaps to get in a little golf. The president and his family have jetted off to the desert oasis of Rancho Mirage, California, for an extended Father´s Day vacation. The U.S. Army has appointed a two-star general to investigate how and why Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl left his base in Afghanistan, resulting in his capture, a senior defense official said Saturday. Bergdahl spent five years in captivity until his release May 31, in exchange for five Taliban figures being held at a U.S. military detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Bergdahl returned to the United States -- specifically to an Army medical facility in San Antonio, Texas -- early Friday. Hillary Clinton’s out-of-the-gate stumbles in interviews this week reflect an issue she’s faced repeatedly during her political career – defensiveness with the media, and difficulty acknowledging a mistake. By most measures, Clinton handled her hour-long interview with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer well – she was tonally on-point about Monica Lewinsky and effectively handled a question about her age. She gently mocked Karl Rove for insinuations about her health. But in the current media environment, it’s the gaffes that stand out. And her clunky response on why she and her husband have made exorbitant amounts in speaking fees – and her tense
