The United States has deployed 80 troops to Chad to augment efforts to find Nigerian schoolgirls who were taken hostage by a militant Islamist group, the White House announced Wednesday, in a significant escalation of Washington’s contribution to a crisis that has drawn global consternation. “These personnel will support the operation of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft for missions over northern Nigeria and the surrounding area,” the White House said in a statement formally notifying Congress about the deployment. The unit will remain in Chad “until its support resolving the kidnapping is no longer required,” the statement said. The Pentagon recently dispatched

We wouldn´t have do to this if Obama hadn´t lied and ignored these terrorists. That goes for the liars in the State Department like Hillary Clinton. How much will this cost us that we don´t have the money for?

Apparently there is not another military anywhere on planet earth who can or will come to the aid of anyone. It´s always the U.S. playing Earth Cop. Everyone everywhere bellyaches about what the U.S. is going to do about this and that, then we go in and later we are chastised by the rest of the world for butting in.

Eighty military! That is equivalent to a reinforced platoon! We better hope they don´t get pinned down by a larger force. We have great members in our military but to send a force of only 80 personnel to foreign country without close backup is asking for disaster.

Scandal: One of the seven people, including Lois Lerner who lost emails from the period of Tea Party targeting by the IRS, served as chief of staff to former IRS head Steven Miller. She also made 35 visits to the White House. The funny thing about emails is that they are never orphans. When you send one, there´s always a recipient who has his or her own copy. The "lost" Lois Lerner emails had recipients. How about subpoenas to all of them during the Tea Party targeting period? That should help find what we need to know — or maybe

The flood of illegal aliens, including thousands under the age of 18, at the border has gotten major media coverage in the past couple of weeks. The Obama administration acts as if it was caught off-guard by the massive influx of Central Americans who have traveled across Mexico to get into the United States. But it wasn’t surprised at all. A recently discovered government request for “escort services for unaccompanied alien children” dating back to January is raising questions about whether the government was planning for a surge of illegal immigrants this year as amnesty talks heated up in the United States.

The White House announced $254.6 million in new aid for Central American countries today. The money will go toward returning unaccompanied minors who travel to the U.S. illegally to their families and fostering youth centered programs in their home countries, the White House said this afternoon. The assistance to the governments of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras announced today is in addition to the $130 million in aid the U.S. already provides those countries in economic assistance. The U.S. has also decided to begin detaining families at the border instead of giving them court dates and releasing them. The new
