It may seem like political correctness has been on a steady rise on college campuses with no sign of reversing course, but one college is about to buck the trend. University of South Carolina Upstate is closing their Center for Women and Gender Studies (CWGS) this summer and instead allocating the money for a program to teach the principles and provisions of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Federalist Papers. Are you pinching yourself yet? You’re not dreaming; it’s true. Campus Reform reports that the closing of the center will save the state $45,000 annually. The CWGS center

Teaching the principles and provisions of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Federalist Papers should be a no-brainer mandatory course work assignment for all U.S. colleges. It wouldn´t hurt to start teaching the same in public school´s beginning at an early age. If the govn school system can indoctrinate young minds with homosexual garbage beginning in kindergarten, then this should be much easier to understand than that.

Edinboro University of Pennsylvania is eliminating four majors for undergraduates.
One of the majors beingeliminated is Woemen´s Studies. There were just four students majoring in Women´s Studies, in a student population of about 6000.
The University is dealing with a budget shortfall.

#5 probably has the main reason that the women & gender studies are being dropped. The interest in a mostly worthless degree has dropped like a rock. Maybe some students are wising up. Going thousands into debt without learning anything useful or marketable is simply stupid.

Olde Times Program Description.

A long time ago in a galaxy far away there was a nation that had a Constitution. And the people thought that meant something. They were wrong.

This Program will investigate what little is known about those people. Most scholars believe they are mythical. Others believe the USA existed but it was so evil that it should not be mentioned.

Classes will not be graded. Grading would be unfair to someone in some way. Students who don´t wish to study at all can apply for an instant degree.

Facebook´s recent study of “emotional contagion” stirred debate among researchers and in social media about whether the company went too far by tinkering with some unwitting users’ news feeds. In fact, Facebook has been using algorithms to compile and show people posts since the earlier days of the news feed, which was introduced in 2006. Facebook says it is trying to show us the stuff that is most relevant and that without intervention we would be overwhelmed by the updates. Anytime someone logs in, it says, they could see on average 1,500 posts. Facebook says the news feed will display

So far, Bergdahl has taken about 10 trips off Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston as part of a carefully staged plan to help reintegrate him into society. “I can´t give you specifics, just because I don´t want people camping out at those places, but he´s gone to restaurants, he´s gone to supermarkets,

Americans are in a period of amazingly negative thinking about the state of our country. A recent Gallup analysis drove home how deep and how threatening the current mood is. Gallup asked Americans in early June how much confidence they had in our nation´s institutions. The answer: not much. Only 30% had "a great deal" or "quite a lot of confidence" in the Supreme Court. Just 29% felt that way about the presidency. And an abysmal 7% had faith in the Congress. Think about what this means. Our most trusted national institution, the unelected Supreme Court, has the confidence of

This Quinnipiac poll, released today, is getting a lot of press. Understandably so: Quinnipiac polled 1,446 registered voters nationwide, and a plurality of 33% tagged Barack Obama as the worst president since World War II. Such historical ratings are always biased toward the recent past, of course; 28% said George W. Bush was the worst. In a head-to-head comparison with Bush, 40% say Obama is worse, while 39% think Obama is better than his immediate predecessor. In a re-run of the 2012 election, 45% now say the country would be better off if Mitt Romney were president, while 38% think

It’s not the date on which the United States actually won its freedom. It’s Independence Day, right? But independence from whom? Fourth of July is the date of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the document in which the United States of America declared itself independent from King George III and the Britain that he ruled. Prior to that, we were British colonies. The Declaration of Independence declares America’s

A federal consumer protection agency is spending more money per square foot to renovate its Washington D.C. headquarters than it cost to build the Trump World Tower or Las Vegas’s Bellagio Hotel — and the project’s budget continues to grow. That’s the House Financial Services Committee interpretation of a Federal Reserve’s Office of the Inspector General report that found that the cost to renovate the headquarters for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is now estimated to be $215.8 million. That is a significant increase from 2010´s initial cost estimate of $55 million and double last year’s upwardly revised estimate

Today, the Supreme Court ruled in the nationally followed Hobby Lobby case. The for-profit corporations that brought these cases to the Supreme Court—a craft store and a cabinet manufacturer—argued that the corporations’ religious convictions should excuse them from compensating their employees through the comprehensive health insurance required by law. Specifically, these private employers sought to exclude insurance coverage of several forms of birth control because, contrary to medical and scientific evidence, the corporations’ owners believe some birth control causes abortions. The Affordable Care Act already includes special arrangements for houses of worship and religious non-profits, like schools and hospitals. Houses
