If I had had funding in 2010, Charlie Rangel, Chuck Schumer and most of the NY State legislature Democrats would not have been reelected; Andrew Cuomo would not be governor and Obama would not have been reelected. That sounds like braggadocio but I sincerely believe that my plan to reach the voters of New York City had merit. Unfortunately, I did not have funding from billionaires like the Koch Brothers and I just don´t know how to get it nor am I good at marketing myself. What I do know is that the Republican National Committee hasn´t a clue on how

A great article, but Alicia misses the main point: The RNC wants to silence the conservatives. The RNC wants NOTHING to do with TEA party-types. I will give to individual candidates (as my meager bank account allows), but I will give NOTHING to the RNC.

Everything Alicia writes is truer than true.

I remember Forbes Magazine always posting a particular quote on its introductory pages, and one time I read, "While you can still move, move." (I took that as a sign that I should move my family from a particular state, and I´m happy I did.)

Not physically able to move much right now, but we can all move in different ways by whatever monetary support we can afford to the people of our choice, or any other way we can, to try to contradict all the untruths that swirl around because - while we can still move, we should move.

I don´t get it. (1) She had a website that was going to show videos of what elected officials had said that was not being reported by the MSM. (2) She was going to post the actual record of their accomplishments that basically were trivial like naming office building or outright corruption-using taxpayer money to support donor businesses. (3) She was going to deliver posters in Harlem that would refer voters to her website but she ran out of money.

And this was supposed to defeat the Democrat machine in New York? Is she living in a dream world?

The mealy-mouth chairman needs to go back to his Junior High and finish school. How he was elected in the first place was misguided. Granted Steele was incompetent and took credit for 2010---oh yes, he made certain he was at the rallies where Gov. Palin was rallying the troops and then he tried to say he was the main factor in their win. He pulled a McCain. McCain after his suspended campaign, trip to Washington, never went back to his ´town halls´ because he saw the 40 to 60 thousand gathered at the rallies with Gov. Palin.

Unless you are a native New Yorker like Alicia you don´t know why New Yorkers vote Democrat. The RNC does nothing to promote its agenda. It never goes into neighborhoods. It is invisible here. It takes real money to break through the wall of ignorance. Rudy Giuliani had it. Unfortunately Bloomberg just flat out lied and bribed his way to three terms. Alicia never had money to get rolling period so don´t bash her for trying.

True, true, true. It is not pandering to go into neighborhoods where there isn´t a GOP presence and introduce ourselves. It is not pandering to put up posters in those places and to hold get-acquainted events. We haven´t done a good job of it in the past, but must do better from now on.

Good for Alicia. For those who want to criticize her efforts, what did you do to help?

That´s why the RNC is fearful of the Tea Party - it´s a movement from the ground up. Unlike the RNC with their expensive weekend getaways for the wealthy to eat, drink and be merry with invited speakers like Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, etc. The Tea Party is of, for and by We the People.

This isn´t just in NYC, it´s everywhere. Here in Phoenix the GOP ignores minority neighborhoods too. Low income, no time for them. They don´t have to think about winning majorities in these areas. All they need is to pluck 20-25% away from Dems. It´s doable and it would turn a number of purple states back to red. This is were Cruz, Martinez, Rubio, Haley, Jindal can make a difference. Show a new face to the party. There are conservatives everywhere if you look for them.

I live in Florida and had to force the local Republican Party people to get me a Rubio for senator lawn sign, now they´re on board with him.

There is no conservative opposition to the juggernaut of lefty thinking. The tea party has been trashed in the media as only they can do it, so what are we left with.

Alicia hits the nail right on the head. The establishment RNC is far too interested to go where the big money is. They simple are not interested in the lo-info voters and where they live. If there is no Republican or conservative (they are not the same) presence in those areas, then GET IN THERE AND MAKE ONE! That´s how you enlarge you voter base. And tell the lo-info´s the truth for a change. It can be done. But you must be willing to put in the work to make it happen. Raising tons of money and buying TV ad´s that no one watches is not going to do it. Interact with voters. Listen to them. Answer they questions truthfully. Don´t spin anything. Realize that most people are good BS detectors and don´t like it being spread around.

I love this lady, this wise Latina. And I heartil second the motion made by #19: listen to and hire this sparkplug...at a fat salary.

If the Republican Party thinks they´re ever going to win again by writing off 47% of the voters up front, they´re smoking more dope than our Choom pResident ever did.

Study carefully the recent landslide success of Modi in India. Get more minorities on the payroll. Roll up your sleeves and go into historic Democrat strongholds and debate them, a la Lincoln-Douglas. STOP saying all Democrats are bad; win them over. STOP using the term "Lo-Fo´s." It´s elitist and condescending. Try replacing it with "fellow Americans who want what´s best for their kids" (and are not unaware of how the Democrat party and this administration has victimized them).

Highlight our minority stars, Cruz, Jindal, Dr. Carson, Rubio, Martinez, Marcus, Colon, etc., and convince everyone you can that Conservative principles are for all of us.

Since Idaho is a Republican state only one reason is apparent for the primary election voting rule passed in 2012.That is a party attempt to end independent voting by using the excuse they only intend to stop Dem cross over nominee selection.
Now this angered Independent Conservative must register Republican or lose her right to vote. Democrats do not have such a restriction.democrats are not conservative
Who cares because primary ballots are by party anyway. This voter cares.
unfortunately some candidates on the ballot are so radical the incumbents seem honest.
So i will register refuse to add phone or other contacts and never again give a dime to the party.
Conservative or not this rule is a voter rights violation.

Alicia is completely correct in all of her statements and she can back her opinions and beliefs in her column.

When Republicans talk immigration reform, I smell a rat. When Obama can release over 30,000 criminals from jail of the worst sort and the GOP looks the other way, I see dereliction of duty. They should be looking Obama in the eye while drawing up Impeachment documents.

Also someone should take the Chamber of Commerce aside and read them the riot act in supporting criminals to make a fast buck. This while 93 million American citizens are out of work while their neighbors are being mugged and murdered by lawless people.

Most of our political class are criminals.

The interview’s purpose was to discuss Carter’s negative response to Hewitt’s previous interview of former Vice President Dick Cheney. The interview was lively and interesting but it did not go well for Carter, who was forced to admit his ignorance of the historical context of the situation in Iraq. Looked at one way, the interview might almost seem like pointless point-scoring. Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

The headline in the Washington Post on June 4 was clear: Rove-backed American Crossroads won’t get involved in Cochran runoff Said the Post story the day after Tea Party favorite Chris McDaniel had defeated six-term Mississippi GOP Senator Thad Cochran in the first round of the state’s GOP primary: American Crossroads, a GOP establishment organization, has decided to shift its political focus almost entirely to the general election and will not be spending money in the likely runoff election to decide the Mississippi Senate nomination that was virtually deadlocked after Tuesday night. Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the
