China´s ´Mobile National Territory´
American Thinker, by David Archibald

Original Article

Posted By:magnante, 5/19/2014 7:07:41 AM

China has built an offshore oil drilling rig, numbered HD-981, specifically for the purpose invalidating other nations’ claims to seabed they thought was theirs. There is no doubt about the purpose of the rig given that a Chinese state oil company official once called it “our mobile national territory.” Its primary purpose isn’t commercial. If China can drill an oil well on some other country’s seabed, they can then claim that it was China’s territory all along. (snip) Miscalculation might not lead to war because there is nothing miscalculated about what China is doing. China intends to start a war.

Given what China´s real internal financial numbers must be, and a population that´s had a little taste of a pseudo-free market and exposure to what actual freedom might be similar to in Hong Kong, a war is just the thing to bring the population into line, so think their communist masters.
And we have typical Jimmy Carter-esque, feckless libtards running things at the fedgov. What could go wrong? /s

FTA: "China intends to start a war." And they have just the male-dominant society (young men outnumber young women by a large margin, due to the one-child policy and the cultural preference for sons) to do it.

Are Most Mass Murderers Really White?
American Thinker, by Selwyn Duke    Original Article

Aside from attacks on the Second Amendment, there is a certain theme that’s now repeated after every massacre committed by an unhinged individual: that most all mass killers are white. After the recent Elliot Rodger murders, for instance, Michael Moore said that he no longer had “anything to say” before immediately saying, “Nearly all of our mass shootings are by angry or disturbed white males.” (snip) Before rushing to play pin the tale on the h*nkey, did anyone bother to check the history of mass killings? Because I have — a comprehensive list dating from 1982 through 9/16/2013 is found at

I attended the Texas Republican Convention held in Ft. (snip)Even though Republicans had a small majority in the Texas House in 2002, the House was still being run by Democrats who had switched party affiliation when the winds-of-change made it expedient to change parties in order to stay in elected office. Many Democrats in office were not voted out but just changed party affiliation and continued to legislate with their former fellow Democrat

The Wikileaks document dump of hundreds of thousands of messages and reports from the US military in Afghanistan contains some vital information on the case of Bowe Bergdahl. Two days after Bergdahl disappeared, US signals intelligence intercepted radio and cell phone communications that show Pvt. Bergdahl was in a village about two miles away asking around to see if anyone spoke English. He wanted to contact the Taliban, say the intercepts. President Obama has been trying to close Gitmo for years, which means finding a way – any way – to free the terrorists from that prison. Regrettably for Obama, try as he might, he has been unable to obtain Congressional approval to release Gitmo detainees (snip) with such a conniving, deceitful administration, if a Taliban sympathizer/Army deserter was used as the bargaining chip to free five high-level Taliban fighters, is it that farfetched to imagine that the kidnapping of an American ambassador presented the president with the perfect opportunity to swap either the Gitmo Five or some other equally dangerous

President Obama thought trading a deserter for five top terrorists would be a PR coup. What does this tell us about our president as a person? At the most basic level, it shows that Obama does not share Americans’ visceral reaction to Bergdahl’s betrayal of his fellow soldiers and country. (snip) it is important to pause and consider why Obama’s gut reaction is so off. Obama didn’t have a normal visceral reaction to the 9/11 attack in Benghazi, either. Any normal person would have rushed to his post in the Situation Room to oversee a rescue attempt. On that one, Obama

Commenting recently on the Elliot Rodger killings, arch-leftist Michael Moore wrote that while “other countries have more violent pasts…more guns per capita in their homes…and the kids in most other countries watch the same violent movies and play the same violent video games that our kids play, no one even comes close to killing as many of its own citizens on a daily basis as we do….” From a man who used to take the simple-minded gun-control position “fewer guns = less homicide,” it was surprising evidence of growth. It’s finally happening! Libs are starting to realize that the manufactured image of Barack Obama as a brilliant, capable executive is hooey, and that they have bought into an incompetent who threatens to sink them. Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post doesn’t quite put it in those terms, of course, but you don’t have to read between the lines too closely to come up with that interpretation of his piece entitled, “Americans are starting to doubt President Obama is a good boss.” The current scandal engulfing the VA is the latest example of competence questions surrounding this White House, but they

It must have seemed like a good idea at the time. One pen-and-phone executive action driving the stubborn VA scandal out of the limelight, welcoming home an American held captive by our enemies. The vanquisher of Osama bin Laden now bringing home the last prisoner of war. The optics would be great: sharing the Rose Garden spotlight with grateful parents, and a hero’s welcome from small town USA in rustic Idaho. And as a bonus, Gitmo would get 5 very troublesome inmates closer to empty. He would cap the week in which he announced the pullout from Afghanistan with a

When Bob Bergdahl launched in Arabic, invoking Allah while standing next to President Obama in the White House Rose Garden, a number of Americans were startled. This is the same Taliban that has an affinity for cutting off the heads of American soldiers. It’s no secret that the administration of President Barack Obama has encouraged cities and states not to pick up illegal aliens. Retailers are starting to push a new trend in menswear: the short suit. The ensemble looks like a regular suit from the waist up, with a sport coat over a button-down shirt and sometimes a tie or bowtie. Instead of trousers, however, the suit´s bottoms are cropped at the knee. J. Crew, Topman, Asos, and Barneys are among the retailers selling the short suit this season. They may be taking cues from fashion icon Pharrell Williams, who donned tuxedo shorts to the Academy Awards earlier this year. Since its first introduction into our lexicon, the definition of the word metrosexual has changed several times. At first it was used to describe young, urban males who were more interested in fashion, grooming and appearance than the traditional masculine male. Sexuality ran the gamut from officially gay, straight or bisexual. Then an article in Salon.com by Mark Simpson narrowed it down to the following: "He might be officially gay, straight or bisexual, but this is utterly immaterial because he has clearly taken himself as his own love object and pleasure as his sexual preference." In his book Male Impersonators,

And given Barack Obama´s frequent trips there before and during his presidency, the rumor mill is spinning. He visited Asheville last year, speaking at an auto parts plant owned by Linamar Corp. to advocate for a minimum wage hike the day after his State of the Union address. Obama has visited the trendy city of just 85,000 people three other times since his first presidential campaign. It was his debate-preparation retreat before going toe-to-toe
