4 Gang Members Indicted in Capt. Kevin
Quick Murder; 5 Others Charged in Case

WRIC-TV [Richmond, VA], by Staff

Charlottesville, Va. — According to federal court documents, four people have been charged with murder in the death investigation of Capt. Kevin Quick. Daniel Mathis, Shantai Shelton, Mersadies Shelton and Travis Bell (a.k.a. Kweli Uhuru) are charged with murdering Quick. The capital murder charge could carry a very serious penalty, according to U.S. Attorney Tim Heaphy. "That is a penalty up to the death sentence in this case that is available for that offense." Five others - Gert Wright III, Anthony White, Anthony Stokes, Leslie Casterlow and Devante Bell - are facing gang-related racketeering charges in connection to the case.

Comments:
Black Bloods street gang offshoot calling itself the 99 Goon Syndicate carjacks, kidnaps, robs, and murders a white man who also happens to be a police officer. Imagine if the authorities put a fraction of the effort they expend uncovering tea party activists, abortion opponents, and the like, into eradicating street gangs. And they probably would, except for the fact that these street gangs are cultural hallmarks of the preferred demographic groups our government has decided to protect and serve.

Shantai, Mersadies, Kweli Uhuru, Devante? Every single one of these "names" got a red underline from the spell checker.

It´s only going to get worse, too, as long as liberals are running things.

Shame is a concept we need to reinvent. Perhaps shunning has a place, as well.

Gangs are a big problem. When you look at strict gun control cities like Chicago and the high gun murder rate they have, it´s clearly not the guns, but the gangs. But politicians and the entertainment industry are lining their pockets with gang culture money and they won´t do anything about it.

RIP to Kevin Quick. Prayers for his family. He was so much more than his murderers.

Budget cuts and tight resources plague Newark public schools, but even in these tough economic times, the Newark Public Schools District has approved tens of thousands of dollars a month in spending on take-out food and catering. Police say it happened just after eleven Thursday night at the Amtrak station east of downtown. Witnesses claim they saw Fobbs pacing back and forth in the waiting area before suddenly attacking a 56-year-old man sitting on a bench. The White House on Tuesday formally requested $3.7 billion in emergency funding from Congress to deal with an influx of Central American minors along the southern border. But the proposal was quickly met with broad skepticism among Republican lawmakers, who were doubtful that the package would be approved quickly — if at all. Administration officials said the request is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building more detention centers, adding immigration judges, and beefing up border patrols and air surveillance. President Obama has said he hopes such steps will both speed deportations and discourage adults from sending children on

Sarah Palin on Tuesday joined a growing chorus of Republicans calling for the impeachment of President Obama, writing in a Breitbart op-ed that the influx of young illegal immigrants over the southern border "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ´no mas.´ " Mixed/careless metaphors aside, this is nothing but bad news for Republicans — especially four months until the 2014 election. Starting next week, House Republicans will launch a highly visible—and likely tumultuous—three-week process of bringing to the floor legislation to authorize their promised lawsuit against President Obama over his use of executive actions. "In theory, you could report out a resolution tomorrow and vote on it," said a House GOP aide on Tuesday. "But that is not the approach [the leaders] want to take." Rather, the aim is to display—if not actually engage in—a more deliberative process, even if amid controversy. This drawn-out script builds toward a potentially dramatic floor vote held just days, or even hours, before the House adjourns on

Enough is enough of the years of abuse from this president. His unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, “no mas.” Without borders, there is no nation. Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America. It’s the only promise he has kept. Fate hasn´t been kind to Hillary Clinton, at least not in its most recent phase. In 2008, when the plate was set for the national Democrats, she lost the nomination to Barack Obama, of scant years and no gravitas, who soared out of nowhere to wrench destiny from her on the unspecified promise of "change." Now, "change" has come, and people don´t like it. Iraq changed from a safe, stable ally (just ask Obama) to a terrorist haven, one of the reasons why, though no fellow Democrats seem likely to edge her, her chances of winning the White House seem dim.
