America´s Oldest Gun Maker Thumbs
Its Nose At A Two-Faced Senator

Forbes, by Frank Miniter

Original Article

Posted By:nhchemist, 5/16/2014 3:37:56 PM

Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) lost his “assault weapons” jobs. Remington Outdoor Company (ROC) announced it’s moving its Bushmaster rifle and Remington Model 1911 pistol production lines from its nearly 200-year-old plant in Ilion, New York, to its new facility in much more gun-rights-friendly Huntsville, Alabama. (Snip) Remington’s plant in New York State has been on shaky ground ever since the state passed the SAFE Act, a massive gun-control bill that bans the sale of an expansive list of what it deems “assault weapons,” including the AR-15s made by ROC in Ilion.

Comments:
In 2011 Schumer applauded The closure of a Maine plant that brought jobs to NY. That move should have been the other way around. As a local gun store said last year, 0bama is the greatest gun salesman ever.

Liberal Democrats like Schumer would be happy if all gun manufacturers and gun owners moved out of New York.

Even after they set up in Alabama, Schumer will be in Washington, DC working like a busy beaver trying to also knock out their new Alabama jobs by banning law abiding people from owning guns.

Walter Havenstein of Alton is running for the Republican nomination for governor. Democrats claim he is ineligible because although he has lived in New Hampshire since 1999 and maintained his legal domicile here all that time, he also was a legal resident of Maryland from 2008-2011. The New Hampshire Constitution states that the governor “shall have been an inhabitant of this state for 7 years next preceding.” (Snip) Because of the Democrats’ insistence that “domicile” be kept strictly separate from “residency,” Havenstein has been a legally domiciled inhabitant of New Hampshire since 1999.
