The DNC Used Benghazi
to Solicit Donations

Breitbart InstaBlog, by John Sexton

Despite Democrats´ apparent outrage over Republicans mentioning Benghazi in connection to fundraising appeals, it turns out the DNC did the same thing. Democrats were shocked last week that some Republican leadership organizations including the RNC would mentioned the Benghazi scandal in fundraising appeals. NPR called it a "partisan flashpoint." The DNC´s chairwoman and communications director both decried the politicization of a tragedy. But last May the DNC sent out a fundraising email signed by Communications Director Brad Woodhouse which made the political fight over Benghazi a reason to donate. It opens: Friend -- Getting in President Obama´s way has been the top

First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign is claiming water made Albert Einstein smart, Muhammad Ali a Heavyweight champion, and Audrey Hepburn stylish. Mrs. Obama is again using hashtags, this time to promote her drink water campaign, and is encouraging individuals to post photos of themselves drinking water on social media. The campaign, which is based on faulty science, is a joint initiative with Mrs. Obama’s anti-obesity group Let’s Move and a Partnership for a Healthy America (PHA). From the Let’s Move blog: PHA is now challenging everyone to spread the word about water and how it powers you during life’s

Union interests are targeting McDonald’s restaurants May 15th in their campaign to raise wages to $15. In actuality, it’s just a cover to try to force the global chain to unionize workers in order to increase the unions’ flagging membership, which has been decreasing for decades. That’s why they’re not going to tell the workers that if they actually were successful in raising the wages, they’d most likely lose their jobs as restaurants close down or their jobs are replaced my automation. Job losses are exactly what are happening on military bases after Obama announced minimum wage hikes among employees

Fencing is not only an Olympic sport; it is sponsored by more than 30 NCAA colleges and universities. However, that didn’t stop a North Dakota university from banning its fencing club from practicing on campus. The reason? Fencing violates the school’s “weapons policy.” Via Fox Nation: Fencing foils not only have no sharp points or blades; the tips are spring-loaded. Unfortunately, for the newly-formed club fencing team at North Dakota State University, fencing equipment counts as a weapon, and the club has been barred from practicing on campus. Naturally, the club members and their coach are not thrilled about this

(Video) Other video games let you experience life as a cat, but now you can pretend to be a dictator. Atlanta-based Moneyhorse Games created a side-scrolling video game that will be available soon for PCs and mobile devices. It features North Korea’s Kim Jong Un gallivanting through forests on unicorn and dashing through the streets of Pyongyang, battling U.S. paratroopers and eventually setting fire to an American flag. Oh, and of course, Kim Jong Un’s noted bestie Dennis Rodman will be involved. As the Guardian points out, this game — simply titled “Glorious Leader!” — could trivialize the very serious

Jacqueline Kennedy’s private letters, chronicling her previously unknown relationship with an Irish priest, sat untouched in a college safe for 50 years, before an antiques roadshow brought them to light. Staffers at All Hallows College in Dublin touched off the unlikely chain of events back in February, when they brought a 500-year-old book to an event similar to the hit PBS show “Antiques Roadshow.” Sheppard’s Auction House was the event’s sponsor and Felix O’Neill, an expert on rare books, was blown away by the school’s “Book of Hours,” published in 1460 and believed to have once belonged to Philip the

The New York Times dismissed Jill Abramson as executive editor on Wednesday, replacing her with Dean Baquet, the managing editor, in an abrupt change of leadership. Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr., the publisher of the paper and the chairman of The New York Times Company, told a stunned newsroom that had been quickly assembled that he had made the decision because of “an issue with management in the newsroom.” (Snip) Mr. Baquet becomes the first African-American to serve as The Times’s executive editor. It´s a fact of American life that a good share of the electorate is disappointed, disapproving and even disdainful of President Obama. What´s less certain are the reasons why. For some Democrats, the explanation is simple: race. In recent weeks, West Virginia Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson and former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist have all said racism is the driving force behind Republican resistance to the president. Republicans, unsurprisingly, say their disdain for Obama is based not on the color of his skin, but on the content of his policies. After successfully bringing more than 30% of the U.S. economy — the health care and financial services industries — under political control during his first term, President Obama made it clear last week that a priority of his second term is to go after the energy sector — another 10.5%. The purpose of the White House´s orchestrated release of the National Climate Assessment on May 7 was to set the stage to drive energy markets and fossil fuels under the heel of more government regulation. Most Americans would celebrate knowing that the U.S. is on the cusp of oil and

Russia is to deny the US future use of the International Space Station beyond 2020 and will also bar its rocket engines from launching US military satellites as it hits back at American sanctions imposed over Ukraine crisis. Russia’s deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin announced a series of punitive measures on Tuesday against the US in response to sanctions imposed after Russia annexed Crimea. The two countries have long cooperated closely on space exploration despite their clashes in foreign policy. The Space Station is manned by both American and Russian crew, but the only way to reach it is by using Russia’s Soyuz

In rare cases, a blood clot may form on the brain after a concussion. This is a life-threatening condition. To this we must add that if, in spite of the rarity of the concussion to blood clot transition, that is nonetheless what really happened, we would still be well within the bounds of reason to inquire what caused the concussion in the first place, and whether it was due to syncope (fainting) brought

Now the secretary of Veterans Affairs is facing charges that veterans are needlessly dying on his watch as the head of the largest civilian agency in the federal government. Scandals have cascaded over Shinseki and the VA since the Washington Examiner revealed in August 2012 that $50,000 in taxpayer money was spent to produce a pair of video parodies that came to define the lavish spending at the two Veterans Affairs training conferences in Orlando.
