Price for Nevada dad to see state´s

Fox News, by Perry Chiaramonte

Nevada dad John Eppolito got a bad case of sticker shock when he asked state education officials to see the permanent records of his four children. He was told it would cost $10,194. A Lake Tahoe-area real estate agent by trade and a fierce opponent of Common Core, Eppolito was concerned about Nevada´s recent decision to join a multi-state consortium that shares students’ data. He wanted to know exactly what information had been compiled on his school-age kids. But state officials told him he would have to pay fees and the cost of programming and running a custom report. “The problem is that

This is horribly wrong. Could this travesty called Common Core be the thing that finally brings right and left together to combat our descent into collectivism?

Everyone should request their kids records and publicize the process and the cost. Make this an issue. This is wrong, on every level. Push back.

$10,000 for a ´custom´ report and so-called additional programming?!? A pack of naked lies.

The ability to feed a query to any database is part and parcel of the database itself. It´s the database´s raison d´etre.

How else would they run reports on individual schools, classes, teachers, subjects, etc?

But if they´re really that dumb, the idiot bureaucrats [stronger language self-censored] could have printed a full dump of the data, grabbed the pages with his children´s info, blacked out the rest and given it to him.

But again, they lied with malicious intent so the foot-dragging is a given.

Give me access and 30 minutes. No problem.

Even if they have it stored in legacy (ancient) formats that isn´t a problem.

All you need are keys to the records to pull them out...and every, I repeat EVERY system ever invented has keys tied to each record to identify ownership/association!

Getting directions on the road from Google Maps and other smartphone apps is a popular alternative to the expensive navigation aids included in some cars. The apps are also a gray area when it comes to laws banning the use of cellphones or texting while driving. The Transportation Department wants to enter the argument. The department is intensifying its battle against distracted driving by seeking explicit authority from Congress to regulate navigation aids of all types, including apps on smartphones. The measure, included in the Obama administration’s proposed transportation bill, would specify that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has the authority to

While Iraqi jihadists are slaughtering the masses, taking over major cities and engaging in the mass execution of Iraqi military in their march on Baghdad, you have to ask: How much sense does it make for Secretary of State John Kerry to be tweeting to Hollywood celebrities about the environment this past weekend? Or for President Obama to be working on his golf swing? Imagine the “optics” that sends to our foreign enemies. After all, when Islamist terrorists were attacking our U.S. Consulate in Benghazi in 2012 and murdering our people, the Obama administration looked the other way. Then blamed

One of George W. Bush´s most toxic legacies is the introduction of al Qaeda into Iraq, which is the ISIS mother ship.
