Research Immunologist
Sees Vaccine Link to Autism,
Obesity, Diabetes in Children

SharylAttkisson.com, by Sharyl Attkisson

Original Article

There’s “convincing evidence” that the rise in autism and immune-related disorders in children is related to the “rapid increase in the number of vaccines given to children in the U.S.,” according to noted immunologist Dr. J. Bart Classen. (Snip) “The best data indicates that vaccine-induced chronic disease is now of a magnitude that dwarfs almost all prior poisoning of humans including poisoning from agents like asbestos, low dose radiation, lead and even cigarettes. Most patients don’t even realize that they are suffering from the adverse effects of vaccines. Even more concerning patients and or their parents are being harassed,

Comments:
Pretty intense information. If I was a concerned parent, as all should be, this type of information would make my head spin. I always thought that women breast fed to build up the "natural" immune system of their children so what is the solution as medicine (Big Pharma) marches on?

Much of this report looks like scaremongering to me, not unlike ´climate science´ for immunologists. Children can be exposed to antigens either by vaccination or by actually getting common childhood diseases; I´d argue that the former is statistically safer. With regard to immune factors passed along in mothers´ milk, OP, this is true only of the colostrum, a fluid secreted during the first few days of lactation that provides but a limited, short-term immunity.

There´s two sides to this story. The fear of immunizations and the influx of illegals has made cases of measles and Whooping cough sky rocket here in Ca . because some chose or don´t immunize their Children...

this has been said before, but bears repeating.
the issue is not vaccinations, per se
but we get into the number being administered at one time. Your body necessarily reacts to the introduction of any foreign substance. It´s supposed to. When you introduce several at one time, the potential for weird and unforeseen interactions can rapidly become non-zero. Is it a problem in each and every case? Obviously not. But out at the "tails" of the probability curve, can happen, just as in other situations having nothing to do with medicine.
Add to that the issues with some of the preservatives, etc., that are used in some of these concoctions. Particularly those incorporating things like organo-mercury. Again, some percentage of the population will have extreme reactions.
Also, note how many meds are now being made in awful places like India. Sorry, but there´s not a cultural imperative there for sterile conditions.
Finally, as noted, individual people´s reactions to any substance or condition vary widely. Even "identical twins" aren´t identical. Ask their mothers. Or your own kids.
Calling people who are concerned about this issue a host of nasty names honors no one, and accomplishes nothing useful.

#3 hits on the aspect of vaccinations and their impact on autism occurrence that has been the only one that I ever considered credible. It certainly makes sense to me that giving children a large number of vaccines in a short period of time could cause problems. I have not seen any research on the issue which addresses that concern.

No vaccine is evaluated for carcinogenic effect and it is known that vaccines skew the immune system.
It is not beyond possibility that vaccines can cause the body to attack itself with a deranged autoimmune response from adjuvants and other substances that were deliberately introduced into the body via vaccine, like squalene.

The paper is available to read and the author of this story provides the link. Read it. Basically, the guy’s argument (there is no real study. No data from an experiment, just his opinion) is diseases in kids are going up and vaccines are increase thus vaccines are the root of all problems. Nothing about any other factors that may cause an increase in disease and nothing about improved reporting of disease. Nothing in this paper to show any test with data to support his conclusion. Just his opinion. One could easily say that the rate of heart disease parallels the increase in private ownership of cars. Thus, cars are the cause of heart disease. The junk that gets publishes as ´science’ is astounding.

Re read #3´s message - the likelihood of vaccine damage is enhanced by the multiple shot - five diseases in one shot to a tiny body. Thirty five serial vaccinations by age five are recommended. Consider too that food is being chemically altered, microwaving food alters its chemical constitution and then think about what a tiny infant body is subjected to that is not natural in the old fashioned way.

#6 Thanks for reading the link. I agree what passes for science these days is astonishing. Peer reviewed used to mean something but nowadays I really wonder. I sometimes think a lot of these epidemiological studies are nothing more than someone has an idea and then goes to the literature and extracts only the data that fits his conclusion.
BTW #5 Squalene is a natural substance that is found in shark liver(where it was first identified) and a lot of other animals and plants including humans. Its a biochemical precursor to many of the hormones that make your body function normally.
I wish people would quit being scared of chemistry. After all, the world is chemisty, why be scared of it?

#7 is correct. Stupid parents who believe this garbage and do not vaccinate their children put my fully vaccinated child at risk. (Now cases are showing up in vaccinated people thanks to these nuts.) Do what you want but don´t think you have a right to force your way into my child´s preschool.

Perhaps autism is on the rise in part because schools of education are instructing teachers that it is their job to diagnosis autism and ADHD in the classroom. (I have one teacher friend who firmly believes this is a part of her job.) In our district, public schools get money and exemptions from state test score totals when children are placed on specialized individual education plans due to learning and socialization issues.

I think the topic is one that deserves study. I didn´t get the impression that the doctor was against vaccines. One of the preservatives used in the vaccines was also used in contact lens cleaning solutions & was later banned. Thimersol (?)

My pharmacist said that the generic drug manufacturers in India have as high or higher standards in their labs than we do. I suppose it all depends on the quality & veracity of the inspection.

Several years ago there was a military hospital study done since of the 45 wives that travelled overseas only 2 came back with no adverse illnesses. All received their vaccinations. The 2 ladies had nothing in common, different: age, ethnicity, where they grew up. The one common factor they shared, that the others did not, was both were breast fed as infants. A small study for sure, but the doctors gave it notice.

Known anti-vaccination advocate Classen seems to be alone with his theories:

His work has been criticized by some, such as Amy Wallace, who wrote that the vaccine-diabetes link "...relies on the flawed work of one doctor [Classen], who gathered data on a slew of vaccines and failed to follow standard study protocols. No other study — including those using the same data — could reproduce the results."[7] Studies that have investigated the potential link between vaccines and diabetes include one, published by Frank DeStefano, which "did not find an increased risk of type 1 diabetes associated with any of the routinely recommended childhood vaccines."[8] DeStefano et al. also noted that another study of over 100,000 children examined the potential connection between Hib vaccines and diabetes and found no association between the two.[9] Similarly, the Australian National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance examined Classen´s studies and wrote that "Other researchers who have studied the issue have not verified Dr Classen’s findings."[10]

The Japanese government intends to lodge an official protest with the North Korean government. North Korea has carried out a series of missile and rocket launches into the sea in recent months, drawing criticism from South Korea, the United States and the United Nations.

The European Union is pressing the United States to lift its longstanding ban on crude oil exports through a sweeping trade and investment deal, according to a secret document from the negotiations obtained by The Washington Post. It´s not entirely surprising. The EU has made its desire for the right to import U.S. oil known since the U.S. started producing large amounts of it in the mid-2000s. It signaled again at the outset of trade negotiations, and its intentions have become even more clear since. This time, though, the EU is adding another argument: Instability on its Eastern flank threatens to cut off the supply of oil and natural gas
