Removing bad presidents
from office should be easier

Washington Examiner, by Gene Healy

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 5/13/2014 2:30:46 PM

“Don´t stop thinking about tomorrow,” commands the relentlessly chirpy Fleetwood Mac tune that served as Bill Clinton´s 1992 campaign theme. But last week, in an exclusive article for Vanity Fair, “that woman,” Monica Lewinsky, forced Bill, Hill and the rest of us to take a look back. Lewinsky, now 40, is someone who definitely didn’t “love the ‘90s.” “The Clinton administration, the special prosecutor’s minions, the political operatives on both sides of the aisle” and the emerging new media turned Lewinsky’s youthful indiscretion into a life-wrecking mistake, making her the permanent punchline to a dirty joke. It seemed like great

Comments:
Of course with all proposals, there is a negative aspect. If the Democrats were in power they would remove a Republican for little or no reason! Shockingly, Healy doesn´t say a word about the lawless, corrupt Obama. Clinton was bad, but good grief, Obama is completely out of control.

It is easy enough, IF we had a Congress filled with honorable people who put the United States of America first as did our Founders.
What we have now are corrupt people who would hide the truth to further their political futures, the USA be damned.
I DEFY a single democrat to come forward and state that they want the truth and nothing but the truth from this administration, and vow to put their country first, and MEAN it.

A limit on executive orders per year barring a national emergency (clearly itemized!)& Congress willing to hold the CIC to those powers enumerated to him/her & returning to States Rights might be a good start.

OP´s comment is along the lines of my first thoughts. We might want it to be easier to remove the likes of Obama or Clinton, but that would mean that it would be equally easy to remove a Republican whose only sin is that he/she is a Republican.

I remember that just shortly after G.W. Bush took office and after 9/11 there were rumblings among some on the far left to impeach W. They really wanted revenge, IMHO, for the Supreme Court having ruled in W´s favor.

Dems have never and will never get over it. Jesus Christ could be President and the Dems would, like be like the rabble rousers who wanted Barabas freed and Jesus hanged on the cross over 2000 years ago.

I do like the idea of limiting the number of Execute Orders a President could make in a given year (except for an emergency).

Trail Of Lost IRS Emails

Scandal: One of the seven people, including Lois Lerner who lost emails from the period of Tea Party targeting by the IRS, served as chief of staff to former IRS head Steven Miller. She also made 35 visits to the White House. The funny thing about emails is that they are never orphans. When you send one, there´s always a recipient who has his or her own copy. The "lost" Lois Lerner emails had recipients. How about subpoenas to all of them during the Tea Party targeting period? That should help find what we need to know — or maybe

NBC News has just released a preview of David Gregory’s interview with Rand Paul, set to air on this Sunday’s Meet The Press, in which the Republican senator responds directly to criticism President Barack Obama has received from former Vice President Dick Cheney and others on Iraq. After listening to what Cheney had to say, Paul remarked, “I think the same questions could be asked of those who supported the Iraq War.” In his Wall Street Journal op-ed this week, Cheney, along with his daughter, wrote, “Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of

Obama Admin Put Out a Bid to

The flood of illegal aliens, including thousands under the age of 18, at the border has gotten major media coverage in the past couple of weeks. The Obama administration acts as if it was caught off-guard by the massive influx of Central Americans who have traveled across Mexico to get into the United States. But it wasn’t surprised at all. A recently discovered government request for “escort services for unaccompanied alien children” dating back to January is raising questions about whether the government was planning for a surge of illegal immigrants this year as amnesty talks heated up in the United States.

Friday at the daily briefing, White House press secretary Josh Earnest repeatedly dismissed concerns over Internal Revenue Service claims that two years of Lois Lerner´s emails are lost forever as "conspiracy theories." "Turns out that there have been 13 months of multiple congressional investigations, including 14 congressional hearings, 30 interviews with IRS employees, 50 written congressional requests, and 750,000 pages of documents, and all of that has done nothing to substantiate false Republican claims of a broader political conspiracy," Earnest said. President Obama hopes Iraq’s Shia-led government can find a way to be more inclusive of its Sunni minority, but if it can’t come to a reconciliation with its multiple factions, then he says no amount of U.S. military assistance will help. “We gave Iraq the chance to have an inclusive democracy,” Mr. Obama said in an interview with CNN on Friday. The message for Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki also comes shortly after the Shiite leader was chided by Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani in the holy city of Najaf, south of Baghdad. The White House announced $254.6 million in new aid for Central American countries today. The money will go toward returning unaccompanied minors who travel to the U.S. illegally to their families and fostering youth centered programs in their home countries, the White House said this afternoon. The assistance to the governments of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras announced today is in addition to the $130 million in aid the U.S. already provides those countries in economic assistance. The U.S. has also decided to begin detaining families at the border instead of giving them court dates and releasing them. The new

The Obama administration’s claim to have been surprised by the wave of children flooding over out borders may turn out to be another political lie of the year. Sundance of Conservative Treehouse noticed a very peculiar advertisement: On January 29th of this year, the federal government posted an advertisement seeking bids for a vendor contract to handle “Unaccompanied Alien Children“. Outwardly, they put on a show of unity — but privately, the Obamas and Clintons, the two power couples of the Democrat Party, loathe each other. “I hate that man Obama more than any man I’ve ever met, more than any man who ever lived,” Bill Clinton said to friends on one occasion, adding he would never forgive Obama for suggesting he was a racist during the 2008 campaign. The feeling is mutual. Obama made excuses not to talk to Bill, while the first lady privately sniped about Hillary. On most evenings, Michelle Obama and her trusted adviser, Valerie Jarrett, met in a quiet corner of the White House residence.

I still think President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, even though for 14 years he allowed his literary agent to circulate a bio blurb stating he was born in Kenya, and even though for many years he attended a church where his pastor friend shouted such things as “God damn America!” I still think that he just pretended to be Kenyan to be cool, to sell books and, perhaps, to get a foreign student scholarship at those colleges from which he refuses to release his transcripts. He’s probably not actually Kenyan. But as I speculated

It didn’t matter if a man had been a war hero in the famed, all-black 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment or a house servant in a Southern plantation. All that mattered was that he was a man. To say that this development didn’t sit well with the progressive-minded women of this country is an understatement. The decision this past week by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to rescind federal trademark protections for the Redskins may ultimately tip the balance in the controversy over the 80-year-old name of Washington’s football team. If so, that would be a shame. Not because there’s insufficient reason to consider the name “disparaging to Native Americans,” as the patent office determined. Many of us recoil at the reference to skin color as a team identity.
