10 Questions for a Liberal
after Mothers Day

American Thinker, by Christopher Chantrill

Original Article

Lady Marjorie and I went to lunch on Mothers Day with an older liberal couple. You don´t want to have a political dogfight on Mother´s Day, but I thought to myself about the questions I would like to ask my liberal friends five years into the administration of America´s First Black President. (snip)What do you think about the Eich/Sterling/Ali/HGTV flaps? You see, we conservatives are rather sensitive about this. We´ve seen liberals dining out on McCarthyism for half a century, regaling us about the fascist outrage of firing teachers and Hollywood types for the sin of their unpopular progressive beliefs.

McCarthy was absolutely right to expose the communist infiltration of American institutions, and traitors who wished to overthrow our system of government got off easy to only be blacklisted or fired. Now Christians and conservatives are fired, blacklisted, hounded and shamed in the media, and targeted by their own government, while liberals feel righteous and morally superior doing it. That´s what we get for being "liberal" and allowing them Free Speech. Some people cannot be trusted with freedom. They turn around and stab you in the back.

Chris, I hope you were being sarcastic, but I´ll point it out anyway - the racism isn´t coming from the TEA Party. It´s coming from the WH, the DOJ and the black community.

Former President George W. Bush is remaining mum on the tragedy unfolding in Iraq. But as an army of bloodthirsty Islamists rampages across Iraq with the goal of establishing a 7th century religious tyranny -- a caliphate -- it´s worth recalling who years ago had predicted this would happen if the Democrats got their way. It was President George W. Bush and his top officials. They warned early on that Iraq was ripe for the rise of an Islamic caliphate -- either in a failed state created by Saddam Hussein or, they later contended, if the U.S.-led coalition bugged out without leaving

With the ongoing collapse of Iraq, the endgame for the worst foreign policy in American history has begun. It is no less than astonishing to glance over the foreign policy errors made by the Obama administration since 2009. The deliberate alienation of the UK. Thanks to direct and malicious efforts made by President Obama personally (the Churchill bust, Region 1 DVDs), the oldest and most fruitful alliance of the modern age entered into its frostiest period since the Civil War... in the midst of a civilizational conflict in which the Anglosphere comprised the sole serious opposition. The deliberate undermining of Israel.

At the University of California Irvine’s commencement last Saturday, President Obama took to the teleprompter to announce that climate change deniers are a “fairly serious threat to everybody’s future.” Alas, we are truly screwed as a nation when the president ignores real threats and challenges and instead doubles down on shooting down straw men while focusing on pseudo-science bull manure. But this is nothing new, and he continues this gambit at our peril -- for American blood will be on his hands when, in the words of his friend and spiritual mentor, his chickens come home to roost.

It’s just so darn unfair, isn’t it? She was only doing her job. Alana Goodman reports in the Washington Free Beacon (hat tip TWS): Newly discovered audio recordings of Hillary Clinton from the early 1980s include the former first lady’s frank and detailed assessment of the most significant criminal case of her legal career: defending a man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl. It is a confounding spectacle. The President of the United States faces a grave crisis in Iraq that threatens to undo the hard-won victory of his predecessor and flies off for a weekend of golf and fundraising in Palm Springs, blandly assuring the American people that his staff would prepare options for him to review in a couple of days. On Ronan Farrow’s little-watched MSNBC program Wednesday, someone looking and sounding exactly like Chris Matthews defended conservatives and the Tea Party. It’s subpoena time. And Hillary Clinton’s book tour may not be a warm-up for a presidential campaign so much as a financial and ego exercise. There will be hell to pay on the campaign trail, unless the GOP nominates a dummy. President Obama is poised to reap a whirlwind of consequences for his conduct of the war on terror. Iraq is falling into the hands of the enemy President Bush had defeated on the battlefield. The fact that the Obama administration lied to the American people about the Benghazi attack in order to smooth his re-election makes his failures in conducting

"Sales were well below expectations and the media was a disaster." According to this source, a Simon & Schuster insider, "They sold 60,000 hard covers first week and 24,000 ebooks." Wikipedia has an article describing the six times Republican politicians suggested impeaching Barack Obama, the most serious of which was a hearing by the House Judiciary Committee “formally titled ‘The President’s Constitutional Duty to Faithfully Execute the Laws,’ that has been viewed as an attempt to begin justifying impeachment proceedings”. (Snip) The problem with the “Obama is unimpeachable” argument is that he has already been impeached as Leader of the Free World. Bill Clinton is by far the most admired president of the past quarter century, a new poll shows, underscoring how much he has done to burnish his profile since leaving the White House in 2000. Asked which president of the past 25 years they admired most, some 42% of respondents named Mr. Clinton in the new Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Annenberg Survey. That was more than twice the share that named any other president. The other three presidents of the quarter century all polled about the same: 18% said they most admired President Barack Obama; 17% named George W. Bush; and 16%

Hardly anyone accepts the IRS’ claim to have lost two years of Lois Lerner’s emails. Those most familiar with government record retention requirements, and the technology used, probably are the most skeptical. The supposedly lost emails cover January 2009 to April 2011, the period when Lerner is suspected of targeting conservative groups with heightened and invasive scrutiny. Those emails also pertain to communications Lerner may have had with agencies other than the Internal Revenue Service. That’s key, because many suspect that the Obama White House knew about, and may have coordinated, the targeting.

Highly organized and bloodthirsty, the radical Islamist army called ISIS took but a few days to subjugate the cities of northern Iraq as it dreams of taking over the entire country — while President Obama played it cynically cool. The group’s stunning, barbaric march prompted the President on Friday to offer to review a range of options because America has “a stake in making sure that these jihadists are not getting a permanent foothold in either Iraq or Syria.” Returned now to the White House from a long-weekend family vacation in California, the President must face the awful reality that he dodged
