State officials slap feds:
New Mexico board orders
Forest Service fence opened

Washington Times, by Valerie Richardson

A New Mexico county board on Monday instructed the local sheriff to open the Forest Service gates blocking thirsty cattle from reaching water, setting up a clash with federal agents over state water rights and endangered species. The Otero County Commission voted 2-0, with one commissioner absent, to “immediately take steps to remove or open gates that are unlawfully denying citizens access to their private property rights.” Commissioner Ronny Rardin said Monday he was uncomfortable with taking action “against people that are my friends,” apparently referring to local Forest Service rangers, but that he had an obligation as

Comments:
Something to contemplate. An old "coot,´ named Cliven Bundy, has opened the way to fight back against the overstepping the federal government. This type of citizen protests are far from over and will have setbacks...because THEY (dRATS) have the power to bully US though executive order or very questionable judge decisions.

It is no mystery why there is growing disrespect for the law. If big government isn´t reined in, strike disrespect, insert open hostility.

I would expect this new ´endangered species mouse´ is one of the loopholes the environmentalists have cooked up with their buddies in the Federal Government. This Enviro group - WildEarth Guardians - sued and the Forest Service cut a deal with them, as opposed to holding proper notice, research, etc - so they can shortcut ranchers and other ´stakeholders´ from having a rational say when the Marxists cut their historic livelihoods out of existence by fiat.

Here´s a snip of verbiage from their website:
-halted logging on more than 21 million acres of national forests in the southwest
-ushered in a new era of endangered species protection for more than 1,000 imperiled plants and animals that will get a fighting chance at survival thanks to our historic Endangered Species Act legal settlement
-forced the closure of coal-fired power plants in pursuit of climate sanity

Environmentalists are trying to turn NM into what they have done to Africa - keep it undeveloped so they can vacation there and have it pristine w/o people making a living there, unless they are trimming their creosote bushes or fixing fajitas w margaritas.

Washington - The White House is defying a congressional subpoena by keeping a top political aide to President Barack Obama from testifying at a hearing Wednesday. The White House is arguing that Obama adviser David Simas is immune from subpoena by the House Oversight Committee in its investigation into the political office that he directs. White House counsel Neil Eggleston says in a letter to Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa that the Simas subpoena threatens the constitutional separation of powers. White House lawyers spent an hour and 15 minutes Tuesday briefing the committee´s staff behind closed doors on the political office´s

The TSA agent attending to Mr. Gray rejected the license and demanded his passport. Mr. Gray, who did not have his passport on his person, asked the agent why it was necessary,

Almost three dozen Disney theme park workers have been arrested for alleged kiddie-sex crimes since 2006, according to a broadcast report. The 35 busts have been for possession of child porn or trying to meet a minor for sex, CNN found after combing through law enforcement and court records. So far, 32 of those busted have been convicted and the other cases are pending. Two cases of child porn allegedly happened on Disney property. Disney spokeswoman Jacquee Wahler said these scary arrests represent only a tiny fraction of the company’s workforce. “Providing a safe environment for children and families is a

Representative Paul Ryan (R., Wis.,) has given up on passing legislation to overhaul the current immigration system because the border crisis has poisoned the political atmosphere for such an effort, at least for this year. (Snip) Ryan also summarized his view of how to resolve the border crisis. “The ultimate goal ought to be to secure the border, get the resources at the border that you need (and that’s where I think there’s a case for a supplemental; they’re burning through funds). But you’ve got to change the human trafficking law so that we’re not resettling people within the interior of the country, because all that does is create the incentive

Lawmakers pushed back Tuesday against the Environmental Protection Agency’s move to garnish the paychecks of accused polluters, advancing a bill that would block the new authority. The House Committee on Appropriations approved the countermeasure as a policy rider on a $30.2 billion spending bill for natural resources agencies, including the EPA, the Interior Department and U.S. Forest Service. The amendment by Rep. Tom Graves, Georgia Republican, passed the committee in a voice vote, signaling an absence of strong opposition, if not support for prohibiting the EPA from claiming authority to garnish wages to collect fines

The spark may have finally come last month, when House Majority Leader Eric Cantor was bounced in a GOP primary by an unknown challenger named Dave Brat. Plenty of materials for a potential dirty bomb are likely scattered throughout the area of Iraq controlled by ISIS, and pulling off an attack that spreads even a minor amount of radiation could be a huge PR coup for the terror group, experts told FoxNews.com. Last week, the Iraqi government in Baghdad warned the UN that ISIS operatives had stolen 88 pounds of uranium compounds from Mosul University. Even though many experts said the research materials were not enough to cause widespread harm, spreading fear is even more important to terrorists than a big body count, one terrorism expert said.

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security.
