Inside the Beltway:
A whole book on the ‘I word’

Washington Times, by Jennifer Harper

A certain book will be published on June 3 that appears to give the Democratic Party pause. That would be “Faithless Execution: Building the Political Case for Obama’s Impeachment” by former federal prosecutor and conservative commentator Andrew C. McCarthy. Let the grappling begin. The book itself has prompted a voter outreach by the Democratic National Committee, launched Sunday. (Snip) Mr. McCarthy himself rejects the idea that his book is a fancy political stunt. “‘Faithless Execution’ argues against partisan hackery. I analyze the legal case for impeachment as a former prosecutor who would not go to court without a sufficient

Comments:
Ironically, it IS about 0bama, but not for the reason I assumed. The book by Andrew C. McCarthy has the chattering class squealing like pigs. They are already trying to discredit it, which means there must be some real substance to the "impeach" word.

Leftist Elites know that a free people will never submit to the type of dictatorial power required to implement a proper regime of totalitarian control. The voters cannot be trusted and therefore must be fooled and manipulated. The birthing of the new humanist utopia is SO important that the trampling of the Constitution is a small and necessary price to pay.

They also know that they dare not admit this.

Barky is the perfect vehicle.

Impeachment is an insufficient remedy where a firing squad might better serve.

None dare call it treason.

Nice statement by Rubio, however voting for Rubio is the same as his mentor Jeb; most like running mates.

Following tradition, impeachments should be limited to one per century. That gives plenty of time to study the utter futility, the ridiculousness, and the worthlessness of the exercise. And speaking of ridiculous and worthless, how many federal judges have ever been impeached? The Medieval English had a much more intelligent solution - the chopping block.

Whole Foods isn’t dropping contraception coverage for employees but nevertheless, it’s facing a Hobby Lobby backlash. By Wednesday afternoon, more than 7,000 people signed an online petition urging Whole Foods to stop carrying products from Eden Foods, one of the 82 companies trying to opt out of covering contraception in health insurance following the Supreme Court’s ruling. The letter asks Whole Foods, which carries more than 2,000 Eden Foods products, to stand up against companies like Eden who are fighting to deny their employees basic health care. “While individual-level boycotting of Eden Foods may not have

North Korea fired two short-range missiles off the east coast of the Korean Peninsula early Wednesday, a South Korean Defense Ministry official said. No damage or injures were reported. The projectiles flew more than 310 miles (almost 500 kilometers), the official said. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has ordered his Cabinet to look into the apparent launch. The Japanese government intends to lodge an official protest with the North Korean government. North Korea has carried out a series of missile and rocket launches into the sea in recent months, drawing criticism from South Korea, the United States and the United Nations.

The European Union is pressing the United States to lift its longstanding ban on crude oil exports through a sweeping trade and investment deal, according to a secret document from the negotiations obtained by The Washington Post. It´s not entirely surprising. The EU has made its desire for the right to import U.S. oil known since the U.S. started producing large amounts of it in the mid-2000s. It signaled again at the outset of trade negotiations, and its intentions have become even more clear since. This time, though, the EU is adding another argument: Instability on its Eastern flank threatens to cut off the supply of oil and natural gas

Washington - Sen. Robert Menendez, who has been dogged by a federal corruption probe, suggests he was the target of a Cuban intelligence smear plot over allegations -- which the FBI has discounted -- that he had sex with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic. The New Jersey Democrat told CNN in an exclusive interview on Tuesday that the Justice Department should look at any evidence it may have that he was the subject of a conspiracy by the regime to spread false allegations. Menendez said he has for years had a "firm position in opposition to the Cuban regime" on grounds that it violates human rights.

The White House on Tuesday formally requested $3.7 billion in emergency funding from Congress to deal with an influx of Central American minors along the southern border. But the proposal was quickly met with broad skepticism among Republican lawmakers, who were doubtful that the package would be approved quickly — if at all. Administration officials said the request is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building more detention centers, adding immigration judges, and beefing up border patrols and air surveillance. President Obama has said he hopes such steps will both speed deportations and discourage adults from sending children on

Starting next week, House Republicans will launch a highly visible—and likely tumultuous—three-week process of bringing to the floor legislation to authorize their promised lawsuit against President Obama over his use of executive actions. "In theory, you could report out a resolution tomorrow and vote on it," said a House GOP aide on Tuesday. "But that is not the approach [the leaders] want to take." Rather, the aim is to display—if not actually engage in—a more deliberative process, even if amid controversy. This drawn-out script builds toward a potentially dramatic floor vote held just days, or even hours, before the House adjourns on

Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America. It’s the only promise he has kept. WASHINGTON — Congressional Democrats said Tuesday that they had developed legislation to override the Supreme Court decision on contraceptives. The bill would ensure that women have access to coverage for birth control even if they work for businesses that have religious objections. The bill, developed in consultation with the Obama administration, would require for-profit corporations like Hobby Lobby Stores to provide and pay for contraceptive coverage, along with other preventive services, under the Affordable Care Act. The measure could be on the Senate floor as early as next week, Senate Democrats said. “Your health care decisions are not your boss’s

Fate hasn´t been kind to Hillary Clinton, at least not in its most recent phase. In 2008, when the plate was set for the national Democrats, she lost the nomination to Barack Obama, of scant years and no gravitas, who soared out of nowhere to wrench destiny from her on the unspecified promise of "change." Now, "change" has come, and people don´t like it. Iraq changed from a safe, stable ally (just ask Obama) to a terrorist haven, one of the reasons why, though no fellow Democrats seem likely to edge her, her chances of winning the White House seem dim.
