DAVIE, Fla. - A negative one-word tweet from Miami Dolphins safety Don Jones after the selection of Michael Sam in the NFL Draft drew a rebuke from the team. Shortly after the St. Louis Rams selected Sam in the seventh round Saturday, Jones tweeted, ´´Horrible.´´ The tweet was taken down a short time later. Sam is the first openly gay player to be selected in the NFL Draft.Sam´s selection at No. 249 and the nationally televised kiss he shared with his boyfriend set off a wave of reaction on Twitter. Who was responsible for immediately making public that video of Sam´s gushing emotionality and then the lingering embrace and kiss?

If it was Sam, he should cool it. One step at a time, Michael. You´ll want friends on the field, not enemies.

It does not make any difference what his sexual proclivities are, if he does not make the team or perform on the football field he will not be a member of an NFL team very long, unless the owners have a political agenda that is aligned with Obama and his crew.

Perhaps Jones was simply very depressed that the Dolphin´s hadn´t drafted Sam and their little get-togethers were now going to be much harder to arrange.

So sit back and enjoy all the "all gay, all day" stories until he gets cut in August.

People opposed to having homosexuals make out on TV after smashing cake on their faces are allowed to voice the opinions.

The thought police are out and all of the PC stuff is way over the top.

If Don Jones, doesn´t like it, he has a right to say so and not be condemned for expressing HIS opinion.

Spot on #5, my guess is he will not be cut. They they will use him on special teams if nothing else. The NBA NJ Nets were able to offer a non-productive homosexual player a couple of 10-day contracts to make their required pro-homosexual statement. The NFL does not have that luxury. The guys says it´s not about his sexual preference at all, then chooses a jersey number to "honor" mythical gay-victimology icon Matthew Shepard. Right.

Sam is gay ~ he´s a football player with NFL potential ~ he was drafted at the bottom of the barrel! OK, but the overt, in-your-face, homosexual kiss? Too much!!! I have no problem with gay relationships ~ but, please ~ keep them private!

The gay community is overplaying it´s role in a basically heterosexual nation.....

Gays have been accepted ~ now please celebrate behind closed doors!!!

The Drudge Report, queerly enough, has had this story top-of-the-page for days now.

The picture on Drudge shows Sam smooching his sweetie (a white boy/girl if I´m not mistaken). Is this a requirement? [Black guy with white "girl," I mean.]

This guy, Sam, must be important; he´s the only drafted player to be congratulated by Baraka Hussein Obama, the President for part of this country.

Yeah # 21, even the team name, Rams, suggests some good joke material.

Stuff like this almost makes one yearn for (some aspects of) Sharia law...or the leadership of Putin (rather than the putz we´re stuck with).

Oh, wait - because it isn´t about a football player being drafted (Sam was #290, after all - hardly a newsworthy event for the NFL) - it´s about an "openly gay" person being drafted.

WASHINGTON – Has President Barack Obama “checked out”? It’s one thing if hardened critics like Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly ask whether the Obama presidency is “imploding,” as she did last month , citing a string of foreign policy debacles and domestic scandals. Or if Republican lobbyist Ed Rogers says Obama “seems to have taken something like an early retirement,” as he did in his Washington Post blog earlier this month, finding that the president’s recent speeches reveal “a state of mind that suggests he has checked out.” It is another, however, if the chief U.S. commentator for the Financial Times,

Washington — Is racial animosity behind some political criticism of the Obama administration? That’s what Attorney General Eric Holder said on Sunday. The exact phrase he used was “racial animus,” which he said motivates some of his and Obama’s political opponents. (Snip) At the right-leaning "Hot Air!" Noah Rothman used even tougher language. The Obama administration long ago perfected the art of cultivating the sense among its defenders that lingering racism inspires most of its critics, according to Mr. Rothman. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) has now controlled much of Iraq for over a month. It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks
