Marco Rubio:
I’m Ready to Run for President

Time Magazine, by Nolan Feeney

Original Article

Marco Rubio says he is ready to become the President of the United States. “I think that’s true for multiple other people that would want to run,” Florida’s junior senator told ABC’s Jonathan Karl on The Week Sunday. “I mean, I’ll be 43 this month, but the other thing that perhaps people don’t realize, I’ve served now in public office for the better part of 14 years. Most importantly, I think a president has to have a clear vision of where the country needs to go and clear ideas about how to get it there, and I think we’re very blessed in our party to have a number of people that fit that criteria.” Rubio was once considered to be a frontrunner

Yeah. A 43-year-old junior senator, who comes from a state (Florida) with another "hopeful" (Bush) like himself. Already shown many here that he´s a RINO, so support may be limited to those that think an "R" is all that´s required in decision making on a political level.

Instead of accomplishing something (other than speeches) for the United States while in the position you are currently in; you only wish to further your own political career. We have too many pols like that as it is and is a primary reason why the US is in the shape it is in now.

I agree with ZurichMike (Reply 15. From everything I´ve read, neither Rubio nor Cruz qualify to run. This debate needs to be settled before either go further. I thought Cruz might have taken steps to settle the issue but am beginning to think his desire to run take priority - as it obviously does with Rubio.

The fact Rubio thinks he´s ready to run doesn´t mean he´s ready to be president. Let´s hope if he really does decide to run, Republicans send him a clear message he need more experience -- and needs to have a ruling about his eligibility before he wastes everyone´s time.

So maybe someone can shed some light on something for me: Where´s the line between someone staying in office "too long" and someone "not having enough experience"? It seems some are shouting that we need new blood every election (as in, "vote out the incumbent"), and yet when it comes to the president nobody (except someone with years of experience . . . . . somewhere) is qualified to run.

I´m beginning to see why we conservatives can´t win anything--we don´t even know what we want!

With that said, as far as I´m concerned, Mr. Flip-Flop can sit out this next run--and every run after that, too!

I was disappointed in Marco Rubio´s stance on immigration. I was also disappointed that he had placed so much trust in certain Senators. However, I am sure he has learned a valuable lesson and will be wiser when this type of situation comes along again. That being said, I still like Rubio. I like who he is. His desires for Americans and America are conservative and traditional. He absolutely believes in our Constitution. Politically, he has served in local, state and now national government. I like the fact that he comes from a family that has worked hard for everything they have. He gets it. I love the fact that he is not egotistical. He is intelligent, extremely well spoken and knowledgeable. On most issues I know where he stands and can pretty well count on him to espouse conservative principles and be proud doing so. I do not think he is a child. As a matter of fact lots of those I consider being Presidential worthy, like Cruz (my choice for President), Paul, Walker are all in their 40´s.What any one of them lack in experience or knowledge can be helped by surrounding themselves with worthy aides and cabinet members. What sets these guys apart is their fearlessness and willingness to pick up the gauntlet and fight for America. They are young and that´s a good thing. They´ll need all the energy and stamina they can muster to fight those willing to oversee the decline of America. I am not willing to throw aside a very worthy candidate because of one issue. There are too few Conservatives willing to run for office. I´m grateful to them for their willingness to put themselves and of course their families out there for the benefit of their country and its future citizens.

Opposition research----first thing they come up is that Rubio abused the Credit Card issued for legislative use. Got caught but don´t know if he has reimbursed the personal charges. That is what one gets in Rubio. Just shortly after he hit the scene in 2010, he said he needed to relocate family to the DC area-------well, others said it was financial problems with his mortgage. He probably has his eyeballs set on the same type of spend, spend, spend other peoples´ money like obama.

Our next President inherits a mess abroad. Rubio has worked hard to position himself as a man who can take charge on the world stage.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel quietly notified Congress last week that the military is set to transfer six Guantanamo Bay prisoners to Uruguay as soon as next month, The New York Times revealed Wednesday. The deal has been waiting for Mr. Hagel’s approval since March, but stalled after the Obama administration received a wave of backlash for releasing five Taliban detainees to Qatar in exchange for the release Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. The administration did not give Congress 30-days notice in that deal, but argued it was still legal because any delay could have risked Sgt. Bergdahl’s life. A federal judge in Southern California ruled Wednesday that California’s death penalty was unconstitutional. The “dysfunctional administration of California’s death penalty system,” wrote Judge Cormac J. The delays, the judge wrote, means that sentences are carried out against only “a trivial few of those sentenced to death.” In essence, he wrote, sentences by juries have been transformed to “life in prison, with the remote possibility of death.” In making his ruling, Judge Carney vacated the death sentence of

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the
