Study: Obamacare Employer
Mandate Will Disproportionately
Hurt Low-Wage Workers

Daily Caller, by Sarah Hurtubis

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Urban Institute released a report examining the effects of repealing the employer mandate or moving ahead. The employer mandate peg of the health care law will barely affect the uninsured rate, researchers found. “Employers with 50 or more workers not offering coverage pre-ACA are the same employers that are highly likely to not offer in the future, therefore incurring the ACA’s penalties. Because the nonoffering firms are much more likely to be firms dominated by low-wage workers, low-wage employees will bear the greatest brunt of the penalties imposed,” the study found. The study

The last study I saw of numbers indicated that the largest number of newly insured were employees participating in an employer offered plan. So now the next step of implementation will cause employers to drop their plans? Obama sure has the reverse midas touch. He can turn gold into dog poop.

Hypocrisy abounds. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, financed by J&J when Bill Weldon was CEO, was in bed with Obama, along with the ACA, Pharma (Billy Tauzan), the insurance companies, et al. They all took a hit with the promise that they would be better off in the future under this monstrous legislation. Now when they see the effects of the betrayal, they want to mitigate all the problems. You slept with the devil, now pay your due!

In the remarks section some idiot said the stock market does better under demonrat administrations. I can see why - they print monopoly money to create a stock market bubble. When the bubble bursts, then they blame the republicans.

US military advisers as Iraq

Fox News, by Staff*    Original Article

A high-level Shiite cleric in Iraq issued a warning to American military advisers bound for Iraq Friday, hours before Sunni militants captured a crossing on Iraq´s border with Syria and Shiite militia members paraded in Baghdad and other cities. Sky News reports that Nassir al-Saedi, a cleric loyal to the firebrand Muqtada al-Sadr, referred to America as "the occupier" in a sermon during Friday prayers and added "We will be ready for you if you are back." On Thursday, President Barack Obama announced that the U.S. would send 300 military advisers to provide intelligence and training to the Iraqi army in its

Many observers gazing upon the current bloodshed in the Middle East have wondered aloud if we are seeing the disintegration of the nation-state boundaries established in the region nearly a century ago. But the crises in Iraq and Syria have simply laid bare a phenomenon that has been under way for quite some time. What´s more, this process is now almost certainly irreversible, and will lead to a radically different Middle Eastern map than we have known. In the heady early days of the Arab Spring, many people imagined that the Arab world might finally be entering a period of greater democratization,

Clinton navigates foreign

It is a near-perfect storm that has come together as Hillary Rodham Clinton tours the country promoting her new book and preparing for a possible presidential campaign in 2016. At a time when she is drawing attention to her record as secretary of state, the Middle East has become dangerously chaotic and President Obama’s approval ratings are sliding. That has left Clinton in a difficult position of trying to claim success when she was in office while shielding herself, carefully, from real or perceived weaknesses in the administration’s handling of crises in Syria, Iraq, Libya and other trouble spots. The federal government refuses to let one of the most controversial Internet bills ever conceived die. CISPA, as it was known when it was introduced in 2011, made a temporary resurgence last year only to meet the same opposition that had blocked its passage two years before. But as Vice has discovered, the bill is back under consideration by the U.S. Senate under a slightly altered name. The Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2014 “incentivizes the sharing of cybersecurity threat information between the private sector and the government and among private sector entities,” according to a press release published on

With the curtain soon to go up on select committee hearings on Benghazi, a key question remains unanswered: what on earth were we doing there? Washington -- I´ll let you know what´s going on, but I don´t need new congressional authority to act, President Barack Obama told congressional leaders Wednesday about his upcoming decision on possible military intervention in Iraq. The White House meeting sounded more like a listening session for the top Republicans and Democrats in the House and Senate about options for helping Iraq´s embattled Shiite government halt the lightning advance of Sunni Islamist fighters toward Baghdad that Obama is considering. According to a White House statement, Obama went over U.S. efforts to "strengthen the capacity of Iraq´s security forces to confront the threat" from

Many people, including Fox’s James Rosen pointed particular questions to the State Dept. about “why now”? As unbelievable as this might sound, the most likely answer has little to do with what’s currently being pondered as a motive for this administration, “squirrel”. The reality is within the Bergdahl deal, and the GITMO-5 to Qatar, there is a far more likely reason.Ahmed Abu Khattala is directly connected to the covert transfer of U.S. arms from Qatar to Libya in the initial 2011

The Obama administration’s claim to have been surprised by the wave of children flooding over out borders may turn out to be another political lie of the year. Sundance of Conservative Treehouse noticed a very peculiar advertisement: On January 29th of this year, the federal government posted an advertisement seeking bids for a vendor contract to handle “Unaccompanied Alien Children“. The South Dakota Republican Party state convention passed a resolution calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama Saturday. The resolution says Obama has "violated his oath of office in numerous ways." It specifically cites the release of five Taliban combatants in a trade for captive U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl, Obama´s statement that people could keep insurance companies, and recent EPA regulations on power plants. "Therefore, be it resolved that the South Dakota Republican Party calls on our U.S. Representatives to initiate impeachment proceedings against the president of the United States," the resolution reads. I still think President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, even though for 14 years he allowed his literary agent to circulate a bio blurb stating he was born in Kenya, and even though for many years he attended a church where his pastor friend shouted such things as “God damn America!” I still think that he just pretended to be Kenyan to be cool, to sell books and, perhaps, to get a foreign student scholarship at those colleges from which he refuses to release his transcripts. He’s probably not actually Kenyan. But as I speculated

Outwardly, they put on a show of unity — but privately, the Obamas and Clintons, the two power couples of the Democrat Party, loathe each other. “I hate that man Obama more than any man I’ve ever met, more than any man who ever lived,” Bill Clinton said to friends on one occasion, adding he would never forgive Obama for suggesting he was a racist during the 2008 campaign. The feeling is mutual. Obama made excuses not to talk to Bill, while the first lady privately sniped about Hillary. On most evenings, Michelle Obama and her trusted adviser, Valerie Jarrett, met in a quiet corner of the White House residence.

It didn’t matter if a man had been a war hero in the famed, all-black 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment or a house servant in a Southern plantation. All that mattered was that he was a man. To say that this development didn’t sit well with the progressive-minded women of this country is an understatement.
