´Gaming the System´: Email reveals
how Wyo. VA workers were taught
to manipulate records

Fox News & Associated Press, by Staff

An email obtained by Fox News Friday revealed that an employee at a Wyoming VA hospital instructed his workers to manipulate records to make it seem like patients were being seen within the agency’s required 14-day window, which he described as “gaming the system.” Fox News has learned that the VA was informed of dubious scheduling practices at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center and at a community-based outpatient clinic in Fort Collins, Colorado, which is part of the Wyoming center, through an internal investigation in December 2013. The problems at and the investigation into the Fort Collins clinic were reported earlier

It is just stunning the number of scandals coming out of this regime. It´s so tiring and frustrating that no one pays for the criminal acts, whether it´s involved with this, Benghazi, IRS or Fast & Furious, just to name a few. All the while Obama and his disgusting wife use the military for their political needs. It´s appalling.

If one VA hospital is gaming the appointments, a dozen VA hospitals are doing it as well. To think otherwise is stupid.

What has happened to the integrity of the people working there to just say no; that they won´t do something they know is illegal or wrong. We shouldn´t have to wait for an email to be uncovered to find out what the hell is going on.

Face it, dear friends - - this is no longer the country we grew up in - - and learned to love.

It´s now a third world outpost - - living off the wealth created by previous generations and the system of law established by them. But it produces nothing new or positive - - just engages in a long, slow slide into ignorance and lawlessness.

I have seen the future - - and it´s disgusting.

This should be a lesson to all in what happens when the government runs a health care system. And yet our liberal politicians want VA style care for everybody.

What we have here is Big Government socialism doing what it does best: lie, cover up, distort, commit fraud, unaccountability, inefficiency is encouraged, class war fare is their slogan, destroying our Constitution is a goal and slandering God is their past time. Socialism, like a cancer that is untreated, will sooner or later destoy their host country. Like cancer...it´s not a pretty sight.

When you think of all the people involved in all these many hospitals it tells me how pathetic the people of later generations have become. We were proud of our education, our accomplishments, our level of honesty, ethics integrity, and our sense of helping our neighbors.

I suspect Dr. Spock stated the downhill slide with his book, then the Communist and Socialist Parties (with their Professors in the colleges and universities) destroyed the Boomer generation and it´s gone downhill ever since. So many want money money money but do not want to work for it. That alone is pathetic.

Cavat. I dealt with the VA in Louisville KY in 2013. I presented copies of all my past medical records, had various appointments and inside of a year I had received hearing aids and my disability. I must be honest and say that everyone treated me with respect and seemed genuine in my treatments. When I had appointments I never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen.

While I am eligible to be seen there regularly I prefer to be seen by a local Doctor (under Medicare/Tricare) since the VA Clinic is 55 miles away and the VA Hospital is 85 miles. However, they do call me for the once a year mandatory visit with the Primary Care Physician. They don´t just fluff the exam, they go through everything within the limits of outpatient care.

If there are troubles there I have no knowledge of them from personal experience. Thank God for that.

#4, I believe you are right. This is not the country I remember from my youth. There were real moral standards and profanity was used mostly by sailors and construction workers and they would apologize if it was used in front of ladies. A man´s word was his bond. Integrity meant something to society. Anyone who wanted to work hard, could succeed and make a better life for themselves and their children. People actually dressed up for church, funerals and special occasions. Manners were drilled into children and they did not rule the roost. They were well loved but not overly indulged and taught that there was worth in work done honestly and by the sweat of your brow. Respect was shown to the elderly. Music actually had musicality. This is not a romanticized version of the past either. This was what life was like. It was good. Society today is far removed from this time and we are worse off for it. It was far from perfect but it was wonderful way to grow up. I miss it and regret my grandchildren will never know this America.

Could all this ongoing evil insanity be explained by the simple fact the vast majority of America´s over 21,000,000 veterans voted for the "other guy," not "The Black Messiah," in 2008 and 2012?

The VA has never been a paragon of good medical practice. It is a giant system that provides what it can, and is under constant pressure to "do more with less." If anything can be counted, like appointments, and tracked, like time and outcomes, there are going to be a large number at least fudging the numbers. I suggest that if it´s happening in one hospital within a Veterans Integrated Service Network (region) it´s likely happening at others in that VISN. The management of all these medical service outlets are pretty tight. Trouble is, the politicians don´t really want to know. Management is also politically connected and understands their part in the game.

Outstanding # 9.

What happened to America ? First, I believe we left our foundation of belief in a God and his teachings that guided our lives. We were then told that diversity at all cost was good. The rule of law was not important and our Constitution out of date just like the Bible. Finally, we were feed the PC idea that free enterprise was bad and that our country owned everyone, who was perceived to have been mistreated. The government tells you who they are.

Truly the problem is boiled down to a lack of accountability.

This is not new. But it is rampant and increasingly accepted in the Federal Gov. Voters have a significant role in this, because the same politicians are re-elected time and again... not because they are perform function of upholding the Constitution.

How often do we now hear of people who have actually done illegal OR immoral things but get bonuses! Bonuses which the tax payers pay for!

So, those who are mistreating our Veterans, in ANY way, must face quick discipline and firing is the charges are proved.

But this current BO regime has demonstrated over and again that if you support the leadership, and if you get caught, you get to resign WITH pay, get bonuses, suffer no repercussions whatsoever.

All the functionaries in government have gotten the message loud and clear: obey, and keep your lips zipped when Congress calls to inquire.

These stories make me sick.

It is disheartening to watch the United States fall so far so fast. This VA scandal is obviously widespread, but no political, or criminal conviction price is going to be paid by democrats, as they have circumvented government agencies with swarms of leftists who carry out their nefarious operations with impunity. And, of course, the old press dutifully aids in the cover-up of all dem scandals, even in cases where people died. At this moment, the WH talking points on the VA are in preparation stage. Cue up excuses such as GOP budget cuts, policies that started under GW Bush, and complicated regulations. Anything to shift the blame away from this horrible treatment of our veterans.

Thanks to the economy, the demand for VA care is increasing daily. Veterans complain to their representatives about the long wait for appointments. The representatives complain to the DVA which then sends out edicts to VA medical centers to see veterans within X amount of time. But they don´t give the centers the resources to do this. The inevitable result is what we are seeing now.

The higher ups in the VA don´t really care that much about wait times, they just want to be able to tell the Congress that they are doing something about it.

And, yes, this is the kind of thing we bought for ourselves when Obamacare was passed into law. If you like this you´ll love Obamacare. Limiting the number of providers in networks will have the same effect of increasing wait times. You´ll see.

When I heard/read up on this story, the first thing I thought about was the proposal to save the federal government an estimated $540 million per year by billing veterans´ private insurance companies for the treatment of their combat injuries and other service-related health problems floated by the Obama administration in March 2009. (Currently only non-service-related medical treatments are so billed.)" (http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/veteranshealth.asp and http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/03/10/veterans.health.insurance/index.htm .) The proposal was criticized by vets and rejected by members of both political parties.

Now we discover from a whistleblower that treatment of our vets is being deliberately delayed, and in some cases, ultimately denied. Official records were/are being altered to make it appear otherwise.

Is there a connection between B/O´s proposal in 2009 and what we are seeing? Is the denial of service and falsification of VA records a backdoor implementation of that proposal? Or, simply CYA to make a long standing backlog disappear? I do not know. But, it sure looks suspicious and feels downright callous.

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. School Shootings: Widely Reported Tragedies Since 2000 - Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. The numbers are stark: According to the FBI's 2012 Crime in the US data, nearly 70 percent of homicides for which the FBI received weapons data involved the use

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

The headline in the Washington Post on June 4 was clear: Rove-backed American Crossroads won’t get involved in Cochran runoff Said the Post story the day after Tea Party favorite Chris McDaniel had defeated six-term Mississippi GOP Senator Thad Cochran in the first round of the state’s GOP primary: American Crossroads, a GOP establishment organization, has decided to shift its political focus almost entirely to the general election and will not be spending money in the likely runoff election to decide the Mississippi Senate nomination that was virtually deadlocked after Tuesday night. Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
