Bloomberg Writer Attacks Tim Scott
as ‘Affirmative Action’ Token

National Review Online, by Tim Cavanaugh

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 5/9/2014 11:08:31 AM

Senator Tim Scott is a product of Republican reverse racism and low expectations, according to a Bloomberg News editorial board member. In a racially charged screed entitled “Do Republicans Lower the Bar for Blacks?” Francis Wilkinson dismisses South Carolina Republican Scott, the first African-American to represent a southern state since the Republican senators of the Reconstruction era, as a “thing most rare and precious” who offers the GOP “both an absolution for the past and a shield for the present and future.” Wilkinson offers little evidence for his thesis, and at least one claim — that Scott has achieved his

Comments:
A conservative writer would be fired for such outrageous, disgusting comments. Cavanaugh provides videos showing that "black Democrats are held to the most rigorous standards of excellence and skill," with heavy sarcasm of course. Those videos are some of the most memorable from those brain trusts, Hank Johnson and his Guam tip over one of the best examples.

Keep it up, Bloombergboy

Scott ran for the US House of Representatives in 2010. There were nine candidates. Scott won the primary with 32% of the vote. That left Scott to run against the man who came in second with 16% of the vote: Paul Thurmond, son of the late Senator Strom Thurmond, not known for his liberal politics.

Scott won against Thurmond 68-32%. What does that tell you? It tells you our right-wing district liked the black conservative more than the white supremacist´s son.

Scott then ran against Democrat Ben Frasier (black), a perennial candidate for office and won 65–29%. You might say our district is safely Republican.

When Jim DeMint left his Senate seat to head up the Heritage Foundation, our Republican governor (Nikki Haley) appointed Tim as our Senator. Mark Sanford won the special election for Tim´s former seat. We´re very comfortable with our choices and have quite high expectations for both.

I would have thought that by now Clyburn´s constituents would have noticed his failings. I´m pretty sure they´ve heard lots of good things about Tim Scott.

If U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry ever needs a new job, he could find himself at home in Afghanistan. After a recent diplomatic visit to the country, Kerry was hailed as a hero and a great politician, so much so, that some Afghans wished he would run for president. “John Kerry is the greatest American and the best friend of Afghanistan. He helped prevent this country from going to civil war two times,” 29-year-old Kabul shopkeeper Maqsood Parwani told NBC news. “I wish if we could elect him as our president, but we cannot so hope the American people elect him

The number of foreigners who successfully filed asylum claims in the United States almost tripled from 2012 to 2013, up to 30,393. That’s 10 times the number from 2008, when President Barack Obama was elected, and it is evidence his immigration officials are agreeing that many people in the growing wave of Central American migrants face a “credible fear” of harm if they are returned. Official approval allows the migrants to file for asylum in immigration court, where judges will approve or reject the asylum request. If you came illegally to the U.S. seeking asylum in 2013, you had better than a

It’s not you Al, it’s your party. Stuart Rothenberg, editor and publisher of the nonpartisan Rothenberg Political Report, changed his rating on Sen. Al Franken’s race for re-election in Minnesota to reflect a slightly more competitive environment for the Democrat. But Mr. Rothenberg, an experienced handicapper, was quick to note that his ratings change – from “safe Democrat” to “Democrat favored” – has everything to do with headwinds confronting the party and very little to do with Mr. Franken’s Republican opponent, businessman Mike McFadden.
