RINO Alert: Mitt Romney
Endorses Minimum Wage Hike

Townhall, by Heather Ginsberg

Original Article

In typical RINO fashion, Mitt Romney has made a new statement that basically defies everything he stood for as the Republican presidential candidate in 2012. In an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe this morning, Mitt Romney said that Republicans should drop their opposition to a minimum wage hike. “I think we oughta raise it,” Romney said. “Because frankly, our party is all about more jobs and better pay and I think communicating that is important to us.” Excuse me? What was that? He continued saying, “For all the Republicans who come on and talk about, ‘we’re for the blue-collar worker, we’re for the

This is the guy who would have brilliantly handled our economy? Considering his background and the impact this would have on businesses, it is shocking to say the least.

Mitt is almost correct. We just need to raise the minimum wage to $100 per hour and wipe out poverty in a single stroke. I just don´t know why we didn´t do it years ago.

Since the Chamber of Commerce is pro "amnesty" and against a minimum wage hike I propose the conservatives "reach across the isle" and embrace a "living wage".

Not content with running a weak, unfocused campaign in 2012, the father of ObamaCare and the governor who gave us EPA´s radical head, Gina McCarthy, Mitt is now going to embarrass the GOP by calling for a job killing increase in the minimum wage. His answer should have focused on how Obama´s policies have hurt the demand for labor and with ObamaCare, have forced employers to weigh paying you more or paying for your higher health care costs.

Isn´t there a RINO rest home for people like Romney, McCain, McConnell and the Bush family??

...HEY MITT...democrats want to raise minimum wage because it is NOT good for america and because it is good for democrats:

1. welfare now pays more than a 40hr work week earning the minimum wage...that fact matters before the elections...but after the 33million illegal alien leeches are given amnesty it won´t matter because they "will work the minimum wage jobs americans won´t work" at HALF the minimum wage amount...and the fired minimum wage americans will be out on a job...on unemployment or welfare...what democrats want...more dependent voters.

2. and the democrats dirty little secret...every time democrats increase minimum wage...unions get a pay increase...making democrat union voters happy.

...RINOS...WORKING FOR DEMOCRATS NOT AMERICA!

So to review: the man who inherited millions, used his money and connections to build an equity capital network whose stock and trade was driving the price of companies down prior to acquisition, pounding labor costs into the ground and moving the jobs across borders, overseas, unless of course those jobs could be filled by workers maybe/maybe not here legally, now thinks minimum wage should be hiked. What an excellent champion of free markets! A true champion for the common man!
What a magnificent president he would have been!

The Great Plainsman will soon tell us, much to the delight and applause of the admiring women of the GOP. why we´re all morons and that this is, in fact, the greatest thought on the matter since anything Jeb said lately and that if we would all get on board rather than being single issue voters (well, one issue at a time even if there are actually multiple issues at stake) then we would have had a conservative dream President instead of Obama. Recalcitrant voters who couldn´t see past the end of their noses and who didn´t vote (of course that means any conservative who dare criticizes the GOPe as they are presumed not to have voted) is the cause of the disaster in the White House today.

He didn´t endorse the current Dem minimum wage law - he just said that there should be some minimum wage - probably because that´s what most voters seem to want. (I would rather such laws be mostly at the state and local level)

Looking at the history of the laws maybe 1/3 of the MW laws increases occurred when Congress or the WH was in GOP hands. Of course these republicans were all RINOS - even back in the 1950s.

Like Social Security and Medicare - also hated by all true-conservatives - these laws are not going to be abolished and are sometimes viewed as the third rail of politics.

FTA- " Romney did make sure to clarify that he does not support the legislation
that is being pushed by Obama and Senate Democrats because it goes “too far and too fast.”

"Tim Pawlenty and Rick Santorum have even come out in the last two weeks in support of some sort of minimum wage increase."

Romney´s opinion isn´t going to change the fact that the federal minimum wage will not be increased
during this legislative session .
Senate Republicans last month blocked cloture on the Democrat´s minimum wage bill.
And Boehner is not going to bring it up.
Individual states can raise their minimum wage if they chose to.

WASHINGTON – Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson expressed confidence that the federal government can successfully deal with the surge of unaccompanied children crossing the southern border but it likely will cost billions of dollars to deal with the ongoing crisis. In testifying before the Senate Appropriations Committee, Johnson urged lawmakers to adopt the $3.7 billion plan proposed by President Obama, warning that revenues are running low in the Department of Homeland Security because of outlays already used to address the situation. Without the supplemental funding, Johnson told lawmakers, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will run out of money sometime in

Here´s how Politico describes what occurred during a private meeting between Obama and pro-amnesty activists last month: President Barack Obama listened to immigration activists run through a long wish list of executive actions – then added a request of
