Why I Filmed My Abortion
Cosmopolitan, by Heather Wood Rudulph

Original Article

Posted By:jackson, 5/9/2014 8:00:40 AM

When Emily Letts got pregnant, she knew she would get an abortion. Then she decided to film it. Letts, 25, is an abortion counselor at Cherry Hill Women’s Center in New Jersey, which is where she had her abortion. The non-graphic video focuses on her face and shows her breathing and humming through the procedure. The doctor on the other side of the sheet is out of view. When she entered the Abortion Care Network’s Stigma Busting video competition and won, the video went viral. Here, she explains why she decided to share her experience so publicly

Comments:
A doctor, a mother, conspire to slaughter her child. Sick. Sinful. Hey, a better idea1! Let´s film it to teach others. Satanic.

There is nothing amusing, uplifting or "Stigma Busting" about smiling while you are taking part in murdering an innocent child. Emily Letts is a vile disgusting excuse for a human being.

FTA: The guy wasn’t involved in my decision.

But of course, he has no say in deciding if his child lives or dies but if you had decided to be a single-mom I´m sure he´d be involved, financially that is.

Why, you ask?

Because you´re such an empty hole that the only way you figured you can fill it without having to do the serious work it takes to transcend the muck you wallow in is to create shock in others. You´re turned on by the idea that everyone is horrified by your act. You´re an attention seeker who is willing to sell your soul at the cost of another just so you can get your name in the paper. Enjoy your 15 seconds of fame. Its going to be an eternity before you get over the aftermath.

As the Anchoress has pointed out, ignore her words and concentrate on her face and the film tells a different story. One month after the abortion her eyes have a haunted look, her voice monotone, her countenance woebegone. There is obviously a tremendous amount of ambivalence about what she has done. Behind the PC styled rhetoric, which makes almost no sense at all, there is a mother in mourning.

"My heart breaks for this young woman and her baby who are so clearly victims of a pervasive rhetoric full of untruths and the banality of real evil. She needs our prayers and our whole-hearted spiritual assistance. Evidenced before us is a mind seduced and under the power of nefarious propaganda that has told her to serve her own desires unto death — one that has encouraged her to soul-shredding idolatry while its promulgators serve only death and political campaign coffers. It is a mind owned by insipid platitudes, now at war with a heart that says, “bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh, my baby, my heart, myself.”

Pray for Emily and for us.

My dear Emily, the reason why you filmed your abortion is because you have not the mental capability of forethought, only how it is going to make you feel important now.

In the future, when you are shunned and people whisper behind your back, you will realize how foolish this act was. It goes well beyond religion. Those whispers will come from people who will only know you as " the creepy chick who filmed her abortion".

What sane person is going to want to be in a relationship with you. Your own words condemn you as some selfish attention seeking radical with no care for what the other person who helped get you pregnant thinks.

Also imagine how awkward it is going to be when, if it is apparently convenient to you, you have a child and that child asks you to explain; "Why did you do this mommy?. Why didn´t you do it to me mommy? Why did you film it? Would I have a sister or brother now if you didn´t do it mommy? Does this me you can abort me now too?

#4 said it best. Enjoy your 15 minutes now Emily. They rest of your life is going to be defined by this idiotic act, and maybe beyond.

This is a very, very sick person. To think that she is allowed to "counsel" women on anything, let alone such a life-altering decision as an unplanned pregnancy, shows much about the lack of judgment of her employment.

I don´t have to have had an abortion to be able to say that having an abortion is NOTHING like giving birth. Giving birth is about bringing new life into the world. It is about all the potential that a tiny being holds within itself. An abortion is a selfish act that means nothing more than ending a pregnancy.

The fact that she treasures her sonogram is disturbing. She can look at the sonogram and see a human being whose life she then terminates. How can she claim to have any humanity at all.

I certainly hope she seeks help, sooner rather than later.

How about we videotape Heather being beaten to death?

Not that I advocate that, but should she find herself at the hands of thugs beating her, and they sickly videotape it, would her family enjoy and post that video as well?

Why not? Why not take the stigma out of death? The thugs would just be "expressing themselves". The fact that Heather did not want to die is not an issue....she´s just a blob of tissue.

Less than 3 percent of the U.S. population identify themselves as gay, lesbian or bisexual, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday in the first large-scale government survey measuring Americans’ sexual orientation. The National Health Interview Survey, which is the government’s premier tool for annually assessing Americans’ health and behaviors, found that 1.6 percent of adults self-identify as gay or lesbian, and 0.7 percent consider themselves bisexual. The overwhelming majority of adults, 96.6 percent, labeled themselves as straight in the 2013 survey. An additional 1.1 percent declined to answer, responded “I don’t know the answer” or said they

News is surprise. The news out of Hillary Clinton´s book tour is that it hasn´t gone well. It was supposed to establish her iconic position in American political life while solidifying her inevitability. Instead it exposed vulnerabilities. The media was neither at her feet nor at her throat but largely distanced, which was interesting. Her claim that the Clintons were "dead broke" when they left the White House inspired widespread derision. Her exchanges on Benghazi didn´t bury the issue but kept it alive. The scripted answers were tiring. The old trick of answering the question you wish you´d been asked instead

The Veterans Administration scandal involves charges of manipulation and falsification of medical waiting lists and systemwide rigging to hide delayed or inadequate treatment, which may have caused the deaths of some of those waiting for care. Exit added "suicide due to old age" to their statutes at an annual general meeting held over the weekend, allowing people suffering from psychological or physical problems associated with old age the choice to end their life. Assisted dying is legal in Switzerland and technically even a healthy young person could use such services. In “The Case for Reparations,” the long-brewing cover story of the June issue of the Atlantic, Ta-Nehisi Coates makes a painstaking argument that the gap in wealth, achievement, and a wide range of health and wellbeing outcomes between black and white Americans is the result of deliberate policy decisions. Those decisions, he says, lead to an inevitable conclusion: “An America that asks what it owes its most vulnerable citizens is improved and humane. An America that looks away is ignoring not just the sins of the past but the sins of the present and the certain sins of the future,”
