GOP groups spend three

fellow Republicans as Democrats

Weekly Standard, by Mark Hemingway

Original Article

Earlier this week, I reported on the absurdity of the open GOP Senate primary in Nebraska. Currently, outside groups affiliated with prominent Republican leaders are flooding the state with dishonest attack ads on the leading Republican candidate in the race, apparently motivated by petty intraparty rivalries. And now the Washington Post and the Center for Public Integrity have tallied up some pretty damning statistics on how this GOP feuding is damaging the party: According to a great new study from the Center for Public Integrity´s Dave Levinthal, conservative super PACs and other outside groups this year have spent nearly

Cut the top off the Republican Party (ya sure John Chaffee is dead?), and replace it with whoever writes the Geico ads. There, we win.

Low information voters don´t understand who votes with them. That is why we lost in 2012 and also why 2016 is looking shaky.

The answer is - -

- - that the RINOs deserve to be "attacked" because they have betrayed their voters.

And I love the use of the word "attack" - - as if any criticism of a RINO is some sort of outrage. By all means then - - let´s keep "attacking."

The Republican Establishment could end all this by working shrink the size and scope of government by they would rather destroy the party rather then do what is right for not only the party, but America as well.

No longer do you get my vote for free. You must earn it. The idiodic excuse that if I dont vote, I am helping elect a democrat has no longer cuts the mustard.

Its on the head of the Republican Establishment if they decide to leave me no reason to vote for its candidate.

Once again, you want my vote, earn it.

The democratic party infiltration of the republican party with the rino fraud needs to end. And we need to copy the democrats and start running conservatives as democrats. Labels don´t matter to democrats, its the vote when they get to Congress.

Sorry, but this is a meaningless breakdown of spending. The battle is clearly no longer delineated along party lines and cannot be understood when analyzed that way. It can be understood only when viewed ideologically. There is no difference between conservative money spent attacking a democrat, and conservative money spent attacking a republican who supports amnesty, gay marriage, and a continuation of Obamacare.

#9´s plan is the one we went with for many years, and its how we ended up with this progressive republican party that is no different than the dems. They knew we would dutifully vote for them no matter what bag of dirt they ran. All they had to do was put an R after his name and 40% of the electorate was locked in.
Notice that 40% is down to 25% and still dropping. Apparently others are getting tired of it too.

I am hearing the new attack phrase on ads lately demonizing "special interests" that have donated to the particular candidate under fire. Well, anyone who donates money to a campaign is a special interest. I despise the GOP elitists. Rove, Boehner, McConnell, all of them that are all about their own personal power and getting their hand picked candidates elected that will do their will and not the will of the people. Time to suit up show up and fight to regain the roots of our party in the conservative name of Ronald Reagan.

#13 right. The first double cross was when VP Bush made us think he was proud of and would continue Ronald Reagan´s successful policies when we happily voted for him. Instead, the blue blood Eastern Republican club had THEIR man in and Bush began undoing the conservative revolution. The Republican Party today is Democrat lite (and depending on which Congresscritter you are talking about, no so lite really) and they have no intention of ever letting a Reagan-type conservative rise to power. It´s going to be a fight, a bloody fight all the way.

The GOP was not divided until Boehner was elected speaker. The sad part is the TP got him elected then he turned on the conservative base and went liberal. I refuse to support the party as long as Boehner is speaker. Boehner, Ryan, Cantor & McConnell are poor examples of the party.

Thad Cochran’s political resurrection began with a campaign shakeup and ended with a Hail Mary television ad. Just three weeks ago, in the dead of night on June 3, the Mississippi senator’s staff sat shaken and dejected, crestfallen at the results of a primary that deprived the six-term incumbent of an electoral majority. With Cochran forced into a runoff fight against an aggressive and energetic challenger, a dark mood shadowed his backers in Washington and Mississippi.Yet almost immediately, the Cochran coalition began bouncing back. Even on that gloomy night of June 3, Cochran adviser Stuart Stevens was insisting to staffers: “We’re

There are plenty of circumstances in which that pithy imperative —variously attributed to Disraeli, Queen VIctoria, and sundry other worthies — wins my admiration. “Never apologize, never explain”: I like the blunt, no-nonsense aroma it exudes, the hinted-at announcement that there will be no wallowing in unproductive self-recriminations or manufactured displays of contrition. There is a reason, I think, that the motto seems traceable to Victorian times: an era when manly forthrightness still had a prominent place in the economy of public life. But context is everything.
