Harry Reid Sinks Deeper Into the Abyss
Power Line, by John Hinderaker

Harry Reid’s obsession with the Koch brothers has made him a figure of fun, but frankly, it has gotten past the point where anyone is laughing. After Reid’s foray onto the Senate floor today, his family, friends and colleagues should be concerned about his mental health. This clip is only 30 seconds long, but it speaks volumes about Reid’s state of mind:(Snip for video)“Pollution” isn’t causing global warming, the Koch brothers are not the “two richest people in the world,” and the idea that the brothers are somehow one of the “main causes” of climate change is delusional, even if

This is bordering on a creepy obsession by reid. I think a friendly visit with a therapist might be in order. Why is soros acceptable but the Koch brothers are pariahs?

#1 and #2, may I add a re-creation of the scene in "One Flew Over The Cuckoo´s Nest" where the orderlies put the goop on the sides of Jack Nicholson´s skull before electroshock: "A little dab´ll do ya!"

Might not work on ol´ Harry; you have to have a brain in order to have something to shock.

I am nots sure if I buy that he is nuts. He is an opportunist, trying to drive enviro voter turnout in November.

He does seem a bit off, though. What does that say about the Dems in the Senate? They keep voting Reid as their leader? If there were an honest media, the media would remind America of the absolute repulsiveness that has made up the Dem side of the Senate for the last 20 years. Ted Kennedy, Reid, Sheets Byrd, Big Wampum Liar Elizabeth Warren, Gold Digger John Kerry, and on and on. Reprobates, all.

Reid knows exactly what he´s doing. He´s an unprincipled skunk appealing to an electorate of dunces. This gambit worked against Romney, and could help the Dems in the mid-terms if their overall party brand is not completely beyond salvage by November. And don´t forget the power of the MSM to persuade the herd of almost anything.

I feel more cynical than usual this morning...

Reid´s statements may sound insane to us, but they sound perfectly reasonable to any democrat. Liberalism is a mental disorder and no one affirms that like Dingy Harry. The lies he spouts on a daily basis any Republican would be forced to apologize for or resign. Democrats are afforded a special dispensation from the media and suffer no consequences. Harry Reid is one nasty wackadoodle.

When Obama´s handlers choreographed his joke about being between two potted plants at the recent Correspondents Dinner, they should have arranged for Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi to walk up and stand on either side of pResident Zero.

In Zippy´s game of reducing "his" administration to the least common denominator, those two are somewhere between potted plants and post turtles.

If I were one of the Koch brothers I´d have fun with it. I´d film myself as some sort of well-heeled ´storm chaser´ with all sorts of fancy - but fake - scientific instruments poking out of my chase vehicle. I´d ´admit´ that ´my corporate sponsors´ have ´demanded´ I do something about ´changing the weather´ for ´profits.´

Just film something that could pass as a deleted scene from the 1996 Helen Hunt / Bill Paxton movie Twister - complete with SFX. Play up the ´bad meteorologist´ Cary Elwes part.

It would be awesome to see Harry Reid wig out on the Senate floor and collapse from a sudden seizure or stroke from believing a fantasy.

Two can play this game, Harry...

#15 I don´t think #6 was referring to Reid being up for re-election in Nevada. I think #6 was referring to his losing his position as Majority Leader in the Senate due to Republicans becoming the majority after the 2014 election.

Even if a RINO is the Republican candidate and is not exactly what we conservatives would have preferred, we must get behind said Republican in each state to get the Dems out of the power they hold in the Senate. Heck, even RINOs want to defeat Barry and his boys. The same goes for RINOs - if a TEA Party candidate ousts a Republican, get behind that candidate - it´s in your best interest, and we are pretty sure that´s what you really are interested in afterall.

Now his mind --sick to begin with, has been eaten away --probably by some STD [he is from Nevada, after all] and he´s doubled down on his nastiness.

Of course Reid, as viciously partisan a pol as ever existed, is trying to arouse the Left base. That´s what he does. However, much of what he´s saying in the Senate well is so kooky, so far removed from reality, so self-evidently false, that he appears to be suffering from some form of virulent mental illness. For his own good he needs an immediate checkup from the neck up, pending his removal from the Senate for his regular displays of dementia. The man has left his groceries at the market, pal. He´s completely baked.

Hollywood casting call for: "Delusional, demented, old miserly billionaire crook who has stolen billions".
That´s Harry the Crook!

If SNL, Jimmy Fallon, all network socialist "permitted" comedians impersonators, had any guts at all, Harry Reid would be the perfect ugly fool to imitate.

But, NO, there are no Rich Littles, Jonathan Winters any more. The guy that imitated Obama, is dead. We don´t even have a Don Rickles to make fun of these evil devils

Reid is so bad, that even every bad impersonator does not do him first. But the Communist Demos have such a paralyzing grip on ALL of the entertainment industry,

The reluctance of Hamas’s “military wing”—a misnomer for the more extreme elements of its extremist leadership—to accept the cease-fire designed by Egypt is, well, logical. Let’s admit it. They do not wish to accept defeat, and the Egyptian terms are a defeat for Hamas. By attacking Israel, what has Hamas wrought? Considerable damage was done to Gaza by Israeli air power, and Gazans will be picking up the pieces for months if not longer. But Hamas proved unable to kill one single Israeli with its hundreds of rockets, and all its special tricks—tunnels, longer-range rockets, a drone—also failed. Nor could

House Republicans are moving quickly to address the growing humanitarian crisis on the southern border, possibly holding votes as soon as next week. As Congress moves closer to the monthlong August recess, the speedy action sends a clear message to Senate Democrats: Take it or leave it. Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), incoming Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and a group of top lawmakers working on the border crisis are set to file a bill that very closely mirrors the legislation crafted by Texas lawmakers Sen. John Cornyn, a Republican, and Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar.

Two of the larger social trends of our time — the growth of payday gambling and the legalization of marijuana — have two things in common: They are justified as the expansion of personal liberty, and they serve the interests of an expanding government. The ideological alliance behind these changes is among the strangest in U.S. politics. Libertarians seek to lift governmental restraints on consensual acts. State governments seek sources of revenue without the political inconvenience of requesting broad tax increases. Both find common ground in encouraging and exploiting the weaknesses and addictions of citizens. (And business interests and their lobbyists,

Fleeing violence and poverty, record numbers of children from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala have crossed into the United States over the past year, sparking intense debate about how to solve the problem. Monday´s flight from New Mexico to San Pedro Sula, the city with the highest murder rate in the world, returned 17 Honduran women, as well as 12 girls and nine boys, aged

The Obama administration quietly announced on Tuesday that it intends to change the way Americans learn about natural disasters and other major emergencies during radio and TV broadcasts, giving the president the ability to flip a switch and address the entire nation at once. The Emergency Alert System, the latest version of a program first established in 1951, blasts out emergency messages in the event of local weather emergencies, but can also be used to warn Americans about terror attacks and major natural disasters. [Snip] It can take up to 10 minutes for every radio, TV, cable and satellite provider to

In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. School Shootings: Widely Reported Tragedies Since 2000 - Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. The numbers are stark: According to the FBI's 2012 Crime in the US data, nearly 70 percent of homicides for which the FBI received weapons data involved the use

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
