How I was left suicidal, turned down
$10million in offers and was made a
scapegoat to save Bill Clinton´s
career, by Monica Lewinsky

Daily Mail [UK], by Meghan Keneally

Original Article

Monica Lewinsky has broken her silence on her infamous presidential affair to reveal that she turned down offers that would´ve amounted to $10million because she ´didn´t feel like the right thing to do´. Lewinsky, now 40, has penned a tell-all essay for Vanity Fair and snippets from the article shows how now- on the eve of another likely Clinton presidential campaign- was the right time to come forward. ´It’s time to burn the beret and bury the blue dress,´ she said, poking fun at the infamous ´90s attire that she is so closely associated with. ´Sure, my boss took advantage

Comments:
I can´t even imagine as a girl that age the horrors of being caught up in the Clinton political machine. It would be difficult to recover from that. The full article will not be available from Vanity Fair until May 13 and requires a subscription.

Oh shut up. You spread your legs for the excitement and the fun, you had your 15 minutes of fame. Unlike real victims of Bill Clinton, you made a choice for which you jumped into a sexual relationship with great relish and joy.

You weren´t raped, you committed adultery and stained the Office and our country´s reputation. Don´t give me the BS about how you were "young". When I was your age, my ´youth´ had me working 3 jobs, going to UCLA on the quarter system, surviving on 4 hours of sleep a night and fully supporting myself. I was an adult. So were you. Other people that age are breaking their backs to work and survive, not on their backs enjoying themselves.

Now we are supposed to feel sorry for you? Go pound sand, you absolute loser.

Time to remind everyone that the issue was one of a sitting President, sworn to uphold the law and the Constitution, intentionally lying under oath in a duly instituted federal lawsuit.

America is (was?) a nation of laws and no one, not even a sitting President, is exempt for obeying those laws.

Here are some excerpts from the Contempt of Court order issued against Bill Clinton by Judge Susan Weber Wright:

• “The court takes no pleasure whatsoever in holding this nation´s president in contempt of court,´´ Wright said. “(But) there is simply no escaping the fact that the president deliberately violated this court´s discovery orders and thereby undermined the integrity of the judicial system."

• “The record demonstrates by clear and convincing evidence that the president responded to plaintiffs´ questions by giving false, misleading and evasive answers that were designed to obstruct the judicial process.”

• “It is difficult to construe the president´s sworn statement in this civil lawsuit concerning his relationship with Ms. Lewinsky as anything other than a willful refusal to obey this court´s discovery orders”

• “The president´s deposition testimony regarding whether he had ever been alone with Ms. Lewinsky was intentionally false and his statements regarding whether he had ever engaged in sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky likewise were intentionally false, notwithstanding tortured definitions and interpretations of the term sexual relations”

Wright ordered Clinton to pay both Jones´ legal fees caused by his ``willful refusal´´ to obey discovery orders and the court´s expenses in traveling to Washington to hear his Jan. 17, 1998 deposition.

She also said she was referring the case to the Arkansas Supreme Court committee on professional conduct for possible sanctions against Clinton´s license to practice law in the state.

Clinton surrendered his Arkansas law license to avoid being disbarred.

It WAS and still IS disgraceful the way Monica Lewinsky (20 years old at the time) was treated by the "predator in chief" and his "enabler-wife". He is now a "statesman" worth millions and thanks to them and the "msm-press", Ms. Lewinsky is a joke and laughingstock. They have no shame. IMO, anyone with a daughter or granddaughter should understand the obscenity of what was done to a young and naive Intern. While they screech about the Republican´s "war on women" they continue to destroy anyone who gets in their way. Ask Kathleen Willey or Juanita Broderick or even Paula Jones how they feel about this monstrous "couple" from Arkansas. Sickening.

Clinton surrendered his Arkansas law license to avoid being disbarred.

In summary, Clinton´s lies:

* Were much more serious than a sexual affair even though Clinton´s propaganda machine managed to portray it as such

* Were not a private matter between him and his wife

* Had the effect of denying the rights of Paula Jones to have a fair hearing of her sexual abuse charges against Clinton

#1, do you have a daughter? If so, remember what she was like at 20-21? Was she prepared for the consequences of a fling with the President of the United States and in the Oval Office, no less? I doubt it, sir.

Yes, Monica Lewinsky was naive and unsophisticated, but she did not deserve to have her life ruined. And that is what happened.

Oh, and she blames her extreme humiliation and suicidal thoughts on the internet "bullying" by Drudge Report--not her own actions.
I have no sympathy for this low-life.
Yeah, sure, she was only 20, but she would have made the same bad decision to have sex with Clinton if she had been 40.

The fault and responsibility for the aftermath lies with Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky and no one else.

Bill Clinton is a sexual predator who has a history of ruining the lives of many women.

Your attempted deflection from Clinton´s pattern of abusing women is pretty weak.

The REAL War on Women was waged by Bill Clinton.

You folks blaming Ms Lewinsky should travel to DC and see if YOU can get into the WH, much less, the Oval Office. President Clinton
opened the way for her, PERIOD. What happened during those visits appears voluntary on both sides. Hillary blaming the young lady shows how vile she is, in my opinion. Hillary has always put power, control, money, and politics above anything or anyone else ( other than perhaps her daughter ).

And of course, Ms. Lewinsky angled for a thrill. But, she was 20-21 and it was her life that was affected permanently, not his.

I never cease to be amazed at comments such as from #1. Bill Clinton has a long history of ruining women´s lives for his personal pleasure. He raped Juanita Broaderick, and then there was Kathleen Wiley, Paula Jones and Monica Lewinsky, just to name a few. In every case, both Bill and Hillary set out to completely destroy these women with any means possible. If Monica had not saved the famous blue dress, she would have been destroyed as a liar. Bill Clinton committed adultery in our Oval Office; he brought shame and disrespect to the presidency; he lied repeatedly, and he has never been held accountable for his disgusting behavior. Both Bill Clinton and Hillary are disgusting in their appalling and greedy pursuit of power; they will destroy anyone who gets in their way.

She asked --ASKED for it. Doesn´t anyone get that?

She went after Clinton. He didn´t have to assault her. She went looking for her time with him and the cigar. She was not a victim.

What´s so hard to understand?

And for the love of mike, don´t take this as a defense of Clinton. He´s every bed thing that has ever been said about him --and worse, but Monica Lewinsly did this to herself. She absolutely asked for it.

Clinton´s history of abuse toward women is even longer than most people realize. Please let´s not forget that Bill Clinton was expelled from Oxford AND Great Britain for the sexual assault of Eileen Wellstone several years before he even met Hillary. It must also be remembered that Hillary knowingly married a pervert, and proceeded to actively participate in further abusing his victims by lying for him. For me that is reason enough that she should NEVER be POTUS.

PS: I believe Lewinsky is somehow being compensated for this action by the Clinton-friendly Vanity Fair in order that this will once again be "old news" when the 2016 election cycle truly begins.

Monica still views the relationship as an equal one, "between consenting adults." In other words, she is still covering for Bill and blaming her problems on the Drudge Report and other media. It is true she was a victim--a victim of Bill Clinton. He wasn´t just an older man. He was President of the United States! How much more unbalanced can a relationship be? She bears some blame, but he is the real cause of her problems, not Matt Drudge.

With the nightmare we have in office right now and the very real threat that Hill will be POTUS and her husband back in the WH is way more serious than some overweight celebstalker money grubber.

Besides that there are 100s of teenage girls and young female adults who spread their legs every year for a chance on Capital Hill, Congress & the WH. ML was just among thousands.

She has probably run out of money and that is why she is now using the Clintons´ coatails to revive her tabloid career and get back on the radio/TV talk show circuit.

DC is a hornets nest and to climb as quickly as she did with minimal brains and a tonnage of connections through her family and others...she was neither naive nor an idiot.

She is suicidal because she is no longer front page news...oh, wait...now she is. front page news. Contact her agent.

She said she was wrong to do what she did but I wonder what she means. Besides the adultery, what she did was participate in sexual harassment - that´s what it is when you are promoted over others for putting out for the boss.

She´s had time to think about this for years and still blames Drudge. If she hadn´t saved the blue dress and if Tripp hadn´t taped her I wonder if she realizes how bad it could have been. She would have had to commit perjury or suffer the consequences. I bet Tripp is happy to have survived.

I know I and millions of other young people volunteered to serve our country during war time, but no one excused us because of our youth. But we risked our lives for little monetary reward, and didn´t get any financial rewards later on for it. In other words, youth is no excuse once one reaches 18. Stupidity, yes, but not an excuse.

Don´t you see? This is Team Hillary inoculating itself against future Monica eruptions. So if someone tries to bring it up during the primaries, Hillary can say "She said she was sorry -- poor Bill -- what difference doesn´t it make now? -- can we just move on? Let´s not make this a war against women."

#16, I never am "ceased to be amazed" at the lack of basic reading comprehension from people like you.

There was nothing in my screed that let Clinton off the hook. Not one thing. She was an adult that made a decision and enjoyed it. If she had not been caught, I think its safe to assume there would be no regrets.

Clinton´s history of abusing women doesn´t change my critique of Monica. If I involve myself willing with a prostitute, notorious for carrying disease, and I get sick, that is MY fault. And if people find out about it and give me hardship, that is MY fault. Doesn´t let the prostitute off the hook, but the fact is I did it, I am to blame.

Stop being an apologist for her behavior. Her willingness to commit adultery and stain the Office of the President is an act that has nothing to do with what Clinton did with other women.

Great minds think alike...I posted yesterday that this ´unpleasant´ resurfacing of Monica Lewinsky is being facilitated by Hillary sympathizers who want it off the table. Lynne Cheney agrees.

As for Monica, if she´s trying to ´reclaim´ herself she took her time about it.

The fact is that her credibility is nearly as weak as the Clintons´ due to the fact that she didn´t stand her ground at the time and become their worst nightmare (along with NOW and any other ´I believe Anita Hill´ idiots). First and foremost it would have derailed Hillary as Senator and anything else thereafter and might have even prevented an Obama presidency.

#4 and #5 are both right. While there is no excuse for the abuse heaped upon Monica, there is also no excuse for Monica who knew what she was doing, had free will NOT to do it, and who expected no consequences.

She had sex with a married man who also was the POTUS. It was a rush and she loved it. Now she´s whining about the consequences.

An interviewer a long, long time ago asked Monica if she lied about not having sex with Bubba. She said, "Sure, everybody lies. I was brought up to lie." Sorry, with that sort of amorality, my sympathies are better put to use with someone like Juanita Broadrick and others who were sexually abused and possibly raped by the predator in the White House.

So while it is true that the Clinton and their bimbo-eruption squad are moral cretins and vicious, unfeeling liars, no one escapes blame.

Let´s not paint Monica as a naif who just got in over her head (cough), and let´s not try painting the Clintons any blacker than they already are because it cannot be done.

Inside the souls of the Clintons are holes where honor should be. Inside Monica is the soul of someone who followed her free will and now says she is sorry. We shall see how sorry she is when she runs for office and wins, when she writes her book and does expensive speaking engagements in the cynical mode of wanting to help other young women to avoid her pitfalls.

For a woman who says she was brought up to lie, I still wouldn´t trust her around my dog, although I do feel sorry for her because her surname has become a verb.

I like to look at tangent issues that seem unrelated. Wasn´t it just a couple of weeks ago that Rand Paul, who is likely running for President - likely against Hillary, brought up the issue of trust and integrity as it relates to Hillary and how she handled the Monica situation?

Doesn´t that make anyone else go, hmmmmm..... ?

He did that, and the Clinton Attack Squad saw an opportunity to get this - Monica - out there and disposed of well ahead of 2016. By the end of summer that whole era in the 90´s will be - you got it! - ´´old news´´.

What is really sad is that Monica really and truly thought she ´´was all that´´ when at best, she was only an easy Target of Opportunity for the Horndog. In her heart of hearts she still thinks it was about her.

I´m with #37. But it goes much deeper to show Hillary´s m.o. At the time, Hillary put it out there that Bill was ´´mentoring´´ poor, confused Monica. Monica was too young to use the nuts and sluts defense of Carville fame. Given any situation of a problematic political nature, the first thing out of her mouth is a lie. From Juanita Broaderick to Benghazi, cattle futures to campaign trail, she has always asked the American public for a ´´suspension of disbelief´´.

If she had come to me for advice I would have told her to ditch Monica for a pert "Nickie" or even "Mona" and legally shorten Lewinsky to Lewis. Then new acquaintances could judge her on who she is now instead of what they read years ago.

I feel very sorry for Monica. She clearly had "daddy issues," as evidenced by the fact that she apparently had multiple affairs with older men who were authority figures. She clearly had self-esteem problems, or she wouldn´t have been using her body exclusively to get attention from men. She was way too trusting, not only of the men who were using her, but of Linda Tripp, who betrayed her trust. She truly is a pathetic figure in all this. I have always been very surprised that she didn´t change her appearance, change her name, and try to start over again.

It´s the same situation now with zippy the liar...and his xerox copy of a computer-generated birth certificate, Benghazi, IRS, Fast & Furious, etc...(all myths made up by racists)

As poster #3 points out, this entire episode was more than just about sex. It was abuse of power by an older much more powerful man over a young woman. A woman who thought she was more in control and sophisticated than she really was. This was also about how Hillary! found her defense cry of vast right wing conspiracy and we are still hearing it how many years later? This was also about how it empowered Hillary! much to this nation´s regret if she is elected in 2016. And lastly, this was also about how ignoranct this country´s voters have become by re-electing a disgraced man who is now considered an elder statesman.

For whatever reasons most affairs are consensual, but the real fault in this one lies with both of the Clintons. Bill for being an unchained sex addict, raping and seducing young women without too much flack and Hillary for covering each incident up and therefore paving the way for the next one.

Monica Lewinski was just the next victim in line and being young and easily impressed and not the most attractive girl at the prom, she was easily impressed by the attention the Horn Dog gave her.

His actions in this matter and previous ones are and were reprehensible. From the day she seemed interested in him, her days were numbered. This was one affair that Hillary couldn´t clean up or hide and Drudge was right to report the details.

Anyway, that is my take on what happened.

Monica was a victim of classic sexual harassment. But she joined with her harasser to commit crimes to defeat another sexual harassment lawsuit(Paula Jones vs Clinton).

Monica asked Tripp (supposedly on behalf of Clinton) to commit perjury, .
Monica could have gone to jail for that request. She is lucky she did not.

Tripp was lucky she had made the recordings and got the other evidence(the dress). If Tripp had refused to give perjured testimony in the Paula Jones case as Monica requested and had testified truthfully to what she had heard from Monica, Clinton and Monica would have denied it, the news media would have believed them, and the Clinton administration would have surely found a way to charge Tripp with a crime and send her to jail.
They found many ways to punish her anyway.

Disgustingly, Monica is portrayed by the media as a sympathetic victim while Tripp is portrayed to be a villain. Truth is, Tripp is a hero for pushing back against the corrupt Clinton machine. She kept herself and Monica out of jail. Monica should thank her every day.

My crystal ball is murky but I really doubt we´ll see PIAPS dipping her enormous toe into political waters in the future. First, none of us age well but her wrinkles have wrinkles. Second, when she was in Egypt thousands of protestors just started chanting Monica, Monica. Third, she accomplished nothing as SOS. Fourth, she is yesterdays news. they didn´t get it then and they apparently don´t get it now -
and all the malarkey about what a terrible person Linda Tripp was to be recording conversations with Monica - that SHE was not a good friend to Monica - but what kind of friend was Monica, urging Linda to commit perjury?

On Wednesday, the three anchors taped a pilot dubbed "The 10 o’clock Show,” based out of New York, network sources said. It´s not clear whether it would be a potential primetime 10 p.m. show.
