Obama Biographer: ´The World

Weekly Standard, by Daniel Halper

David Remnick, an Obama biographer and the editor of the New Yorker, said this morning on national TV that President Obama is disappointed in the world: "The profile [of President Obama] that I published in the New Yorker was somebody that eerily, eerily seemed to be claiming himself--it was a sense of not giving up, but of deep frustration--that was the profile that I published in the New Yorker. Somebody frustrated and disappointed," said Remnick, who has proven to be deeply sympathetic to this president. "And that´s what´s frustrating to me sometimes about Obama is that the world seems to disappoint

Classic narcissist with a Savior Complex.

Maybe more teleprompter speeches, faux-Greek columns, global vacays aboard AF1 will make people give him the adoration he deserves.

After all, he is a Nobel Laureate, doncha know?

That is what happens when all of the utopian ideas you were raised with get put into effect and don´t work. Unfortunately, he´s learning that socialism doesn´t work. Other countries don´t play nice in the sandbox when they perceive you as a wuss.

Most kids learn this when they get their first paycheck and realize how much is taken out in taxes. He´s learning it as POTUS which is very dangerous for the rest of us.

Depression and desperation will set in, causing him to be even more reckless and dangerous.

What I find most troubling is how many believe that this administration has "done so much". Where are these positive achievements? The economy? Better health care? Does anybody feel safer, and more secure, today than 8 years ago?

Rather than be disappointed, a reasonable person would change their world view, based on the evidence that contradicts their presuppositions. Insane people, however, are confident everything/one else is wrong. See Dr. Sowell´s Vision of the Anointed

That reminds me of a conversation with my liberal, church-going school-teacher sister back in the days of Clinton and the blue dress. She responded to my criticism of Clinton with “Oh, but he’s done so much GOOD!"

It´s time for every person on the world to sign the apology letter that will make Emperor Obama X feel better about us. Valerie Jarrett has composed the letter in which we all promise to put aside our petty differences, self interests and racist behavior so that we can live up to Obama´s expectations. ValJar expects everyone in the world to sign the letter before Memorial Day so that Obama can play golf all weekend without a heavy heart. Unlike ObamaCare, there will be no extensions, waivers or exemptions. She has everyone´s address and the TSA has bought enough ammunition...

Obama is a psychopath and David Remnick is too much of a socialist to recognize the symptoms.

To be disappointed in the world, i.e. all that actually exists, is to be outside or above the world, e.g. a god.

Either that, or a pathological narcissist with delusions of grandeur.

Let us always remember, however, that Obama, for all his faults, failings and psychopathology, did not elect himself. He was the people´s choice - twice. He is STILL the choice of many.

This means we are kidding ourselves and indulging in a false sense of security when we merely direct our venom and our ire to the individual calling himself Barack Obama, however richly he merits such wrath.

The far more serious problem is a citizenry capable of electing and continuing to support someone like him. The world is full of Barack Obamas, i.e. narcissistic personality disorders, snake oil salesmen, smooth-talkers, hustlers and con men, those who make a living and rise to power by manipulating and deceiving others. Such types are a dime a dozen.

That Americans would actually entrust someone like Barack Obama with their presidency says far more about them than it does about Obama.

Hillary Clinton appeared Tuesday on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to promote her book, "Hard Choices." Stewart briefly discussed the 656-page tome about Clinton´s tenure as secretary of state and then asked exactly what everyone is wondering. "No one cares," about the book, he said. "They just want to know if you´re running for president." Stewart, like so many, tried to get the answer -- even telling Clinton that it sounded like she had just declared that she was running. Like so many others Stewart couldn´t confirm anything, but he gets points for asking the most creative questions.

Hillary Clinton´s contract for a 2013 speech at the University of Buffalo — for which she was paid $275,000 — came with a number of limits on press access. A copy of the contract was released by the school Wednesday. Politicians in Germany have devised an ingenious solution to combat the threat of eavesdropping by American spies: playing classical music during their meetings. MPs who sit on the spying committee had become so concerned that US agents might listen in to their discussions that they had ordered classical music to be played, to drown out the discussions. On arrival at the meeting, The Suddetusche Zeitung reported that for "security reasons" MPs had to put their mobile phones and computers into a large metal box to ensure that they were not subjected to outside surveillance.
