Just the facts, please —
climate change is real

Tampa Tribune, by Joe Henderson

Original Article

Posted By:Hazymac, 5/5/2014 4:12:08 PM

Facts are neither liberal nor conservative. They don’t come from the left, right or the center. Facts are threads that hold our planet and futures together. When we deny facts for political or personal gain, or just because we don’t want to believe, bad things often happen. So it is with those who consider catastrophic global climate change to be some liberal, tree-hugging myth. Although they offer no facts to support that view, mind you, they can sure say real loud that all this science stuff is wrong. Just ’cause. History is replete with scientists who persevered through skepticism, though.

Comments:
A Goron, a Kool-Aid tippler, makes his asinine case that humanity drives or significantly affects the climate.

Hey Joe, how much did the temperature rise last year? The year before? How much did the ice caps shrink last year? How much of the CO2 in the atmosphere is released by human activity?
I don´t care that 97 percent of the scientists in the US believe human activity is changing the climate, at one time pretty much everyone KNEW the earth was flat, or that the sun orbited the earth, or that saturated fats caused heart attacks.

No one on the AGW side has offered any facts, just lies, lots of lies, proven lies.

At this point I don´t need to prove a negative, I just need to point out that all of the AGW people are LIARS and FRAUDS.
All of them.

Actually, facts dealing with public policies are almost always "conservative," which is why liberals always have to distort or ignore them.

For Henderson to state that skeptics "offer no fact to support that view" displays the profound voluntary ignorance of one who has apparently been living under a large liberal rock for the last ten years. Because I often find myself in the position of arguing this matter with acquaintances, I have a whole directory on my hard drive replete with graphs and data, from reliable, neutral sources showing that most of the "facts" about global warming that the left "knows" to be true are pure fabrication.

Climate change is fake.

Science whores paid by the UN want to put global taxes on people around the world using the excuse of climate change. The claim is that use of hydrocarbons is making the earth warmer. They have no evidence supporting this position. It´s all just speculative models that have no connection to reality. But this doesn´t stop them from making their bogus claims.

Every month or so a new study comes out that casts doubt on AGW theory. Just one point, cyclone energy as measured by the frequency, intensity, and duration of storms is at a decades low level and an outbreak of spring storms, as usual, doesn´t change that FACT. This is real data and is pretty easy to measure. Of course if Joe didn´t see the study it doesn´t exist, kind of like the press attitude toward Benghazi. It´s easy to believe something is true when you willfully ignore all the abundant evidence to the contrary.

The "pause" in warming is real and admitted by many organizations. The ice cap ice is, overall, not decreasing, as measured by satellites. The oceans have been rising at about 2mm per year for a long time. That rate has NOT accelerated. Sea ice was abundant last year (Did they get that ship out yet?). Real science does NOT link hurricanes, tornadoes or drought to AGW. Facts, Joe, facts. Very inconvenient, eh?

When they changed the name from global warming to climate change it proved that even the warmists knew that they were wrong. It started with a few alarmists who really thought we had a problem. For the left here was the chance of a lifetime to push a radical environmental program and gain money and control. To help sell the idea they came up with cooked data like the hockey stick graph. The media prostitutes bought into it wholeheartedly.

What difference did it make that there was no real warming threat? It was just too good to resist plus it was for a "good cause" in their eyes so they felt that lying was OK. Fake but accurate all over again. The Left even has a term for it: "Lying for Justice".

When you look at all the sources of CO2 globally, man represents less than 10%. To say that man´s 10% is causing the damage is akin to saying the the tail of the dog determines its direction of travel by acting as a rudder.

In Al Gore´s an Inconvenient Truth he showed a geological age correlation of global temperature and CO2. But the warmth preceded the CO2 by roughly nearly two hundred years. You can´t argue causation when the effect occurs before the cause.

No Global Warming, so now it is Climate Change; and even if it were changing, no proof that CO2 is the cause or that humanity contributes to it.
They cannot even be consistent within the same paragraph: "Scientists have the means... the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change..." IPCC reports are NOT written by scientists, but by activist bureaucrats. I don´t care how many scientists "believe" something or what the "consensus" is. The FACTS are that it is not warming, and nobody knows what effect CO2 emmissions have on the climate.

This idiot wants us to prove it isn´t happening. That is backwards!!! Science needs to prove that it really is happening and it can´t. There is nothing to prove that we are going through anything more than normal natural cyclical climate changes as has ALWAYS been the case throughout the history of the world. Where are your facts Joe? You don´t have any. You just have a bunch of paid off so-called scientists who are using faulty models and bad data to present a picture that they want people to see. Yes, there is an agenda here, Joe. It is called control. It is called totalitarian tyranny. It is also used to rape the citizens of their wealth in order to enrich the few who seek power and control.

Baloney for brains author. No one on this side of the climate change debate argues that climate change cannot happen only that the changes we see aren´t clearly significant or clearly caused by man. But one can´t argue with such. They have bought the myth and are now religious adherents to Gore´s doomsaying (but only as the do as I say but not as I do sputtering).

One need go no further than to compare the vast archives of newspapers from a century ago which carried regular weather records with the newest published "official" weather records from the same locations at the same time. The official records differ from the published records!
Why? The "official" records have been "adjusted". The adjustment has been made to sex up the evidence for warming. You see, if you can modify and cherry-pick the original data, you can prove anything!
And then there is the question about whether the weather stations comply with the sensible rules for such stations: not being sited next to an air conditioner compressor, not being surrounded by asphalt, and so on. See the Anthony Watts website for details and "facts."
Mr Henderson is not a reporter. He is just another teleprompter reader.
