President Obama and the World
New York Times, by Editorial

Two years after winning an election in which foreign policy was barely mentioned, President Obama is being pummeled at home and abroad for his international leadership. The world sometimes seems as if it is flying apart, with Mr. Obama unable to fix it. Through a combination of a few significant missteps, circumstances beyond his control, unreasonable expectations and his maddeningly bland demeanor, Mr. Obama has opened himself to criticism that he is not articulating a strong, overarching blueprint for the exercise of American power and has not been able to bend authoritarian leaders to his will. It is paradoxical that, in

While an American embassy is being stormed by terrorists, the president is prepping for his high school debate, and still the NYT continues to rationalize everything Obama.

I am glad I am dumb, unlike these people who are ruling the world.

The only sane comment on this insanely sycophantic editorial was this one:

The Times must protect Obama from reality because it desperately wants Hillary to succeed him.

NYT is still drinking the koolaid. Mild criticism of a man who should be excoriated for his foreign policy failures.

Between blame Bush, a "recovering" economy, successfully completing two of Bush´s wars when what he really did was surrender, soft peddling on Iranian Nukes, this editorial is a joke.

They have not analyzed his foreign policy without an ideological slant. They have attempted to make excuses for his failures. Anyone paying attention knows this article is more puff piece than reality.

I get angry even reading all the excuses.

Barky has not made a series of bad random decisions. Rather, he has carried out the logical and predictable actions of someone who believes that America is the problem in the world and white people are the problem in America. This world view has been foisted upon our children in our schools for 50+ years.
It was inevitable that this poisonous and malicious point of view would manifest itself in the white house eventually. Our schools of journalism have led the way with this toxic and false world view and they, therefore stand guard over their Communist Messiah.
The collapse of America is a huge victory for the left.

This is the work of generations of spoiled children.

What did they really expect from a Community Organizer who had never held any job for over two years. Look at those he put into positions of power: his wife´s mentor who was a slum lord in Chicago; his van driver when he was a Senator; the Black man who helped Clinton pardon the tax cheat Mr. Rich; the idiot who plagiarized papers even in law school. The list goes on. He is now appointing ambassador´s who have never even visited the countries he wants to send them to and who can´t answer the simplest questions in front of the committee. His colossal failures are not a surprise.

Great comment #15 except for the fact that obama wears a black hat. Remember that there are differences between the black hats and the white hats. White hats are the good guys who ride into the fray to save the day. Now a days the good guys might even be coming from Russia. Anyone who defends and obfuscates the facts, in any fashion, about our erstwhile, downwardly spiraling, president, wear the black hats also.

New York Times, continued welcome to the world of black hats. I will submit that it seems that the New York Times does see obama as an effeminate clown as you suggest.

In other words: Obama has done an OK job all things considered, especially in view of his predecessor who was an ignoramus, a torturer of freedom loving muslims and a war monger. Anyone who reads and believes this crapola is not anyone with whom I wish to associate. Liberalism is destroying America. I don´t like liberals. Seventeen percent of people in the United States say immigration is the nation’s top problem, according to a Gallup poll released Wednesday. That´s up from 5 percent in June, and is the highest number Gallup has registered for immigration since 2006, when 15 percent said it was the nation´s most pressing problem. Gallup’s new survey found immigration is virtually tied with “dissatisfaction with government” as the nation´s top problem. The economy and unemployment rank below immigration and “dissatisfaction with government" as top problems, the new poll found. Only 8 percent now rate healthcare as the top problem, down from 16 percent in January, when

The headlines last week were all about the potential windfall: A second appraisal of works in the Detroit Institute of Arts´ collection had come in and the number was several orders of magnitude larger than the first. The city needs a valuation because the museum´s collection is in play under the current municipal bankruptcy proceeding. Back in December, Christie´s had come in with $454 million to $867 million, that low-high figure the equivalent of an auction "estimate" ranging between a number below which a work won´t sell and another representing its likely maximum hammer price. How would you feel if someone promised to give you a car, and then reneged on that pledge? That’s how all Americans should feel when it comes to ObamaCare -- because Barack Obama’s failed and discredited campaign promise to lower health insurance premiums has cost the average American family an amount equal to the price of many new cars. During his 2008 campaign, one of then-Senator Obama’s most audacious promises was that his health plan would reduce premiums by $2,500 for the average family. His repeatedly made his pledge on videotape; you can view those promises here. But health insurance premiums

The Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) latest report says that although the federal deficit this year is the lowest of the Obama era, in the near future, it is expected to skyrocket to World War II heights. The years between 2009 and 2012 saw the largest recorded federal government deficits since 1946, based on percentage of the economy. And although the White House also reported that the deficit this year is the lowest of the Obama administration, there is little reason for celebration. Millennial politics is simple, really. Young people support big government, unless it costs any more money. They´re for smaller government, unless budget cuts scratch a program they´ve heard of. They´d like Washington to fix everything, just so long as it doesn´t run anything. That´s all from a new Reason Foundation poll surveying 2,000 young adults between the ages of 18 and 29. Millennials´ political views are, at best, in a stage of constant metamorphosis and, at worst, "totally incoherent," as Dylan Matthews puts it. It´s not just the Reason Foundation.
