Is Obama Too Smart for the Presidency,
or Is It Too Tough for Him?

PJ Media, by Michael Walsh

From Peggy Noonan’s column in the Wall Street Journal today: But he seems increasingly passive. He is not passive when it comes to his political fortunes—he goes out and speaks and tries to rally the base—but even there, and certainly when it comes to governing, he seems bored, as if operating at a remove.(Snip)But is there any evidence that Obama is smart? He’s never released any of his transcripts, and we still have no idea on what basis he was admitted to Occidental, Columbia and Harvard. Further, if he were as smart as his fawning admirers in academe and the

...the man has shown himself to be an idiot savant, whose one bright star is to follow the script of a campaigning demagogue...

...all else is lacking, as well as a soul...

There is no such thing as "being too smart for the presidency ".
Thomas Jefferson was brilliant yet he found ways to govern.
There is so much to do as POUS anyone can expand their duties until their plate is full.
Obama is simply ignorant and lazy.
By ignorant I do not mean stupid.
He is ignorant of how the world works and thinks. He ignorant because he thinks communism will work.
The truth is is does not even come close to knowing what he does not know.
If his time in office was a movie, it would be a grade B comedy. Oh wait, Peter Sellers did that movie as Chancey Gardner.

I always thought that being ignorant meant that one might not know something but has the potential to learn. Obama probably fits that description. He just doesn´t choose to learn; he is lazy and feels entitled to just "be" since he is so arrogant. It is called HUBRIS which was the fatal flaw in many of Shakespear´s protagonists.

Yanked into the position without proper vetting and despite an inferior background...And maintained there for (at least) two terms despite an ongoing record of lies and criminal negligence.

Makes you wonder: Will there ever be a SBP?

Hussein would topple without his crutch the TelePrompTer. He talks a good game (in his leftist way), knows how to stir up division (one of the things the Lord hates), and takes excellent vacations, but is otherwise bereft of any positive traits. Without the 50% who have their hands out for government freebies, he would never be where he is.

The only thing Obama is smart about is sizing up situations to see how he can benefit, and in selecting smart/devious aides to work the system for him.
He won the Dem nomination because his aides figured out how to job the Iowa caucuses, how to portray Bill as a racist, and how to get the Leftmedia on his team.
He won the general election in 2008 by forfeit, and in 2012 by election fraud.
This man is no smarter than your average french fry cook. He is a devious, deceitful, cunning, manipulative, fast-talking con artist.

You have to be pushing some line of bull to claim the pipsqueak is intelligent. His mediocrity is always obvious no matter what he is doing or saying. For instance, it is exposed by the fact that he is devoid of spontaneity. He is always on he edge of inarticulateness. He is slow witted. His mind is robotic.

Best guess for an IQ is that it hovers around 110. Absolute maximum is 120.

It explains his incapacity to appreciate the American people.

He is plain smart enough to do immense damage to the Country, which is his goal. Hopefully the Supreme Court will rule Constitutionally on the cases before them, which will undo some of the mess this Administration has created, one case being the ACA law penalty being a tax, which cannot legally be initiated in the U>S> Senate. Faascinating essay. I got a wry smile reading about the Obamamometer, which measures shameless apple-polishing, with Obama at Harvard Law as the gold standard thereof.

I´m in agreement with #11 that Obama is of above average intelligence--that´s a necessity for being able to BS one´s way into the presidency--and that his IQ is in the 106 to 119 range, sufficient to cause trouble but far from brilliant. However, if sheer gall were numerically measured like intelligence quotient, Obama would be around 200. There´s never been a larger gap in any political figure between stellar reputation (for brilliance) and earthbound reality.

In all likelihood the numerically smartest president of our lifetimes was none other than Ol´ Milhouse himself. Only weeks before he passed away, I saw him giving an extemporaneous talk about foreign policy to a group of students. Although I consider myself to be of fair talent assembling words into cogent ideas, what President Nixon said that day rolled so effortlessly off his tongue, I was left in amazement. Intellectually, RMN never had to bust a gut trying to prove his smarts. He just was. And a lot of good it did him. (continued below)

Barry has several traits in common with a con artist - especially his glib way of talking when not on TOTUS. But the good news is that even the best con can only go on for so long before people start getting suspicious.

I think there is now more suspicion as Barry can´t produce the magic he promised in 2008. Even the low-fos are beginning to wonder why life isn´t easier or more fun - life is too much like work in their pea brains.

With the Lightbringer we´ve heard countless encomiums to his brainpower, but there´s little evidence apart from earnest affirmations from his retinue and from easy to impress, intellectually slothful historians who aren´t especially bright themselves.

Almost everything he´s done has been wrong--not just wrong, but grievously wrongheaded and destructive. Unless the damage he has caused has been deliberate, how could that be evidence of acumen? He´ll never willingly release his academic records because his academic achievements were middling at best, in addition to being admitted to college and law school as a foreign student (with far lower standards). So this affirmative action hire has been blessed throughout life by a set of performance standards that are lower than you or I would have to meet. Not only did he AA his way into some ritzy schools for which his qualifications were meager at best, he AA´d through two presidential elections, his skin being the deciding factor. It was Martin Luther King´s iconic speech at the Lincoln Memorial turned on its head. But that´s what has happened to the old civil rights establishment: at one time on the side of the angels, now angling for (and getting) special rather than equal treatment.

Walsh writes that to Obama the presidency is "...an entry-level gig on the way to something better or more interesting." Aside from assuming control of a UN on streoids (with the USA under the heel of the united unfree portion of humanity), I can´t imagine what other worlds Obama seeks to screw up royally.

Were Obama as brilliant as he wants everyone to believe, and as brilliant as some Streisands actually do believe he is, he would have had those college records made public before his first election. They would have shown his brilliance.

But note, that so far, no one has even bothered to forge any college records showing O´s brilliance.

Too big a hill to die on, I guess.

I´ve come to believe that Obozo really didn´t do much to get elected in 2008. I believe that there were and are those in the background saw someone that they could control in all phases and used their money and political power behind the scenes in order to put this creep in the WH. And they have succeeded beyond their largest dreams. They want to take down the America we all grew up in and love so much, and turn it into a communist dung heap where there will be a small handful of those who will rule (not govern) the masses. And the masses will be force to work at jobs they hate in order to keep those few at the top living in luxury./rant

Is the job too tough? Nope. He has largely accomplished what he set out to do which is institute foreign, economic, and cultural policies that do not favor the United States as a nation. What slows him down are politics, bureaucracy, and technology.

To take even the simplest thing, his ability (or lack of it) to speak extemporaneously is almost nil, except in the crudest colloquial way:

But, but, but ... Joe Biden says:

I am not a brain surgeon or psychiatrist, but I don´t think that even good grades (assuming obozo had good grades, which we doubt) are a guarantee of practical functionality. We all know people who were smart in learning but couldn´t apply it to resolve problems on the job. We know people who are excellent teachers but can´t apply their PhDs to practical engineering (medicine, biology, etc). My personal opinion: obozo is lazy community organizer with limited intelligence.

BO is street smart and sly. He knows how to bully and use people. He knows how to schmooze people when necessary. He makes a great con man.

He gets away with it in this country because the media covers for him. He flops on the world stage because the world press are no longer his sycophants.

BO sees the presidency as another opportunity to run a con. In that, he has been wildly successful. But he hasn´t the slightest desire or clue how to actually run the country.

"...people in Chicago are still scared about being murdered for talking about Barack Obama being gay or about what goes on at Trinity United with the still-active “Down Low Club”. Young, gay, black men are mentored into the club and are eventually paired up with often unattractive and difficult to deal with straight black women... Chicago is ruled by fear... Federal employees, like all Americans, are entitled to hold passionate political beliefs. Most executive branch federal employees, however, may not engage in certain political activities, thanks to an anti-conflict of interest principle enshrined in a federal law called the Hatch Act. To wit, President Bush requested the resignation of his GSA administrator in 2008 after the US Office of Special Counsel determined she had violated federal law by participating in a video conference with Karl Rove and sending out partisan letters. How would you feel if someone promised to give you a car, and then reneged on that pledge? That’s how all Americans should feel when it comes to ObamaCare -- because Barack Obama’s failed and discredited campaign promise to lower health insurance premiums has cost the average American family an amount equal to the price of many new cars. During his 2008 campaign, one of then-Senator Obama’s most audacious promises was that his health plan would reduce premiums by $2,500 for the average family. His repeatedly made his pledge on videotape; you can view those promises here. But health insurance premiums

In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. School Shootings: Widely Reported Tragedies Since 2000 - Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. The numbers are stark: According to the FBI's 2012 Crime in the US data, nearly 70 percent of homicides for which the FBI received weapons data involved the use

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

The headline in the Washington Post on June 4 was clear: Rove-backed American Crossroads won’t get involved in Cochran runoff Said the Post story the day after Tea Party favorite Chris McDaniel had defeated six-term Mississippi GOP Senator Thad Cochran in the first round of the state’s GOP primary: American Crossroads, a GOP establishment organization, has decided to shift its political focus almost entirely to the general election and will not be spending money in the likely runoff election to decide the Mississippi Senate nomination that was virtually deadlocked after Tuesday night. Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

Attorney General Eric Holder encouraged Americans not to forget race while working for justice and equality in their country. “As it stands, our society is not yet color blind -- nor should it be -- given the disparities that still afflict and divide us.” Holder explained, “We must be color brave, and we must never forget that all are made better and more prosperous if all are given equal opportunities.” Holder made his remarks during a speech at Howard University on Tuesday for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Civil Rights Act. “We must take into account not only the

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
