Truth behind the shocking crime that

Clayton Lockett was sentenced to death for the brutal murder of Stephanie Nieman when she and a friend walked in on him during a raid on a house. Clayton Lockett, whose execution went wrong last night, was sentenced to death following the shocking murder of Stephanie Nieman, 19. She was kidnapped, shot twice and buried alive in 1999 a month after she graduated from high school. Lockett was involved in a botched raid on a house with two other men belonging to Bobby Bornt when Miss Neiman and another 19-year-old woman walked in. Reports from the time said that Mr

And we´re supposed to be outraged because his execution was too slow? Perhaps shooting him twice and burying him alive would have been appropriate.

Right. That sounds sort of like another culture...

Good!

#1, from reading the other article, they evidently messed up on the drugs. One is supposed to basically put the person under, then the other stops the heart. They administered the 2nd drug, possibly more than once, before the other one took affect, so the guy was conscious, trying to move, as the other drug was giving him a heart attack.

Basically, he had an agonizing death.

Karma´s a bit**.

The method Clayton Lockett chose to use to murder Miss Nieman set the standard for "cruel and unusual" in any legal attempt to exact justice in this case.

He should have been buried alive and left to suffocate along in the dark.

Re #3, what I heard on Fox was different. First drug worked fine. He was unconscious.

The second drug is supposed to paralyze the body. The third is supposed to stop the heart.

The second and/or third drugs didn´t work correctly. A human body can go into drug-induced spasms even when a person is unconscious.

I doubt that he felt a thing. Which is too bad.

BTW, Lockett raped Stephanie´s friend, the girl who was with her at this house. This was reported at a site that is not postable.

Now, about that botched execution:

The execution began at 6:23 p.m., when officials began administering the midazolam. A doctor declared Lockett to be unconscious at 6:33 p.m.

Once an inmate is declared unconscious, the state´s execution protocol calls for the second drug, a paralytic, to be administered. The third drug in the protocol is potassium chloride, which stops the heart. Patton said the second and third drugs were being administered when a problem was noticed. He said it´s unclear how much of the drugs made it into the inmate´s system.

Lockett began writhing at 6:36. At 6:39, a doctor lifted the sheet that was covering the inmate to examine the injection site.

"There was some concern at that time that the drugs were not having that (desired) effect, and the doctor observed the line at that time and determined the line had blown," Patton said at a news conference afterward, referring to Lockett´s vein rupturing.

His vein ruptured and they stopped. That probably made things worse. But Drug @1 worked and he was determined to be unconscious. Unconscious people can do a number of odd things when other drugs are introduced into their systems. Not pretty to watch, but inhumane? I don´t think so. Not for this mutt.

Death penalty opponents are to blame for this by making it almost impossible to conduct an execution. There is something darkly comical about a society that is wringing its hands over prescription drug and heroin overdose deaths, yet cannot seem to manage to put a condemned murderer to death. Nothing could be simpler and in fact more pleasant than a massive intravenous overdose of a narcotic to stop the breathing, followed by a big dose of potassium to stop the heart.

The whole thing is a scam by death penalty opponents who do everything they can to obstruct justice by preventing the carrying out of the legal verdict and sentence.

The Feds keep witholding lethal drugs from States to deter them from doing proper executions.

Personally, I think they need to bring back "Ol Sparky," or the Noose. Those are tried and true methods of cleansing the national gene pool.

Just one hour of exercise a week can halve the chance of getting Alzheimer’s disease, claims a study that ranks the seven lifestyle threats driving the rising levels of dementia. The research by Cambridge University says one in three cases of the condition could be prevented by increased activity levels, a cut in smoking and tackling health problems such as obesity and diabetes. The study, published in the Lancet Neurology Monday, is the first to quantify the combined impact of lifestyle factors influencing dementia. It identifies exercise as the most significant protection against the condition. Those who failed to do three 20-minute bursts

Theresa May’s judgment has been called into question by MPs after a former judge who was appointed to lead an inquiry into allegations of historical child sex abuse by establishment figures resigned just days after she was appointed. Mrs May, the Home Secretary, appointed Lady Butler-Sloss last week to lead a sweeping inquiry into how the state, church, BBC and other public bodies handled allegations of child sexual abuse.

Where is the red line of impeachment? In theory, a red line might be located somewhere on a list of impeachable offenses – perhaps at the point where a certain number of transgressions is exceeded, or next to a specific instance because of its significance or impact. In reality, though, that red line exists along a spectrum of “political will.” As Andrew McCarthy explained: “You can have a thousand provable impeachable offenses, but before Congress may remove the president from power, there must be strong popular support – a public will that cuts across partisan and ideological lines.”
