The end of Sarah Palin
The Week, by Michael Brendan Dougherty

After this weekend, it´s probably safe to say that Sarah Palin is done. Like Jesse Ventura or Ross Perot, she may show up every once in a while to hurl red meat or use stunt cameos to remind us a little of her awkward charms. But recent events seem to confirm that she is an Obama-era novelty politician — and not much else. First she gave a speech to the NRA in which she joked that waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists, offending people who otherwise make up her base. Next, Robert Costa reported on the ever-smaller crowds that have

Comments:
Nonsense article posted to the main Yahoo page. This from a so-called conservative gen-Xer. I am frustrated we never see the "End of Obama" articles. Palin has never lied to the public, doesn´t get credit for things she is right on about.

As much as I love her political stance, Sarah has come across pretty juveille in some of her latest speeches and appearance.

Dr. Seuss and baptizing terrorists with waterboarding aside , Sarah could be much more authoritative in her denouncements of Obama-- as in Judge Jeanine Pirro´s harsh but much more direct assault on the unconstitutional illega, corrupt Whte House.

I´m guessing many of the same people who were upset by the use of the phrase "baptize terrorists" were equally upset by the phrase "same-sex marriage."

Thanx, OP, for bringing yet-another hit piece on Sarah Palin to us. Of course, you are blameless because of your laudatory comments: "Nonsense article posted to the main Yahoo page. This from a so-called conservative gen-Xer. I am frustrated we never see the "End of Obama" articles. Palin has never lied to the public, doesn´t get credit for things she is right on about." [But why, pray tell, did you think we would be interested in a "nonsense article" from Yahoo?]

Whatever. I do love to read public prayers that Sarah Palin will please (please,PLEASE!) go away. Shows how much these dudes really love her; they can´t stop thinking about her.

I´ll bet you a dime that President Cruz finds a place for Sarah in his cabinet. Say, Secretary of Energy, or Interior, or something like that.

Palin´s critics have the money and the power and the control of our media, politics, and academia to destroy her. And they attempt to, every day. They have incited hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dull-edged people to hurl insults and threats at her online and throughout social media.

All Sarah Palin has, and was born with, is her character.

That will win out in the end.

I agree #21 and thank you OP for the article. IMHO, it is best to know what people with no good intentions toward Conservatives are thinking and writing about. Of course some would rather feign outrage at differences of opinion, sounding remarkably similar to demonrats. That´s fine, but we should be able to "agree to disagree" without juvenile name-calling.

The trouble with growing older is that you remember stuff.
I remember Richard Nixon. He was VP 1952-1960. He gave a speech in 1961 or thereabouts in which he said "you won´t have Dick Nixon to kick around anymore." Right.
He was then elected governor of California. Then he was elected President of the United States.
It is about 40 years too early to declare Sarah Palin done. Who knows what she will do next?
A person who knows what our Constitution represents, who understands free markets, who fears creeping bureaucracy, who knows that Governments do harm--such a person has a bright future in politics. Not with Dougherty, granted. But there aren´t may of his type between the coasts.

Yawn.......

The media, democrats, and Republican Establishment have been telling us of Gov. Palin´s demise for years now.

All three of these establishment sects can only dream of having her natural leadership qualities. Its why they want to destroy her. She threatens them. If she didn´t, there would be no reason to write these articles.

One of the most recent displays of their idiocy was complaining she had nothing to say about the Bundy situation, which was false. This was done by the same people who rant that she should just shut up and go away. Logic is a very foreign substance to these people

Got Palin?

Well, here´s what Palin had to say about Bundy, whose name she never mentioned:

"Yet the top priority of the President (he who is the face of the Democrat party) and his bureaucrats seems to focus on heavy handedly (sic) lassoing Nevada cows to stick it to an American rancher." -- April 17

That´s nice, but it´s not exactly manning the barricades.

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. “Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security.
