Oprah Slams Clippers Owner Donald
Sterling: ´A Plantation Mentality´ (Video)

Hollywood Reporter, by Hilary Lewis

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 4/29/2014 1:58:04 PM

The mogul, on CBS This Morning to promote her new tea line with Starbucks, said Sterling´s comments remind her of "a plantation mentality in the 21st century, in 2014. It just doesn´t fit." She wants immediate action to be taken against the Los Angeles Clippers owner, who was allegedly recorded making racist comments. "Something has to be done … like, now," she said. Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, who formerly owned the Seattle SuperSonics, had a harsher recommendation for how the NBA should discipline Sterling.

Comments:
If only she was as enraged over the vile hate speech from Sharpton and the "music" from rap musicians. She took a little longer than usual to jump on the bandwagon. She really needs to get some new material.

Whenever we see yet another movement group pushing for immigration reform, or in this case, amnesty, you can be sure someone like SEIU is not far behind. From The Hill, this afternoon’s move is their latest to accomplish the following: The group is pushing for the Obama administration to expand a 2012 program that allows some children brought to the country illegally to be deprioritized for deportation. The group wants the program to include the family members of those children as well. In other words, amnesty. In other words, no enforcement, and in fact, a reward for a lawless and orchestrated invasion

Veterans aren’t happy with a recent op-ed by the Washington Post, which charged that the Apache, Comanche, Chinook, Lakota, Cheyenne and Kiowa military vehicles were a “greater symbolic injustice” than the NFL’s Washington Redskins’ name. “Even if the NFL and Redskins brass come to their senses and rename the team, a greater symbolic injustice would continue to afflict Indians — an injustice perpetuated not by a football club but by our federal government,” Simon Waxman of the Boston Review wrote for the Post on Thursday.

Nancy Pelosi’s daughter believes the border cannot be secured. In an interview with MSNBC’s Richard Lui, filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi talked about the American dream, and how it is very much still alive. She spoke about her recent visit to see families on the Mexican side of the border, claiming that “they have nothing” and because of that, will do whatever it takes to get to the United States. Many people choose to go through the horrendous travel “because they have nothing to lose. They’re gonna come to America or they’re gonna die trying,” says the daughter of the minority leader.

´Obama Deports Parents´

Scores of young immigrants stormed Capitol Hill on Friday to press leaders in both parties to rein in deportations for the sake of their families. The activists – most of them undocumented immigrants who have enrolled in President Obama´s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program – are fighting GOP efforts to scrap that initiative while simultaneously pressing Democrats to fight harder for its immediate expansion. Toward that end, the advocates – many sporting bright blue t-shirts emblazoned with the message "OBAMA DEPORTS PARENTS" – singled out three lawmakers on Friday: House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio); House Oversight Chairman Darrel Issa

President Obama offered a scathing indictment of congressional Republicans during an economic speech in Minnesota on Friday, accusing his political opponents of failing to “do anything, except block me and call me names.” The president argued the GOP had “blocked or voted down every serious idea to strengthen the middle class” offered by Democrats this year. He specifically cited efforts to raise the minimum wage, pass legislation guaranteeing fair pay between men and women and implement immigration reform. The remarks felt like an opening to the serious campaign season, given Congress’s departure from Washington for the July 4 recess. Lawmakers have spent relatively

Iraq has bought used fighter jets from Russia and Belarus to battle Islamist militants after long delays in the delivery of F-16 planes from the U.S. left troops without air support, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said. Maliki, in an interview with BBC Arabic yesterday, blamed the U.S.’s “long, very slow way” for delaying the delivery of 36 aircraft. “We shouldn’t have just bought U.S. jets, we should have bought British, French and Russian jets to provide air support. If we had air support, none of this would have happened,” he said, according to excerpts e-mailed by the BBC. The U.S is delivering

Republicans are in the strongest position to win back the Senate since losing it eight years ago. Over several months, the party has expanded its range of targeted seats, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has helped defeat insurgents it didn’t want representing the GOP in the midterm elections. This sober realization came to Democrats on Wednesday, as Tuesday night’s primary results showed they cannot count on Tea Party candidates upsetting more-electable incumbents. And Democrats are increasingly realizing that President Obama’s approval rating will probably remain mired at 45 percent or lower until

A shocking new report from the Center for Immigration Studies claims to prove that every single new job created in America for the last fourteen years has gone to immigrants, legal and illegal. This would fly in the face of those who claim that immigration is an economic boon to native born Americans: The CIS report found that over the last 14 years, people who were born in the United States held 114.8 million jobs in 2000, and held 114.7 million jobs in 2014, a drop of 127,000. Were Lois Lerner’s allegedly lost emails actually destroyed? An Ohio-based trade association, the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers (IAITAM), isn’t so sure, and they don’t find IRS commissioner Koskinen’s explanation of their loss very plausible. IAITAM administers internationally accepted certifications for information technology professionals. According to the group’s standards, if Lerner’s supposedly malfunctioning hardware was properly destroyed, there would be records of it. Dr. Barbara Rembiesa, president of IAITAM, questions whether there is documentation of the destruction of the files. Who performed the work, says Rembiesa, is important because not all IT professionals are IAITAM certified. “The notion
