The Establishment Republican-
Leftist Alliance

FrontPage, by Arnold Ahlert

Original Article

Posted By:Judy W., 4/29/2014 7:31:57 AM

During the first weekend in April, Republican leaders in the House and Senate held a retreat with the Republican Main Street Partnership on Florida’s Amelia Island. No ordinary conservative political powwow, the meeting brought together establishment Republicans and leftist-supported advocacy groups, whose shared interests include neutralizing the conservative grassroots movement and passing legislative items on the Left’s agenda. The meeting was hosted at the Ritz Carlton by the Republican Main Street Partnership’s offshoot “Main Street Advocacy.” Former Ohio Congressman and left-wing Republican Steve LaTourette fronts the group.

Comments:
This is nauseating and infuriating.

What?

I want names and I want those names to be made public along with their agenda goals.

this group has the avowed purpose now of destroying the very grassroots people that gave Republicans the majority in 2010 and 2012,” Gohmert explains.

Republicans cannot be that easily co-opted. Can they? How did we get infiltrated so badly? The IRS refusal to grant tax exempt status to conservative groups has enhanced this group´s ability to hold such a meeting without repercussions.

If the national GOP will not disavow this group and its agendas, there is going to be a bloodbath this next election. I don´t know what to say about this other than that it´s nauseating. If it´s successful, we can kiss this country´s freedom goodbye and start expatriation procedures.

The MSIF received a $50,000 contribution from billionaire leftist George Soros soon after it was created. Soros attempted to make a seven-figure contribution to the Main Street Partnership, but it was declined.

Why is George Soros still walking around free as a bird? What a shame that any Republican would accept funds from a man who should be treated as a pariah, especially any Jewish person - Eric Cantor?

might wish to go back and review yesterday´s post 782053, discussing the reality that "Wall Street Republicans prefer Hillary". Translated, that means that the "Upper Crust" of the RNC has been bought (or, at the least, rented with an option) by those who have no love for the Republic. These are the ´moderates´, the Mainstream, the "wiser heads", who gave us Mitt, and Dole, and McCain and so many like them. The same flaks who make snarky remarks about ´purity tests´ and ´circular firing squads´ and practicality. And that´s not counting those in the Congress, the governorships, the state-level electeds lusting for higher office.

Yesterday someone pointed out to me regarding one of my posts that it was vital that the Republican Party remain and cutting off funding was not a good option. The solution was that more Tea Party needed to be elected within the GOP. The problem is, as long as the Tea Party remains tied to the Republican Party they will never be in a position of influence and will continuously be undermined and marginalized. The GOP and DNC run on donations. Those that give more get a greater voice at the table. Amnesty for its cheap labor is the result.

The solution is starve the GOP, RNC, and Senate Republicans in donations. DON´T Give. Give directly to the candidate of your choice. BUT if they are running on the Republican Ticket they are taking money from the Republican Leadership and are therefore in debt. Therefore time to start a new party.

It will be painful and will take time. BUT the Republicans are leading us down the same path Socialists and Marxists wish to take us. Only the GOP is doing it out stupidity and the insane belief that they can reason with these people.

Oh well, History is not created or shaped by the many it is made by the few.

The democrats are socialists and totalitarian. They have purged their party and also run the republican party. It looks like democracy, electoral legitimacy, choices, but it is totalitarian in the same sense as the old Soviet elections - the voter could vote yes or no to the communist pick, but they were all communists. Now they are all socialists, except for some conservatives fighting to get control of a party.

Astounding that posters are "Shocked, shocked that the R´s are in cahoots w/the left." Obvious that lo-fo types are plentiful in the GOP. History is a marvelous teacher for the willfully uninformed. In fact, the GOP has never been a traditional conservative party of principle. NEVER, EVER!
It was secular progressive left since the Civil War and the party of government, whose paymaster has always been corporate interests; in contrast to the Southern Agrarian D´s. And nothing has changed in 150 years! Since McKinley, the R´s have nominated 3 conservatives. Three! Yet many refuse to let go of their infantile delusion that R = Good and D = Bad. Why of course!

Back in the heyday of the British Empire, a man from one of the colonies addressed a London audience. "Please do not do any more good in my country," he said. "We have suffered too much already from all the good that you have done." That is essentially the message of an outstanding new book by Jason Riley about blacks in America. Its title is "Please Stop Helping Us." Its theme is that many policies designed to help blacks are in fact harmful, sometimes devastatingly so. These counterproductive policies range from minimum wage laws to "affirmative action" quotas. This book untangles the controversies,

“New analyses of the human genome establish that human evolution has been recent, copious and regional,” writes Nicholas Wade in his recently published book A Troublesome Inheritance: Genes, Race and Human History. That sounds reasonable, and Wade, a science reporter and editor for many years at Nature and the New York Times, seems an unimpeachable source. But many well-meaning people will regard his words as provocative and even dangerous. For they fatally undermine the idea, widely shared by so-called progressives, that any apparent differences between groups of people are the product of nurture rather than nature, of social conditioning rather than

FOR a generation now, liberals have bemoaned the disappearance of the socially conscious corporation, the boardroom devoted to the common good. Once, the story goes, America’s C.E.O.s recognized that they shared interests with workers and customers; once wages and working hours reflected more than just a zeal for profits. But then came Reagan, deregulation, hostile takeovers, and an era of solidarity gave way to the age of Gordon Gekko, from which there’s been no subsequent escape. There are, however, exceptions: companies that still have a sense of business as a moral calling, which can be held up as examples to

ISIS marching through Iraq has smashed the media’s taboo against criticizing Obama’s foreign policy. Substantive discussions are taking place about why his foreign policy is such a miserable failure. And they mostly miss the point. Liberal journalists still proceed from the fallacy that there was a foreign policy debate between neo-conservative interventionists and liberal non-interventionists. These are a series of digested Bush era talking points that have no relationship to reality since Bush’s foreign policy on Iraq carried over from Bill Clinton. It’s why Hillary gets so uncomfortable when she has to discuss her vote on Iraq.

In April, President Obama told the nation that “marketplace” or “exchange” enrollment, at 8 million customers as of March 31, had exceeded expectations and costs were lower than expected. Many in the news media accepted the selectively released statistics, despite the Obama administration’s record of sometimes providing inaccurate or incomplete information on HealthCare.gov. Even today, the government continues to withhold relevant public information on costs and enrollment requested by Congress and the press under the Freedom of Information Act. President Obama evidently has decided not to put a human face on the crisis unfolding at the U.S. southern border—not even his own. The White House said over and over again Monday that Obama will not travel to the border with Mexico despite flying to Texas this week to raise money for Democratic candidates there. It´s certainly in part a political decision, one meant to avoid taking ownership of a difficult issue on which the White House would prefer to share blame.
