An all black basketball league?
American Thinker, by Richard Baehr

Original Article

Larry Johnson was a junior college transfer who became the top star of the 1989-1991 Running Rebels of UNLV, leading them to two final four appearances and one championship. He later had a successful ten year NBA career with the Charlotte Hornets and the New York Knicks. In 1993, Johnson signed what was at the time the most lucrative NBA contract in history -- $84 million over 12 years. Nevertheless Johnson apparently believes that NBA players, despite their compensation levels, are still slaves to their white masters, and wants a new all black league. The idea for an all black

All things can be explained as occurring in cycles.

There´s seasonal cycles, biological cycles, planetary cycles, businesses cycles, etc., and, apparently, there are societal cycles in the way professional sports leagues are organized.

Hey Larry, you "genius". $84 MILLION over 12 years? Would that be before or after "racism" began? BTW, where would this "league" find their audience? The tatooed-laden-over-paid-thuggish-prima-donnas of b-ball have long ago priced out the only fans that would care to go see a bunch of segregationists toss a ball into a basket. Pathetic.

It is time for the eeoc to step in and demand "affirmative action". There is no reason tgat the leagues should not resemble the general age, gender, and race composition of the general population.

Larry should look around him at all of the hard working Americans around him working blue collar jobs and struggling to make ends meet as people live paycheck to paycheck while paying taxes.

He should look at all those around him who are underemployed or unemployed as a result of this Administrations current policies.

Then he should ask, who are the slaves? Him at $83 million or those Americans working hard, paying their taxes to support those who choose not to work?

Be careful throwing the "slavery" word around Larry, because there are a lot of hardworking, tax paying Americans who are beginning to feel like slaves to this government and the "underprivileged" communities.

well, we already have Black Congressional Caucus, Black Entertainment TV, black fraternities and sororities, black colleges, black pride month, Black Spring Break.
Might as well go all the way with full segregation.
But make it equal on both sides. No more double standard where blacks can exclude non-blacks from "black" organizations, but blacks cannot be excluded from any other organizations.

I don´t watch NBA because it is racist. The makeup of the teams do not reflect the makeup of the population as a whole, and Hispanics, Asians, and Caucasians are not appropriately represented at the same percentage as they are in the United States population as a whole.

I think we just found out what the whole Donald Sterling thing is all about. His part black paid "girlfriend" gets him on illegal tape saying the stuff he´s been saying for years. All the media runs with the illegally gotten recordings, outs him as the racist he´s been for all the years the NAACP has lauded him, ruins the team value and forces him to sell to a minority owner cheap. I´ll lay odds that is how this´ll all play out. And the teams will be worth about as much as Detroit real estate when it´s all done.

Larry Johnson is a straight out racist, obviously, but luckily for him he is a member of the race that can be racist if it wants to. Imagine what would happen to a white person who suggested any kind of organization (sports or otherwise) that was closed to all but whites.

And by the way, I´ve got no sympathy for the Dem hypocrite creep Sterling, but are we all supposed to pretend now that there is no such thing as disapproval or resentment in the black community of blacks who date or marry outside their race?

I´ve given up on the game, it´s pretty pathetic. The original RULES of basketball are routinely ignored...traveling, palming the ball, reaching in, charging, pushing off (sholder pushes to get position on a shot is common place).

It´s not Basketball, it´s Hockey without sticks.

Impeachment: The Red Line
and the Last Straw
American Thinker, by Cindy Simpson    Original Article

Where is the red line of impeachment? In theory, a red line might be located somewhere on a list of impeachable offenses – perhaps at the point where a certain number of transgressions is exceeded, or next to a specific instance because of its significance or impact. In reality, though, that red line exists along a spectrum of “political will.” As Andrew McCarthy explained: “You can have a thousand provable impeachable offenses, but before Congress may remove the president from power, there must be strong popular support – a public will that cuts across partisan and ideological lines.”

PARIS - The mother of a pupil at a French pre-school stabbed a teacher to death in front of her class Friday, the last day of the school year, authorities said. The education minister said the mother apparently had "serious psychiatric problems," and pledged support for teachers in the face of angry or violent parents. Police said the mother was taken into custody. Deadly attacks in a school are extremely rare in France, and the stabbing in front of a class of 5- and 6-year-olds raised concern at the highest levels. Life in modern America does not get more cruelly perverse than this: one major reason Judge Debra Nelson threw out George Zimmerman’s libel suit against NBC on Monday was because of Zimmerman’s public pursuit of racial justice. Yes, that George Zimmerman, the same “child killer” who shot black teen Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida, in February 2012. In the way of background, Zimmerman had sued NBC for manipulating the substance of his famous call to a police dispatcher to make him sound like a racist. As thousands of disease-riddled criminals storm across our borders, is it really time to mince words? President Obama appears to have an Agenda for America that stinks worse than a Border Patrol bus depot crammed with urine-drenched illegals. Is the man trying to protect and defend us, or does he want us to kick the bucket, run down the curtain, and join the choir invisible? On January 29, 2014, the Department of Homeland Security advertised for a vendor to escort 65,000 “unaccompanied alien children,” indicating that they not only knew the alien invasion was coming, they planned it.

Employment rates for college graduates are dismal. Aggregate student debt is staggering. But university administrative salaries are soaring. The campus climate of tolerance has utterly disappeared. Only the hard sciences and graduate schools have salvaged American universities’ international reputations. For over two centuries, our superb system of American public and private higher education kept pace with radically changing times and so ensured our prosperity and reinforced democratic pluralism. But a funny thing has happened on the way to the 21st century. Colleges that were once our most enlightened and tolerant institutions

Were I to update my 2007 book, What’s the Matter with California, I would dedicate a chapter to Elliot Rodger, the sexually jealous young man who stabbed, shot, and ran over a score of victims, seven of them fatally, in his hate-filled Santa Barbara rampage. Unlike many recent mass killers -- Adam Lanza (Sandy Hook), Jared Lee Loughner (Tucson), and James Holmes (Aurora) -- Rodger was sane enough to tell the world what ailed him, and this he did in a lucid, well written, 140-page memoir/ manifesto titled “My Twisted World.” better title might have been “Our Twisted World.”

Scarier still, to the degree the major media noticed, they cheered. In a phone conversation I had with video maker Nakoula Basseley Nakoula last week, he had one pressing question:

With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that

Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks
