Report: Feds Mull Cuts
Due To Medicaid Backlogs

Daily Caller, by Sarah Hurtubise

States are working through hundreds of thousands of backlogged applications due to Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion, but the administration is threatening to cut funding for dealing with them. A massive influx of Medicaid applications has been further complicated by technological snafus between HealthCare.gov and incompatible state technologies, creating backlogs across the country. According to a report from Washington, D.C. think tank the American Action Forum, outgoing Health and Human Services Sec. Kathleen Sebelius is proposing a solution that will make the problem worse. During a recent Senate Finance Committee hearing, Sebelius suggested that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) would temporarily

This is why the governors of the states refusing to join the Obamacare exchanges resisted the temptation of the quick up-front money.

The other states who picked up the expanded Medicaid are fools and their taxpayers are going to see huge hikes when CMS and the Feds decide they no longer want to pay for the expansion much less the current backlog which the Fed created.

We have representatives who want to "fix" this mess instead of repealing and starting over. Yeah, right. I´m betting John Boehner agrees with her.

Medicaid is going to bankrupt this nation. Why save a dime for when you get old and ill when taxpayers will be forced to pick up the tab when the time comes? There are many that can´t and have health issues. They are not the problem. It is the irresponsible that could, don´t, and leave it to the rest of us to clean up the mess.

George Zimmerman says he is homeless and jobless but spends $100 a month on vacations and $200 a month on counseling. According to recently filed divorce papers documenting his finances, Zimmerman listed assets totaling $14,000, which accounts for his 2008 Honda pickup and debts of $2.5 million in legal fees, the Orlando Sentinel reported. The 30-year-old former Neighboorhood Watch volunteer was found not guilty last year of shooting to death Trayvon Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old walking through Zimmerman’s housing complex in Sanford, Fla. His wife, Shellie, filed for divorce two months after his acquittal for the 2012 killing. As part of those proceedings, Zimmerman

I’m perplexed. You can’t turn on the TV without seeing all the 1-percenter millionaire Democrat politicians professing their support for the “dreamers” who are swarming across the Rio Grande, bringing turmoil, tattoos and tuberculosis in their wake. Barack Obama says these “children” represent the “future,” and I’m sure he fervently hopes they do. Che Guevara wanted two, three, many Vietnams. Barack wants two, three, many Foss Parks, as in the once-safe Somerville common that was, uh, “liberated” by the dreamers of MS-13. But why aren’t Barack and his moonbat minions celebrating diversity by taking these undocumented Democrats in? And by “in” I

Clinton adviser: Independent

WASHINGTON — A close adviser to Hillary Clinton agrees with Republicans that it’s time for an independent prosecutor to investigate alleged IRS targeting of conservative groups and missing e-mails. Lanny Davis — who was a counselor to President Bill Clinton — said the IRS needs intense scrutiny from an outside investigator. “There’s no Democrat that I know of that wouldn’t be asking a Republican administration to conduct an independent investigation” if Republicans were in charge, Davis said Friday. Davis referenced the disclosure that IRS official Lois Lerner proposed investigating Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) after she received an invitation intended for him. The invite

In the current overload of Obama administration scandals and strategic disasters distracting our attention, it is easy to ignore a more central truth: The Obama administration is hastening the destruction of America from within. The latest disaster is allowing Iraq to slide into a full sectarian civil war, which when added to the other scandals that include Benghazi, the Internal Revenue Service, Veterans Affairs, illegal immigration and Ukraine, the American public’s attention is clearly on overload. As a result, not much attention has been paid to the recent meeting in Switzerland between high-level U.S. and Iranian delegates that made absolutely no

There are two arguments that advocates of Chris McDaniel are using to suggest that the results of Tuesday´s Republican Senate run-off election in Mississippi should be overturned. First, they argue that voters who voted in the Democratic primary and the Republican run-off should be eliminated from the total. And, second, they argue that Mississippi law prevents someone from voting in a party primary who won´t support the general election candidate. Neither argument will work. In the first case, there are almost certainly not enough Democratic primary/GOP runoff ballots to make up the nearly 7,000-vote gap between McDaniel and incumbent Sen. Thad

Marcella Bracamonte told ABC News that 64-year-old Diane Stretton left the home in Upland, San Bernardino County, on Thursday morning and hasn´t returned. She left behind her belongings. "I don´t know what happened," Bracamonte said. The story of the nanny who wouldn´t leave became national news this week. Bracamonte and her husband, Ralph, told how they had hired Stretton in March to help care for their three children, ages 1, 4 and 11, in exchange for free

The Clinton comeback tour is not going exactly as planned. “Clintons taking turns explaining family fortune only worsens their PR problem,” says Mediaite columnist Joe Concha, who has followed the trajectory of the Clinton wealth matter since it first surfaced some two weeks ago, at the start of Hillary Clinton’s much-ballyhooed book tour. “First it was Hillary. Then Hillary again. Then Chelsea. Back to Hillary. And now Bill,” he notes, framing the wealth dance as a “bizarre start to their reintroduction tour.” Mr. Concha also cites a glaring, basic factor. “The Clintons should be so much better than this. We were hiking across the Coosaw Plantation, an enviable slice of Southern landscape that Sanford’s family owns. Nestled in the marshy South Carolina coastline, it has ancient live oaks and twisting palmettos, cascading Spanish moss and views of the Coosaw River and the Atlantic beyond. Naturally, it strikes me as a very impressive and encouraging speech. But I think I would say that even if I were less inclined to

In Tuesday’s Republican primary runoff in Mississippi, Chris McDaniel could have run on an economic growth platform and won, but he chose to run as a clueless conservative, and he lost. The lesson from this race is clear. If conservatives forget that economic growth is the signature Republican issue, they should expect to lose. Yes, the actions taken by the Republican establishment to help incumbent senator Thad Cochran were egregious and disgusting, but if McDaniel had given the electorate any sign that he knew how to fix the economy (which is the voters’ #1 concern right now), he would have won

A shocking new report from the Center for Immigration Studies claims to prove that every single new job created in America for the last fourteen years has gone to immigrants, legal and illegal. This would fly in the face of those who claim that immigration is an economic boon to native born Americans: The CIS report found that over the last 14 years, people who were born in the United States held 114.8 million jobs in 2000, and held 114.7 million jobs in 2014, a drop of 127,000. Edward Klein’s book about the animosity between the Clintons and Obamas, “Blood Feud” (Regnery Publishing), rocketed up the best-seller charts since it was featured in The Post last Sunday. Here, in another exclusive excerpt, Klein describes how Bill’s health is a preoccupation of the Clintons. A pair of black, armor-plated SUVs swung into a suburban cul-de-sac and crunched to a stop in the driveway of the Clintons’ home in Chappaqua, New York. A wall of burly Secret Service agents jumped out and surrounded the man who emerged from the lead vehicle. It was mid-summer 2013, and Bill Clinton looked shrunken and weary.

With the news of a massive influx of immigrants on the southern border, a new Gallup Poll shows that only 22% of Americans favor increased immigration. Only 14% of Republicans, 23% of independents, and 27% of Democrats favor increased immigration. This included 50% of GOP voters, 43% of independents, and 32% of Democrats. The percentage of those preferring to decrease immigration has jumped from 35% in 2012 and 2013 to 41% in 2014. The first is how you talk about it. The second is how you collect it — or, to be more precise, the fact that you’re still frenetically collecting it. Let me be clear at the outset: The issue isn’t that you’re rich, or even that you and your husband became rich after leaving office. What transpired in the Mississippi Senate run-off is a red line for many conservatives across the country, because the Republican Party establishment essentially took a civil war and escalated it to a war for independence. It’s one thing to oppose your base in a primary. It’s entirely another to despicably play the race card against your base, and bolster the legitimacy of the propaganda of our race-baiting opponents on the Left. But that’s exactly what the Kamikaze pilots running the GOP did. As a result, Chris McDaniel won Republican voters handily on Tuesday, but still lost the run-off statewide thanks
