Sponsors begin pulling
support of Los Angeles Clippers

USA Today, by David Leon Moore

Original Article

Los Angeles - Sponsors are pulling a fast break away from the Los Angeles Clippers and their embattled owner, Donald Sterling. As the condemnation of Sterling and his racially insensitive comments spread Monday, major financial supporters of the NBA franchise announced they were severing ties with the Clippers. In rapid succession, the mass exodus included used car seller CarMax, State Farm Insurance, Kia Motors America and airline Virgin America. And according to ESPN sports business reporter Darren Rovell, Red Bull also is suspending its marketing activities with the Clippers.

Comments:
I guess the next thing is to get all those young black men facing off in these sports from saying those things they wouldn´t at the dinner table. Of course, because of their victim status, there is very little to tell them not to express when it comes to their limited vocabulary. Not one word here about this guy being a big dRATS financial supporter. 0bama chiming in on the other side of the world shows you his own racist hate for all things rich, white and successful...but, he´ll still take their money.

And Sterling owns Maylasian Airlines no doubt. I assume anyone who knows Sterling knows of his personal biases. The liberals casting stones wouldn´t want their private musings broadcast to the world either, because they would include the very same kind of biases, just against different people. Same difference. But Sterling´s recordings are being released, and so he´s the current bad guy. Democrat too, but that´s the only non-secret the media isn´t willing to disclose.

If I cared about the NBA (which I no longer do after selling off my TrailBlazer tickets) I would try to throw some biz this guy´s way--to make a stand that he has a right to say what he wants.
It is a good thing that there are not more pressing issues facing America so that we can devote all this time to what some guy said to his girlfriend............/s off.
Sheesh.

This is perfect timing for Boehner and McConnell to introduce the NBA Parity Act of 2014.

In the name of fairness and diversity starting immediately black players will be cut from teams making room for white players.

I could care less what happenes to Sterling, he is a Dem and a lib. But the hypocrisy from the left is just so blatant. Compare this to the words of the Black talking heads on MSNBC describing white conservatives. It is worse than this, but that is ok. It is about time Blacks and their liberal friends grow up and quit acting like little five year olds who can´t accept reality or criticism. Obama is perfect example of this.

Dressed in a somber suit, Bogdan Mazur stood before the Illinois Prisoner Review Board this week and begged the panel not to tear his family apart. Portraying himself as an adoring father, the 53-year-old Oswego man was mostly met with befuddled looks from the four-member panel. In 2007, Mazur arranged for cocaine, marijuana and a .22 caliber handgun to be planted in the trunk of his estranged wife’s car — in a failed attempt to get her deported to her native Poland. (Snip) Now, Mazur faces deportation. He’s a citizen of both Australia and Poland, a felon living in the United States on a long-expired visa.

Australian Islamic preacher Musa

Australian religious extremist Musa Cerantonio has been arrested in the Philippines after boasting he had travelled to the Middle East to join jihadists. The arrest of 29-year-old Melbourne-born Mr Cerantonio on the island of Cebu early Friday morning is a coup for Western intelligence agencies which have named him as one of the top two influential jihadist “inspirations” for fighters in Syria and Iraq. Mr Cerantonio had announced on Twitter earlier this month that he had made it successfully to the Levant – presumably either Syria or Iraq – after leaving the Philippines where he was believed to be in hiding.

What were they thinking? In the wake of last fall’s revelation that the National Security Agency had wiretapped German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s cell phone, the report of U.S. intelligence’s involvement in two other likely cases of spying on Germany is mind-boggling. (Snip) What was worth this risk? CIA and White House officials have said little to answer the question. But the fact that German industry has strong ties to both Russia and Iran may offer a clue. So economic and political intelligence about Germany’s contacts with those countries could be high on the list of potential U.S. intelligence targets.

California church handing out

A Catholic church in a California community has opened its doors to the influx of illegals making their way across the border, giving temporary shelter — and cash — to 46 of them who were waiting for bus rides to spots around the country. San Bernardino Diocese spokesman John Andres told Breitbart that the church handed out “travel cash” to 14 adults and 32 children who were headed east, specifically to New York or New Jersey. “The Catholic Church welcomed us,” an immigrant named Bianca told CBS’s Los Angeles affiliate. “We are here. We are OK.” The cash disbursements and church aid comes as protesters down the road

The Rev. Jesse Jackson criticized President Obama for putting unaccompanied alien children before Chicago, and argued that the federal government should award the Windy City $2 billion to help combat violence. “If we can find $4 billion for those children — and we should — we can find $2 billion for Chicago,” Mr. Jackson said, a CBS-affiliated radio station reported Wednesday. “There are more children involved, and more have been killed, and more have been shot,” he said. The reverend’s comments come after the White House asked Congress Tuesday for $3.7 billion to fund programs to deal with the influx

Has it been a “year of action” for President Obama? The White House has released a 42-page document boldly proclaiming "an update on what President Obama has done this year to help ensure opportunity for all Americans.” In reality, it’s a collection of spin, listing in a sugar-coated manner what the president has done for everyday Americans through executive orders, speeches, summits and meetings as well as things that would happen anyway. Out of the 45 “new actions to date” in the document, nearly all of them neatly demonstrate how Obama has maneuvered around Congress (his opponents will be thrilled) by using his executive powers,

New York - Chrysler says it is recalling 651,000 Jeep and Dodge SUVs in the U.S. because vanity mirror lights that have undergone repairs can short circuit and start a fire if not reassembled correctly. The recall is for certain 2011 to 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango models. Chrysler says it has seen the problem only in lighted sun visor mirrors that have been repaired. But as a precaution, it says the recall applies to all of the vehicles. The automaker says it knows of three injuries caused by the lighted mirror. Chrysler will contact customers and let them know when they can have the problem fixed.

Washington - Amazon wants to start flying their drones, moving from what some called a PR stunt, to a true delivery business. But to do that, they need to conduct test flights. Today, the company formally requested an exemption from Federal Aviation Administration rules that largely prohibit the use of drones for commercial purposes. The request was posted to Regulations.gov, the official government website for comments on regulatory matters. Amazon’s letter should draw attention to FAA regulations which to date have received very little official commentary from an industry still struggling to find its voice.

Obama spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday, as Israel was intensifying an bombardment of the Gaza Strip in an attempt to thwart rocket fire targeting Israel. Obama also relayed concerns about a Palestinian-American teenager who was detained and apparently beaten by Israeli authorities.

Despite fiery statements issued by Hamas spokesmen over the past 48 hours, it was obvious Tuesday night that the Islamist movement was searching for ways to rid itself of the current escalation. Hamas feels that it has been forced into a confrontation with Israel – one that it did not want at this stage because of its increased isolation and financial crisis. The massive Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours have surprised Hamas and other Palestinian groups. The facts are simple. The IRS systematically targeted conservative and Tea Party groups after their activism proved decisive in the 2010 midterm elections—Obama’s famous “shellacking.” The effects of this targeting were widespread. Some Tea Party groups were neutered in the months before the 2012 presidential election. Few of the explanations or justifications of this targeting provided by IRS leaders and Obama administration officials have held up. IRS officials at first denied that any targeting had taken place. That was false. They later claimed that the targeting had involved only low-level employees in the Cincinnati office. That was false. They argued
