Fox News Hopes ‘Outnumbered,’

Variety, by Brian Steinberg

When “Outnumbered” launches on Fox News Channel today at noon, viewers may tune in solely to see whether argument erupts along gender lines created by the program’s eyebrow-raising central conceit of four female anchors and one male guest holding forth on the issues of the day.(Snip)“We needed to have a show that would be nimble enough to deal with the news, having journalism at the heart of this.” Even so, it’s hard not to look closely at the way “Outnumbered” is packaged. The show is unlike anything else on the cable-news daytime schedule. At the same hour, MSNBC features veteran correspondent

Comments:
Fox´s version of the View. We left it on long enough for Tucker Carlson to show up amid all the gushing females (some of whom need to be taught to wear slightly longer skirts and to arrange their legs so that we are not peeking up their thighs), and then we clicked it off.

IMHO, Fox is heading the wrong direction with this junk.

The problem with Fox shows like this is they ALL rehash topics that have been going on for several days. The Five has fallen into this boring pattern and usually have nothing interesting to add to the topics.
I value poster´s comments on this site more than I do the team on the Five, the LSM panel on Greta, the panels on Kelly and Hannity, and now a midday panel of four women and a man. It is so overused on Fox is is boring.
I do like Tucker Carlson´s strong conservative comments on the weekend shows.

Sounds like The Five duplicate, but without the wit & wisdom of someone as bright & eloquent as Greg Gutfeld, why watch? Neither does this new show sound like it can measure up to those truly informative panel discussions William Buckley once hosted on TV, programs which were always worth the time to watch & contemplate the various perspectives on important issues.

Oh yes, wouldn´t it be wonderful to have a Sunday show HALF as politically incisive as the old Firing Line hosted by Wm F. Buckley. Problem is, now over half the audience would have to look up too many words to understand what is going on.. As a woman, the Outnumbered is same old same old, women get to beat up the men, men can´t speak the truth. OP is right. FOX is mostly fluff now.

Which, for those in the cheap seats, is that women, by virtue of their chromosomes, can reliably be counted on to think alike, and never hold the same views as -- gasp! -- a man.

Vice President Joe Biden said Wednesday the “hope and change” promised by President Obama and himself in 2008 never happened. Biden was speaking at the Generation Progress, a segment of the Center for American Progress dedicated to student and youth advocacy. “Look folks, this is within our power to change,” Biden said to the crowd. “Everybody says because we tried in ‘08 and it didn’t happen, it’s not possible. Wrong. We’ve gone through these periods before.” Biden later said change was still possible if youth were the force behind it. “But folks, this is totally within our power. Change. We’ve been saying for two weeks that President Obama has a weak hand as he promotes his plan to deal with his own manufactured “border crisis”. SAN FRANCISCO -- A federal judge declared California´s death penalty unconstitutional Wednesday, saying delays of 25 years or more in deciding appeals and carrying out occasional executions have created an arbitrary and irrational system that serves no legitimate purpose. For most of the 748 current Death Row inmates, "systemic delay has made their execution so unlikely that the death sentence carefully and deliberately imposed by the jury has been quietly transformed into one no rational jury or legislature could ever impose: life in prison, with the remote possibility of death," said U.S. District Judge Cormac Carney of Santa Ana.

It looks like Pope Francis is rethinking the idea of celibacy for clergy, and it’s about time. In a recent interview with the founder of the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Pope Francis was asked about the church’s sex scandals and the requirement that priests be celibate. (Snip) The Vatican then sounded a cautionary note, saying La Repubblica’s article — which also claimed the pontiff said about 2% of Catholic priests are pedophiles — might not quote Pope Francis’ exact words, but reflected the “sense and spirit” of his feelings.
