Gubernatorial candidate Neel Kashkari, who is trailing badly in the polls, said Sunday that former President George W. Bush, 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney and other Republican leaders are aiding his campaign. "A lot of people nationally have been helping," he told reporters after speaking to a Republican women´s convention in Orange. "[Former Florida Gov.] Jeb Bush has been helping, [former Indiana Gov.] Mitch Daniels has given a lot of advice on economy policy.

Interesting primary forthcoming--We shall see if Romney, both Bushes, Daniels and other RINOs are beneficial in his quest to win the primary.

Kashkari is of course former Goldman Sachs, Bush hired him somewhere around 2007, so he knows about TARP and how to protect big banks. And he voted for Obama in 2008. So, yeah, perfect.

Its no wonder he has problems with GOP voters. Here are some of his Political positions.

On social issues, he supports abortion rights, marriage equality, and a path to legal status for illegal immigrants. He voted against California´s Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in 2008

On environmental issues, he voted against California´s Proposition 23, which would have suspended the state law that limits greenhouse gas emissions.

He believes climate change is real and man-made. He voted for Obama in the 2008 presidential election and he is running last among in the polls for good reasons.

If conservatives don´t fight and fight hard in 2014 and 2016, this country will fall to the progressives. The longest and hardest fought battle will be with the establishment Republicans. Every conservative candidate will be facing two groups of opponents; the democrat machine and our lovely establishment hacks who will do anything in their power to tank a conservative´s campaign. If you believe the establishment will get behind the conservative if he/she wins the primary, think again. It will take the power of the people for a conservative to win and it will get ugly. The ruling class (ER´s) will not go quietly into the good night.

#9 Absolutely correct. Conservatives are harangued to vote for the Establishment candidates, but I sincerely doubt the moderates anywhere (including the ones on Lucianne) will vote for the conservative candidates.

Their battle cry is, "we all must vote for the Establishment, then LATER we can settle our differences." Not this time.

We were instructed yesterday to send money directly to the candidates. Right on. Money going from Kentucky to Donnelly this morning. Thank you, LA Times for the good information.

Donnelly, who is more conservative than Kashkari, said his lead in the polls shows that California Republicans don´t want to become more centrist, which many in the establishment have suggested is the party´s path back to power.

Being a centrist is like "being a little bit pregnant".

I dunno. The "haranguing" seems to be coming from those who vow not to vote for any but their own personal favorite. Since most of us have different preferences, that might not work out. How about we campaign for and support our favorite as long as he or she is standing and then band together to defeat the Democrat. I´ve said a gazillion times I will vote for the Republican nominee in the general election, even if that person was never my first, second or never choice.

What #13 said. Vote for your preference in the primary. Vote for any Republican in the general election.

We have watched spiteful Republicans sit out elections when their favorite didn´t make it through the primary - and we have watched the Democrat win as a result of their abdication of their responsibility to vote.

Spite gets us absolutely nowhere.

As for California, the reality is that the Democrat registered voters outnumber the Republicans by a significant percentage. Those voters registered as Declined to State are the key to any Republican victory. Donnelly may be too far right to win a general election against Jerry Brown.

Reality, folks. Reality.

That said, I´ll vote for Donnelly. Kashkari is not my type. And I wonder if President Bush really "supported" him. He´s dropped a lot of big names for an unknown virtual nobody.

I know a handful of decline to states. Their reason, as is mine, is that neither party represents our interests anywhere, both being too far left. Certainly to small of a sample to be scientific, but I think it would be safer to think DTS voters are not centrist.

What do we need to turn our country around? Well, for starters, we need a president who stops getting his energy policies from Hollywood movies — and Hollywood liberals. Consider President Obama’s dithering when it comes to approving the Keystone XL pipeline. First proposed in 2008, this massive infrastructure project would bring low-cost crude oil from fields in Canada southward to the United States. Despite nearly six years of government reviews — and nearly four dozen oil and gas pipelines already safely operating between the U.S. and Canada — the Obama administration and the State Department still have not approved the

On the other hand, the evil kings and judges brought famine and destruction upon the people and the land (does any of this sound familiar?) Dr. Ben Carson once made the observation that “political correctness” acts as a “muzzle” to quell legitimate dissent against the status quo. That is undoubtedly a true statement. But to drive in the stakes and build our intellectual ramparts on this point is little more than ceding coveted ground in an argument against a completely unfounded doctrine that presents falsehoods as facts. There is a more fundamental observation upon which we can mount our legitimate defense against the doctrine of “political correctness,” and it lies in the simplest inspection of the phrase “politically correct.” Inherent in those two words’ juxtaposition is
